4. Party Crashers

By the end of the week, the party was already beginning, and you were still in the apartment getting ready for the party. You weren't going to dress all fancy, but wearing something casual was something you wanted to wear to the party.

Outfit:

"Luffy? Are you almost ready?" You called from the other side of the room since he was changing into his clothes to wear for the party.

"Almost!" Luffy said.

You were putting on your makeup, wearing some mascara and jewelry, and tying your hair into a bun/ponytail. You heard the door open from the bathroom, and Luffy appeared by the doorway. He wore a bright, leathered jacket, a white t-shirt, black pants, and white shoes.

"Wow! You look amazing!" You complimented.

"You think so? You look great too." Said Luffy.

"Oh, thank you." You said as you grabbed your purse and noticed Luffy was carrying around the straw wrapped around his neck. "Luffy, don't you want to leave your straw hat?"

"No." He replied.

"Are you sure? What if you lose it at the party?" You asked.

He furrowed his eyebrows, saying, "I won't lose it. I can look after it."

"Alright, let's go."

~
Luffy and your road to where the party is located, and as they arrive, there is a house in the distance, lit up with lights, some balloons, and cars parked around. It looked scarier on the outside, but wait until you two entered the inside.

"Wow! A lot of people showed up here." Said Luffy.

"Yeah. A lot of them have shown up..." You said, putting your car in park as you remove your car keys and put them in your purse. "...Are you ready? Just try not to make a scene."

"What do you mean?" He asked.

Looking out of the window, you could see Vanessa was there along with Dylan, her date, just walking towards the house together.

"You mean that girl from a few days ago?" Luffy asked.

"Yes, and she's dating a popular student on campus." You replied.

"Is he that popular? He doesn't look like it to me." Luffy shrugged his shoulders as he unbuckled his seatbelt. "Anyway, come on. We're going to have a great time inside!" He said, opening the door to get out as you got out of the car to follow Luffy inside.

When you two entered, many people danced, gossiped, drank, and took selfies with each other. Luffy was smiling and looking around since he seemed to like being around everyone that wanted to be a party animal.

"Wow! This place is cool!" He grinned.

"Luffy, stay close, okay." You said, taking his hand to make sure he wasn't going to slip away from you. You felt like mothering this boy that was going to get lost in such a vast crowd.

The two of you were stuck together looking around and decided to walk around to see where everything was. Once you entered a room, cigarette smells were from arming, and you almost gagged because it might be the weed they were smoking.

"Hey, Y/N, are any of your friends here?" Luffy asked.

"I think Giselle might be here. She told me that she was coming." You replied.

Luffy nodded as he kept his grip on you. As one of the students noticed you two and offered a cigar. You politely declined, and Luffy did the same as you walked off to another room with fewer people or seemed to be not so crowded.

"I think this is a better room because nothing is happening here." Said Luffy as he smiled down at you.

"Yeah." You said, smiling in relief.

"Are you two next?" One person asked.

"No. Next to be what?" You asked.

"To go in the room to do a game." They asked, as your eyes slightly bulged in realizing what the game meant.

"What kind of game is it?" Luffy asked.

"Dude, you seriously don't want your girlfriend too--"

"Nevermind! We're not interested!" You blurted out.

Dragging Luffy off again, but into another room down the hallway as you covered your face feeling flustered after that embarrassing conversation. Luffy was looking at you for a moment tilting his head.

"Are you okay? I don't get why that guy asked us to play that game even though he didn't explain how to do it." Said Luffy, looking down at you quite innocently.

"Don't worry about it, Luffy. You don't need to know what they want us to do." You reassure, not looking back at him, only facing the opposite direction smelling the alcohol hit your nose.

"It is weird that they think we're a couple." He said.

"Does it...bother you?" You asked.

"I don't see--" He was cut off by someone falling off the rail and onto the ground that was shirtless and had paint written on their chubby belly saying, "Fuck Life!" and ran off screeching.

