Part 2: Going Through The Motions

*Starting Scene*

Maky, having switched his attire to a green t-shirt and brown cargo pants so he could comply with Quinn's suggestion, presently sits at a booth belonging to a diner. With the elongated, glass window towards his right, the gentleman demonstrates a dumbfounded expression due to witnessing the pile of whole pizzas stacked atop Quinn's plate.

Quinn quickly grabs a slice via her left hand after adding some Parmesan cheese to the pizza at the top as she's on the verge of eating until registering Maky's conduct, causing her to stop short. "Something wrong?"

Maky views Quinn, specifically her body while seeing the long-sleeved, open chest sweater that fits well onto her person, prior to reverting his attention to the numerous pizzas. Then, the young man focuses upon his own plate as he finds a lone burger there and thinks, "I'm a wimp, aren't I? I worried about controlling my amount of food consumption, but..." Maky slowly brings his sight back to Quinn.

Quinn becomes flustered and lowers her elevated appendage. "Please, spit it out. I'm insecure."

Maky restrains himself from laughing as he smirks. "Could've fooled me. Has nobody ever commented on your eating?"

Quinn innocently nods. "Yeah, that I'm a healthy eater. My family, friends and even boyfriends all say that."

Maky establishes a bland attitude while thinking with his vision shifted eastward, "They can be kind, or lie depending on perspective, about that... Yet, they're incapable of humoring her belief of being a vampire..." He closes his eyes to sharply exhale, dropping his head a tad and thinks, "More research must be done." Maky promptly resets his gaze towards Quinn as he quips in a smart-ass tone, "I'm surprised that a vampire such as yourself isn't chowing down on something with blood."

Quinn shuts her eyes and emits pride. "This is my preferred substitute for that." She lifts her western limb to bite off a piece of her pizza.

Maky grows skeptical. "Is that right?"

Quinn observes Maky again. "Well, I can't go draining the blood of random people. It's not safe, considering diseases and such. Also, I quit stealing from the blood bank recently. Limited options, you understand?"

Maky pulls his head back out of astonishment as he strive to keep control of his voice's volume. "You did what?!"

Quinn giggles amidst continuing her consumption while partially stretching her right arm forth to wave her hand at Maky. "I'm joking. I wouldn't rob a blood bank. I don't own the proper equipment."

Maky cocks his right eyebrow. "But if that wasn't an issue, would you?"

Quinn drops her eastern limb and peers downward as she temporarily ceases eating. "Enough about me. On to you." She swallows the food within her mouth, tilting her head back while containing her eyes closed.

Maky delivers a scrutinizing stare, thinking, "Way to dodge the question. You've barely told me much about you anyway." The male soon grabs his burger through use of his right hand and inquires with his concentration glued to the meal, "You wanna' know something in specific or should I list off random facts and interests?"

Quinn halfheartedly grins at Maky. "The latter would be good, however, I'd probably fail to remember most of them. It takes time for things to stick. Here's an example."

Maky steers his sight towards Quinn with a hint of curiosity, although becomes moderately impatient after a decent period of the dame refraining from following her last sentence.

Quinn eventually states as an ashamed demeanor is emanated, "What's your name again?"

Maky chuckles, skepticism switching places with his previous behavior. "Is that it? You know it's normal not to immediately record a person's name when you meet them. That wasn't that good of an example."

Quinn contorts herself towards Maky and defensively utters, "So you forgot mine too?!"

Maky vaguely cocks his head westward with uncertainty shown. "Quinn, right?"

Quinn retains her position, allowing Maky a good depiction of her cleavage, as she gains a sense of accomplishment. "You see?!"

Maky plainly responds, having glimpsed at Quinn's chest. "What I see is that I fit the group who doesn't forget people's names that fast. I mentioned it was normal, not that everybody always do it. By the way, I wasn't entirely positive. That's why I answered via asking."

Quinn lowers her person towards the table while letting go of the slice of pizza within her left hand upon her plate so she can perch both hands accordingly for leverage. Simultaneously, the brunette portrays minor ferocity as she blurts, effortlessly obtaining the attention of the diner's workers and other clients with a startled conduct enveloping them, "So which is it?! Are you dense or not?!"

Maky holds back his laughter after having been briefly stunned with his head straightened. "I suppose that's how you label yourself, huh? Besides a vampire. Oh, and I'm a fan of big tits hanging in front of me... But you're about to make a mess."

Confusion overcomes Quinn until she hurriedly aims her vision southward, discerning that her sweater is an inch from pressing against the pile of pizza. This results in the chick scrambling to move away while yelling out of panic.

The folks inside of the diner flinch in alarm since they all tried to mind their own business.

Maky chuckles once more prior to taking a bite off his burger and ultimately questions in a nonchalant manner with his eastern appendage brought next to its corresponding cheek, "It appears that vampires aren't as finesse as someone would expect."

