Heshiena's Point of View

After the claiming ceremony, one student sitting on the middle table, particularly the girl who made me kneel before her, approached me. She instructed me to get Nkri, Ace, Blaze, Dash and Mavros. Sa una, nagulat pa ako dahil tinawag niya kami gamit ang aming demigod names.

When I finally obeyed her command, she instructed the six of us to follow her. Dinala niya kami kanina patungo sa room kung saan magpapagawa ng student identification card.

I heard Violeta chuckle. That's her name. Violeta, the girl with light ocean blue eyes. She formally introduced herself earlier.

"Anostatos from the Greek word which means supreme," mahinhin niyang sagot sa akin. While she was uttering those words, her hair gently flowed like a waves.

I gave her a quick nod and smiled. Sinabi pa niya sa akin na there are other four like us na makilala namin mamaya. Including that girl with a dead serious expression plastered upon her face. She even asked me yesterday if I was the one who manipulated the thunderstorm.

I saw Violeta looking at the house. "This is our cabin house," she said with a very welcoming tone in her voice.

Namangha na naman ako matapos niya sabihin 'yon. The academy is really wealthy. Ang sosyal lang dahil ang magiging cabin namin ay bahay na bahay talaga. One more thing, the house even had its own gate.

When Violeta gestured her hand for us to get inside, "welcome back, master Violeta ," the house literally said, "oh, new masters?"

I was taken aback. I even almost cuss in surprise.

"Yes, Faistus!" Violeta answered the house excitedly. She then looked at us with her smile on her face. "Anyway. Iyong nagsalita ay si Faistus. Isa siya sa mga gawa ni Hephaestus," she said, answering our question even we didn't ask.

This whole place never disappoint me. I was taken aback twice when I realized the name Hephaestus. He's the god of fire and blacksmith, right? Bigla naman akong nakarinig ng mga mahihinang kalabog sa kusina. Rinig na rinig ko mula sa kinatatayuan ko ang mga tunog ng kubyertos.

The first thing you saw when entering the house is the wide living room area. Mayroong eighty inches flat screen television. There are a total of three wooden brown couches and a glass circular table at the center.

"Hali kayo, ipapakilala ko kayo sa iba." Nakangiting wika naman ni Violeta.

Violeta's smile is infectious. Napatingin ako kay Ace. Napakaganda nga naman talaga ng mga anak ni Aphrodite. What do I expect? As far as I can remember, Aphrodite is the goddess of beauty and love. She won't be the goddess of beauty for nothing.

"Ang cool ng dorm na 'to. Waaaahhh!" Tumili na parang babae si Ace dahilan para mapailing ako.

Dinaig pa niya ang babae sa tili niya, ah. Narinig ko pa ang mahihinang tawa ni Violeta dahil sa tinuran ni Ace. Dumaan muna kami sa isang hallway, saka lumiko papuntang kitchen. Pagkarating namin sa kitchen, nakita ko naman ang apat pang demigods.

Ang isa naman ay nakasuot ng birthday hat, no doubt today is her birthday. While 'yong isang lalaki naman ay abala sa pagluluto. Mukhang patapos na rin naman siya.

"Guys," tawag naman ni Violeta.

Napatigil silang tatlo sa kanilang ginagawa. Habang 'yong babaeng masungit ay hindi kami tinapunan ng tingin. Diretso lang ang tingin niya sa kaniyang plato, pero alam kong nakikinig lang siya.

"Finally, you guys are here. Come sit, eat with us." Nakangiting saad no'ng babaeng nakasuot ng birthday hat. "Oh, before everything else. Let me introduce myself, I am Blei, daughter of Poseidon, the Lord of the Sea."

Nakita ko namang nagtanggal ng apron 'yong lalaking nagluluto. Saka niya pinatay ang stove. "My name's Fuego, son of Hephaestus, the god of fire and blacksmith." Kung si Blei ay mahinhin, si Fuego naman ay malalim ang boses.

He was wearing a jumpsuit and a black t-shirt under his jumper. He had mocha-brown eyes, a mess and bushy shoulder-length hair. Kapansin-pansin ang makisig niyang pangangatawan. He seems to be working out a lot or perhaps the other way around.

Napatingin kami sa lalaking nagtaas ng kamay. "I am Zuki, son of Apollo, the god of sun, light, healing, disease, plague, music, art, poetry, archery, reason, knowledge, truth, and prophecy." He proudly introduce himself. He even place his left hand on his chest and bow like a prince.

His deity has a lot of contribution, I must say. Nabaling ang aking atensyon sa hitsura niya. He has a golden yellow hair and black eyes. Ang taas ng ilong niya at ang masculine din niya. Tumahimik bigla ang lahat matapos magpakilala ni Zuki.

And then I realized, they were all looking at the girl who had shoulder-length spiky black hair and stormy blue eyes. She's the girl with a dead serious expression plastered upon her face. Tila ba'y wala siyang ganang ipakilala ang sarili niya.

I heard Violeta's sigh of defeat.

"Alright. She's Chrysos, daughter of Zeus, the lord of the sky and the king of the gods." Violeta was the one who introduced in behalf of her. "Ganiyan talaga ang ugali niyan. She's cold as ice." Binasag ang katahimikan sa pamamagitan ng kaniyang pagtawa.

"Tsk," rinig kong asik ni Chrysos.

Hinayaan na lamang namin si Chrysos to have her privacy. Niyaya kaagad nila kami na kumain. Kahit na busog kanina sa claiming ceremony, sumabay kami sa kanila lalo na't birthday ni Blei. Kinantahan muna namin siya ng happy birthday song bago kumain.

"Iyang kwarto na 'yan ay matagal ng hindi pa nagagamit. Hindi namin alam kung para saan 'yan, pero pagdating namin dito nandiyaan na 'yan. One more thing, you guys can find your names on the door's signage plate."

Just wow. I'm speechless.

"You mean, automatic na lalabas ang name namin kapag dadating kami?" we heard Blaze asked her.

She smiled. "Exactly. Narinig niyo magsalita 'yong bahay, 'di ba? That's her duty," she answered. "Everything inside this house is her duty. This dorm house is designed to protect us, to make our lives easy, and comfortable," she added.

"That's cool," komento pa ni Ace.

"Indeed. But there's always the opposite of that." Dahil sa sinabi ni Violeta, napatingin kami sa kaniya nang naguguluhan. When she realized what she just said, she cleared her throat, probably to avert the topic. "Questions in your mind will be answered once the opening of the class will start. As of now, hanapin niyo na lang ang name ninyo. Just don't be shy, after all this is now your home," she added and excused herself.

After Violeta excused herself. Sinimulan ng hanapin ng kasama ko ang kanilang pangalan sa mga pintuan. Pero hindi ko nahanap ang akin. Doon ko na lamang namalayan na nakapasok na pala sila lahat. Ako na lang ang natira mag-isa rito sa hallway.

Tinablan na naman ako ng kakaibang kaba. Nagsiliparan na naman ang napakaraming what if's sa isipan ko. Pero nahinto lamang ako sa pag-o-overthink nang biglang may tumamang nakakasilaw na liwanag sa mata ko. The reason why I quickly covered my eyes.

After a couple of seconds, the dazzling light faded. Unti-unti ko na ring inalis ang aking kamay na nakatakip sa aking mga mata. And there I saw the trace of light from the rectangular wooden signage of the door. Nakita ko ang aking demigod name na nakaukit doon.

"Anostatos Cabin." Iyan lamang ang lumabas na mga salita sa aking bibig bago ako lamunin ng sariling antok.