"That was weird." Said Luffy.

"Yeah. I'm going to use the bathroom." You said, turning your heel to walk upstairs as Luffy came behind you.

"You want me to come?" He asked.

"No, I'll be fine." You reassured as you ran up the stairs to go to the bathroom and left Luffy alone.

Luffy P.O.V.

This whole place was wild and ongoing for these people to party around not, unlike back at home, where the party that I hosted was much more fun than this. While Y/N was using the bathroom, I was leaning against the wall waiting for her to come back, until I saw a familiar girl laughing her head off with a couple of other girls. I realized that it was Vanessa and she was here after we saw her a few minutes ago when we got here. She's Y/N's friend too, and I don't see an issue with talking around her.

Her head turned towards me as our eyes met, as she smiled, "Luffy! You came to the party. You look great!" She complimented.

"Thanks!" I smiled.

"Is Y/N here?" She asked.

"Yeah. She's using the restroom right now. I'm waiting for her until she gets back." I replied.

"Well, since you two are here, why not. I'll show you around and meet the host." She said, taking my hand in hers to drag me away, but I refused to leave.

"No. I can't leave Y/N alone when I have to stay here." I said, giving her a firm stare as she rested a hand on her hip.

"What are you? Her bodyguard?" She sarcastically asked.

"No. I'm her friend."

"Come on~" She whined. "It'll be quick." She said as she dragged me into the party room with many people dancing in the center.

__

"Luffy?" You looked around to see that he was already gone and nowhere to be seen.

'God dammit...you leave him in one place, and he's gone the next.' You thought.

That was when you saw Giselle holding a drink in her hands as she greeted you.

"Y/N! I'm glad that you made it." She said.

"Have you seen Luffy anywhere?" You asked.

"No. Who's that? Is he your date?" She asked.

"Sort of. Look, I need to look for him and--"

"Hey! Don't eat all the food, you jackass!" One male shouted over the music as you went over to investigate the scene, and through the crowd, it was Luffy holding four plates in his hands when a guy was confronted in front of him.

"Hey, I get the food and party along. So, leave me alone." Luffy back-talked, and the male glared at him during the overheated conversation.

"Whatever, just put some back so that your big mouth doesn't devour it all." The other guy ranted at the boy.

"I don't want to~" Luffy whined.

You went over to Luffy, saying, "Hey, Luffy? Why not have two plates instead of four? That sounds better, right?" Only Luffy could pout that he was taking his food away from the people who wouldn't let him eat in peace.

"But Y/N--"

"Is he your date?" The guy that was fussing over Luffy asked you.

"Uh, yeah."

"Well, tell him to put some of it back because the rest of us would like some food too." He remarked.

You turned to look back at Luffy, giving him a pleading expression as the young male just frowned and put two plates back before walking off in another direction. You followed after her as Luffy sat down at a table to eat.

"I'm sorry about that, Luffy. I didn't want you to get into trouble." You said, looking at him a bit apologetically.

"That guy doesn't seem to know that there is plenty of food in storage from what I saw after sneaking behind back." Said Luffy as he took a bite out of his slice of pizza. "There were like thirty boxes in the back." He quieted.

"Hm, well, they didn't know so..."

"Here. I would have four plates, besides the third one is yours. You can have it." He said you looked slightly surprised because Luffy had been staying with you. He would never share with you, but he wanted to do it tonight.

"Thanks." You smiled, took the slice of pizza, asking, "Where did you run off?" You asked, taking a bite from your meal.

"I was going to wait for you until Vanessa showed up. She brought me along and introduced me to Dylan, the party host here."

"You met Dylan?" You asked.

"Yeah. He wasn't that cool, only a bit awkward to everyone, especially when the girls who were sworn around him." He replied, shrugging his shoulders as he took another bite from his pizza.

Giselle showed up where the two of you were as she covered her mouth to see that you were eating with Luffy.