Quinn momentarily scans over her attire to ensure isn't stained as she rebuttals to Maky's words with mild agitation exhibited. "We're more than the average human." The beauty shifts her gaze towards Maky. "Still, the stereotypes in many areas that people have for us are off."

Maky rests what's left of his food onto his plate, wipes the greasy hand formerly carrying it with a nearby, moist napkin while continually watching Quinn and curiously inquires, "Like the sole need of drinking blood, correct?" The lad finishes cleaning his limb to fold both arms across his midsection, having gingerly pushed his meal westward so he can mount his appendages upon the table. "I'm familiar with some basics of vampires, but the part of what they consume is kinda' escaping me right now." Maky softly laughs with minuscule embarrassment presented.

Quinn embeds both hands on her bare lap thanks to the denim, blue shorts she's wearing and swaps her demeanor with a calmer personality. "Honestly, that one varies among vampires. Some that are really wrong would be things which sound ridiculous to affect my kind."

Maky innocently asks, "Garlic?"

Quinn abruptly exclaims in an upset tone, "I hate it! That's usually their go-to argument against me!"

Maky faintly turns his head eastward without removing his concentration from Quinn. "I'm getting this impression you enjoy it."

Quinn grows defensive. "Why would I like folks picking apart my tastes?!"

Maky blandly replies amidst directing his head properly. "Not what I meant. I was referring to the garlic."

Quinn's eyes rapidly light up. "Oh, I LOVE eating garlic!" The female unexpectedly becomes sad and looks throughout the booth, even checking under the table. "But there isn't any around..." Quinn soon halts her search while situated vertically and hangs her head from disappointment, groaning a tad.

Maky diverts his attention to the serving counter as he points via his right hand's index finger while sustaining his arms entwined. "I think they keep it over there."

Quinn doesn't waste a second in dashing towards a worker stationed behind the counter before shouting with determination displayed while possessing her hands tightly clenched at their respective sides, "Gimme garlic!"

Maky's baffled, his eyes set on Quinn's posterior, and mumbles, "Damn, that was fast. Maybe she is a vampire."

Quinn promptly returns to the booth, her hands joined ahead of her torso to hold the numerous packs of garlic she received. With that, the damsel dumps the objects atop the table and has them encompass her plate of pizzas prior to sitting down as she eagerly opens several packets.

Maky witnesses that with an amused smirk. "You're pretty passionate." He rolls his eyes to the right. "Of course, that was sorta' proven by your suicide attempt."

As a result of Maky absentmindedly making such a remark, a couple seated at the booth behind him immediately stiffen out of shock and eventually draw their vision to the main pair.

Quinn begins pouring some of the garlic onto her food via both hands while eyeing Maky as she earnestly declares, "You got that right!" A glimmer of intrigue is then reflected by the chick, calming down a bit. "What about you? What excites you in life?"

Maky momentarily ponders over Quinn's inquiry until veering his focus to what remains of his meal. "The stuff I'm interested in are fairly common for a guy. I don't have much ambitions though. Simplicity is what I'm accustomed to and I'm quite fond of it."

Quinn blankly stares at Maky and persists her implementation of garlic to her pizzas.

Maky notices Quinn's behavior as vague concern surfaces. "Okay, I feel that you're kinda judging me right now. What? Do you think that way of living is boring?"

Quinn firmly nods, gathering the remaining garlic packets on top of the table. "Without a doubt."

Maky chuckles with his eyes shut. "No surprise there. That's the usual treatment I get from people. I guess that's my equivalence to you getting denied your identity."

Quinn lowers her hands, having finished her process of drowning her food in garlic. "Mine's cooler."

Maky snaps his eyes open, taken aback substantially, as he nervously grins. "I wasn't aware that we were competing." The fellow briefly laughs again, relieving the minor tension that plagued him. "If that's the case, gotta' agree with you."

Quinn giggles victoriously before hoisting another slice of pizza towards her lips, neglecting that she had yet to be done with the previous one. "It's alright. I'll help you change that. So long as you don't mind, that is."

Maky demonstrates a lackadaisical attitude. "By all means, give it your best shot. Just don't be too pushy about it. I'll react negatively."

Quinn smiles. "Thanks for the warning. I wouldn't wanna' piss you off. You've been great." She chomps down on her pizza prior to widening her eyes in an alarmed manner. This is instantly followed by Quinn bending eastward as she loudly gags multiple times.

Maky observes Quinn's struggle while petrified amidst thinking, "Garlic really is a vampire killer?!"

Quinn ultimately detains her horrid coughing and repairs her posture as she maintains her grasp of her pizza, uttering in a partially strained voice, "Forgot to spread the garlic evenly among the pizzas. That's what I call a SUDDEN OVERLOAD."

