A Few Days Later

I sigh as I open my eyes to look at my breakfast on the table. Levin has been frantically working on security around Phoenix Drop and making sure Aphmau is safe with all the others. With this, I haven't seen him in a few days and I really miss spending time with him.

Aphmau has been locked up in her house for a while refusing to leave. I tried to talk to her but she never wanted to, she just wanted to look after Lilith. I really felt bad for her, I didn't realize how close she was with Aaron. I wonder if Lilith knows that Aaron is gone too... It's sad to lose a person that you really care about.

Garroth has been getting used to things quickly. Since he has been gone for years things have changed. There are new weapons, tools, and techniques that are designed to make it easier to fight and get through life. It is difficult to learn it in such a short time but he is learning quickly.

Someone knocks on my door making me groan. I slowly shuffle towards the door and open it, "Yes?" I look up to see Pierce. "(Y-Y/N)." I try to shut the door but he stops it once again, "Wait." I look back at him, "What do you need?" "I-I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I didn't know you would react this way." I scoffed, "Wouldn't think I would react this way?! Pierce, I have a boyfriend, why would you kiss me?" He shakes his head, "I-I don't know! It was just bugging me, I had to tell you!" I sigh, "Pierce I just-it just- it scared me. I thought Levin would hate me after that." He looks at me with mournful eyes, "C-Can you forgive me?" I look down for a few seconds before responding, "Don't do something like that again." "Okay." "Then sure." Pierce smiles at me, "Thank you." "Mhm... well I have to go do something so I can't hang out right now." "Okay, bye (Y/N)," Pierce calls as he starts to leave. "Bye Pierce," I call back as I shut the door and turn around looking at my food.

An Hour Later

I knock on Aphmau's door hoping that she will open it. After a few minutes I call out to her, "Aphmau can I come in?" No response. I sigh, "Aphmau I'm coming in." I stride in the house and gently close the door behind me. I look at the floor to see her watching Lilith with red puffy eyes. "Aphmau..." She slowly looks over at me. The sadness in her eyes broke my heart. She was such a nice person, she didn't deserve to feel this way. I slowly walk over to her, "Do you need anything? Anything at all?" She shakes her head no. I look over at Lilith, "She's really cute." Aphmau nods, starting to tear up. I quickly grab a tissue box and hand it to her. She accepts it and takes the box from my hand and taking a tissue out from the box. "Listen Aphmau you don't have to go through this alone, everyone is here for you." She sobs even more. I look at her with tender eyes and quietly whisper, "If you need anything I'm here, Levin's here, Garroth's here Katelyn's here, Malachi's here, everyone is here." With this, I get up and leave Aphmau alone.

Once I make it out of her house I grasp onto my hair and crouch down to the floor, 'W-Why has life done this to her? She doesn't deserve this!' Seeing Aphmau like that breaks my heart. Everything that she has done has resulted to this. 'Maybe I could have done something, I was there! M-Maybe I could have saved Aaron from risking his life!' Tears start to stream from my eyes as I stand up. I wipe the tears from my face and start walking towards Levin's house.

At Levin's House

I knock on his door still feeling kind of depressed. He opens the door surprised to see me. "(Y-Y/N) why are you here?" I hug him and start to cry into his shoulder. Levin jumps a bit but hugs me back. "Let me close the door," Levin says while slowly walking backwards. I remove myself from his and move into his house. Levin closes the door and turns to me, wiping the tears from my eyes, "What's going on?" "I-I just- I could have done something! I could have helped Aaron! I could have saved him! I-I could have done something to possibly help!" Levin pulls me into his embrace and holds me there for a while as I cry into his shoulder. "You're okay (Y/N)," Levin whispers softly in my ear, "You're okay..."
