Chapter 21

It was now Friday, and Amaya was heading to the host club's room, wanting to tell them quickly that she woulden't be able to attend. She walked inside and felt the other's look over at her.

"You're late." Kyoya said calmly.

"I had to talk to a teacher." Amaya lied, "A-Also, I-I won't be able to s-stay... I have o-other plans." She muttered, looked down at the ground. "Sorry..." She turned and headed out of the door, when she felt two pairs of hands grab onto her.

"Where are you going?" Hikaru asked.

"Can we come too?" Koaru finished.

Amaya looked at them, "S-Sorry. I-I'm a-afraid y-you can't." She said, "Y-you had to of be-en i-invited." She hated hiding truth from her friends, but she didn't want them following her.

"Well, I'm sure we'll be able to get through anyways." Tamaki said.

"I-I said y-you weren't a-allowed to come." Amaya said, pulling away from the twins and glancing back, then she headed out of the room, and towards Lobelia middle school.

~Kyoya's POV, 3rd person~
The club watched as Amaya walked out, and they stared at the door in shock.

"What was that all about?" The twins asked together, their faces deadpan.

"She seemed so scared." Tamaki muttered, placing his hand to his chin.

Kyoya was quiet, and he noticed something on the ground near the doorway. He walked up to it and crouched down, picking up the sheet of paper and standing up. He examined it and his eyes widened. "I think I know where she's going." He said, turning around and showing them the paper, or more specifically, the invite to a middle school reunion.

"Why a middle school reunion?" Haruhi asked, "Didn't they just graduate last year?"

"I have a bad feeling about this." Tamaki muttered, "Let's go save her!"

~Amaya's POV, 3rd person~

Amaya stood at the gate, she took a deep breath and opened it, walking inside. This is stupid. Why did they even invite me? This is most likely a prank. She thought to herself. Once she walked inside the gated area, she started to cross a road, suddenly hearing some laughter, and the engine of a car start.

"Hey, Freak! Why don't you go to join your friends!" Someone shouted out, and Amaya's eyes widened as a car drove right up to her, and immense pain spread through her body and she blacked out, the world fading from her view and her life flashing before her eyes.

~No POV~
After Amaya was hit, the car engine stopped and three girls got out of it, and walked over to the unmoving and bleeding Amaya.

They laughed as they grabbed a stick and poked her.

"Freak got what she deserved." One said.

"Hey guys, you think we may of gone a bit far?" One of them asked, her voice timid, "I think we just killed her."

"There's no way." The other one said, "She'll be fine, besides, getting hit by a car doesn't kill you."

"Actually... It does."

The three looked over at Amaya and saw that she wasn't breathing and there was so much blood around her mutilated body.

"What have we done?" One of them asked.

"Amaya!" Someone called out, causing the three girls to turn and looked towards the gates, where a group of some some rather handsome boys were standing.

They looked forward and saw the girls, but they seemed to be looking a bit away from them, at the unmoving body the three were standing behind. They ran up to her.

"Amaya!" Tamaki yelled. "Kyoya, quickly, call an ambulance!"

"They're already coming." Kyoya said, placing his phone back in his pocket. He looked at his love, and knelt down, ignoring the blood that soaked through his uniform. "Amaya..." He said quietly.

~Amaya's POV, 3rd person."

"Guys! I'm r-right here!" Amaya said, her eyes watering. She was standing in front of them, but they wern't paying attention. She looked at each host, Kyoya's eyes were watering and tears were falling down his cheeks, Tamaki had a hand over his mouth and tears were rushing down. Haruhi was shaking with silent sobs, Honey was sobbing too, even Mori was shedding tears.

It pained Amaya to see all her friends like this, Kyoya especially, and she felt tears start to fall down her cheek. "I-I'm dead?" She asked herself, looking down at the body. "N-No... I-I don't believe I-it." She knelt down beside Kyoya, and leaned her head on his shoulder, looking at her mutilated body from outside.

"Amaya!" Someone else shouted, Gigi.

"Gigi!" Amaya exclaimed, standing up and rushing over to her friend. "I-I died! W-what do I-I do now?" She asked, tears still falling down her cheeks.

"No. You can still live!" Gigi said, "It's rare, but some ghosts can still return to their body!"

"What? is that really possible?"

"Yes, it is." Gigi said, "But in doing so, you have to sacrifice something you hold dear."

"Something I h-hold dear?" Amaya asked, her mind flew towards Kyoya, "I-I couldn't!"

"Do you want to live?" Gigi asked, she was serious for once.

"I-I guess I-I do."

"Then make sure to be near your body before the sun rises tomorrow morning." Gigi said. Before Amaya could ask why, Gigi interrupted her, "Just like the setting sun is the end of the day, the rising sun is the beginning, and with the light of the rising sun, a ghost's spirit can be returned to the body they had so recently lost."

Amaya looked at her, and smiled, "I'm thankful Gigi." She said and she hugged her friend, then she heard sirens, "I should get on that ambulance, don't want to loose my body." She said, walking away from Gigi.

"Yeah." Gigi said, giving her a sad closed eyes smiled, "Goodbye my friend. I'll miss you."

Amaya looked at Gigi, confusion in her eyes, "I'll see you again." Amaya said as she climbed into the back behind her body, "Thanks again, Gigi."