Maky nods as he politely comments, "Definitely. Sorry I almost let you die there. I never learned the Heimlich."

Quinn confidently responds while swiping a little of the garlic upon the other slices via her left appendage to resume her consumption of that pizza within the opposing hand's grip. "No need to fret. Vampires don't choke." She gingerly laughs.

Maky swiftly emits an inquisitive personality and leans towards Quinn somewhat. "Now that you mention it, and calling back to what you said earlier, you mind telling me about vampires. You know, the truths and lies of them."

Delight mixed in with tenacity engulfs Quinn, cancelling her intention of eating to speak through dropping her food onto its corresponding plate. "It'd be my pleasure. I'm glad you're eager to learn." The dame shows a small sign of dissatisfaction. "You have no idea how often folks tend to avoid further discussions about the subject after I divulge my identity to them." Quinn soon perks up via a gleeful smirk. "So, ask away! It makes it easier for me to have a question to sink my teeth into than listing whatever details arise from my noggin!" She deviates her gaze westward while muttering with irritation established, "I might accidentally blurt out something awkwardness-inducing. I'm like that."

Maky raises his left eyebrow, suspicion presented. "You okay there?"

Quinn snaps her head to properly view Maky again as cheerfulness takes over. "Totally! Let's get on with what you wanna' know!"

Maky nods while gently plant his backside against his seat and leisurely states, "I'm already aware that you don't need to drink blood and garlic isn't as effective as people thought. I won't bother with asking about the stake to the heart. That kills any ordinary person."

Quinn mildly slants her head eastward. "Right?! I don't really get why that bears so much significance!" The female angles her head to its usual upright stance while settling down her tone a tad. "It was probably 'cause of the time that the information was being spread. Sharp pieces of wood were more accessible, but it should've been updated not long after."

Maky finally decides to separates his arms interaction so he can place them behind his head and commandeers his sight to the diner's counter. "Yeah, talk about negligence." The young man reverts his concentration to Quinn. "How about the immortality? Have you been alive for centuries?"

Quinn giggles. "What a clever way to figure out my age. Only insecure, older women are angered by that." She closes her eyes. "Fine, I'll let you know. I'm 23."

Maky's contentedly surprised. "Same here!" The brown-haired individual then inquires with faint scrutiny portrayed, "So you're of the current generation, huh? Are you one of those vampires who aren't troubled by daylight?"

Quinn snaps her eyes open to fiercely glare at Maky. "If you're suggesting that I sparkle, I'm gonna' throttle you!"

Maky becomes fearful a bit, putting his hands over the table amidst gesturing them towards Quinn. "What? It's valid, isn't it?" He maneuvers his partially extended limbs to sink them underneath the booth and regains his composure. "We're basically debunking the fabrications of your kind during this process of me learning about you. Let's cover all the bases."

Quinn includes annoyance to her conduct as she crosses her arms, causing her breasts to stick out a little. "But that one goes without any need of explanation! You did that just to piss me off since there's no way you're dense enough to think a vampire would be a fan of such a franchise! Most movies mock us, so imagine that piece of-"

Maky hastily interrupts via directing his western appendage at Quinn following its resurfacing from below the table. "Alright, you can chill now." The gentleman mounts his arm's elbow accordingly to rest its hand against his left cheek as he remarks, "I wasn't trying to provoke a rage-filled rant, honestly." Maky smiles with a scoff leaving his lips. "Sure was funny though."

Quinn gingerly bites her tongue while thinking, "He's testing my patience, I see." She quickly keys onto the fact Maky's focus is idling southward a tad and eventually realizes what he's staring at via glimpsing towards her midsection. Afterwards, Quinn instills her vision back to Maky with a devilish grin exhibited as she persists her mental dialogue. "Look who's attempting to be sneaky, fawning over my tits!" The young lady promptly moves her plate of food aside by use of her left hand momentarily departing from its unison with her right arm. Once that's accomplished, Quinn contorts herself towards Maky to better show off her chest while seductively saying, "Next question, please."

Stone-faced, Maky depicts Quinn's cleavage for a few seconds until locking eyes with the chick. "Congratulations. I'm too distracted to remember what I wanted to ask, so you can go back to chowing down and I'll sit here quietly."

Quinn curiously cocks her left eyebrow without altering her position. "That way you're able to enjoy the view in peace?"

Maky tilts his head eastward in a suspecting way. "You certain that you aren't like a specific, fictional, mind reading character?"

Quinn shuts her eyes amidst getting quite aggravated and situates herself upright. "Go to hell." She then stoically brings her attention to her stack of pizzas to grab a slice and gradually eats it.

During that, Maky fixes his head's posture as he watches Quinn in amusement.