"Ooh~ I see that you've found yourself a man." She grinned.

You rolled your eyes at your friend for doing this right before you. She looked back at Luffy as she greeted herself, "Hi, you must be Luffy. I'm Y/N's friend Giselle." She introduced as Luffy smiled at her.

"Nice to meet you!" He said, smiling up at her as the young female turned back at you.

"Y/N, you must come with me and see Peter Parker to do a backflip on top of the roof! He's going to jump in the pool in the backyard." She said as she squealed.

"Is he? Hopefully, he won't kill himself." You mumbled.

Giselle dragged you out of your seat and through the crowd leaving Luffy alone again. While Luffy finished his pizza and wiped his hand with a napkin, Vanessa appeared holding a drink in her hands as she went over to Luffy.

"Hey, Luffy, would you mind coming with me?" She asked.

"Uh...sure?" He stood up to follow her to the room and looked around the house. The same guy was there, and she entered with him guarding the door.

Luffy enters the room. He looked around the room. That was slightly old but had a firm mattress on the floor. That there was no bed, no dresser, but an open window. The smell in the room got to him, and it was dusty and heated.

"What are we doing in here?" He asked.

"I just thought maybe we could... Do you know? Have a bit of fun in here?" As she walked up in front of him, Vanessa said, turning her head to the corner. Her lips curve into a lustful smile on her face.

"Fun? Oh! Like a game, we could play?" He asked.

Vanessa walks back to him with her hand on his chest, and a smile curves up. The look in her eyes didn't match from before as they revealed lust and passion that Luffy didn't sense anything from it.

"I just think we could play a game of cat and mouse while we're alone in here." She smirked.

"How do you play?" He asked.

The look Vanessa gave him sent a shiver down his spine, and the exact same feeling from the girls he met back in his world didn't affect him at all.

"Why not I take your hat and--"

"Hey, don't touch my hat." He said, giving her a straight-up warning. "No one touches my hat. It's mine."

"Okay, dude. Relax." She said as she purred, leaning forward up to his face. "Just relax, and we can--"

The door bursts open to reveal you are standing by the doorway as the two look back at you.

Glaring at Vanessa, that was trying to seduce Luffy, didn't seem to work one bit, even if she was trying to get to him.

"Would you lay off?" You frowned.

"I would if you could get out and leave us alone. You're ruining everything!" She ranted.

"Oh, I am ruining everything? You're the one trying to get into his pants, you damn whore!" You shouted, shoving her aside as Luffy watched the two of you argue.

"What did you call me?" Vanessa growled.

"You heard me. Come on, Luffy, we're going home." You grabbed his hand as he looked at you and then at Vanessa before the brunette woman began to shout out.

"You forget about that. This is Dylan's party, Y/N! You think just walking away is going to help you one day?" She spoke up as you continued to ignore her. "I guess no one knows who wants to date a fat chubby cow that isn't going to get any guy's attention."

Luffy turned around to hear her say those things that just made you. His eyes widened, but there was the rage as he glared back at Vanessa.

"Hey," He spoke in a deep raspy voice. "You don't say that to anyone if you think that big mouth of yours got something to say about everyone. Y/N is fine the way she is, and how you talked to her like that was unnecessary." He hissed.

Vanessa rolled her eyes at the boy, "Why do you care? She's not even that pretty or good-looking to party with others around here." Luffy kept an intense glare at her even though Vanessa tried to stay calm, and she was afraid of that stare.

"Because she's my friend, and I don't want anyone to judge her what's on the outside. The inside is what counts, you jerk!" He growled as he tugged you out of the house to head back outside and where you two parked.

When you both enter the car, Luffy looks over at you, asking, "Don't listen to what Vanessa said about you, Y/N. She doesn't know what she's talking about. Even that big mouth doesn't seem to know when to shut up."

You looked over at Luffy, faintly smiling, saying, "Your too good for me even if I have been through some tough stuff. Thanks for standing up for me."
