Chapter Three
Silence.
"So, have you... erm... uh..." Gaster's voice trailed off, his efforts to break the silence failing miserably but Toriel understood him.
"Yes, I have," Toriel answered awkwardly.
"Okay."
More silence.
"I'll go grab some drinks," he said quickly before entering the kitchen.
He came out carrying a bottle of red wine and two wine glasses.
"Gaster! What about the kids?" Toriel gasped.
"Don't worry, I telepathically told Sans that Asriel and Chara are staying for the night.
"It helps to have telepathic powers," Gaster said in a husky voice as he poured the wine into a wine glass.
He gave the wine glass to Toriel.
"O-oh. Thanks," Toriel said, blushing.
"No problem," he replied as he poured some wine for himself.
"Cheers to us," Gaster said as he raised his glass.
"Cheers to us."

After a few glasses of the intoxicating liquor, they were drunk as hell. They loosened up and started talking about random things.
They soon got to a particular topic.
"Kids," Gaster drawled in a drunken matter. Too much wine for the skeleton.
"Huh?"
"Your kids. They're a prooooblem. To me," he clarified, eyes rolled back.
Toriel was shocked.
"H-how so?" she asked.
"Two kids are alreeeeaaaaady a challenge, not to mention four. Plus, you have a human child. A human!"
Toriel was speechless. The charming scientist that she fell in love with was not like this.
She did not expect to hear what he said next.
"I want you... to get rid of them. In anyway possible."
An eerie silence filled the room.
"If I don't?" Toriel asked. She tried to sound defensive, but her question came out as a mouse's squeak.
"I won't marry you."

Neither knew that someone - a certain skeleton - had overheard them.
Struggling to not drop their guest's dinner - spaghetti.
