Previously on Chapter 8

"Killua.... What are we gonna do now?" I asks him. He thought for a moment, then he grins at me. He said something that I'm not expecting at all.

"Let's join a hunter exam!"

-Hunter Exam-

Y/N P.O.V

"Let's join a hunter exam" Killua said. "Hunter Exam? What's that?" I asks him. "That's how a Hunter receive their license" he explain. "Oh... Alright! Let's join the exam" I exclaim. He smiles at me. Then he got up, I look at him confused "wait... Now?" I asks. He laugh at me "no... Next week. Of course now! They are holding the Hunter Exam today" he said. I just pout at him.

Then I got up, he held my hand as we start making our way to where the exam will be held.

Time-skip

It's a long journey and a lot of obstacles, but we finally made it. We are in some kind of basement. There's a lot of strong looking guy here. I gulp at the sight of them. Killua notice this and wrap his arm around my shoulder. "Don't worry baby, I'll protect you" he said. I relax instantly, because I know Killua will protect me no matter what.

Then a guy wearing blue makes his way towards us. I can feel something was off about him. "I can smell poison from this guy... Be careful, okay?" Killua, whispers to me. I turn to him and nod my head.

"Hey! You must be new here" the guy said. "Yeah... You could tell?" I asks. "My name is Tonpa... This is my 35th attempt to the Hunter Exam" he said, proudly. My eyes narrow when he said it's his 35th attempt. 'This guy is bad news' I thought.

Then he took out 3 cans of juice. "Here! Have some drink.... Consider this as a gift of friendship from me" he said. I move my hand to take it. But I can feel it's not a normal juice, Tonpa have poisoned it. He uses a strong laxative, one gulp we'll be going back and forth to the bathroom. Luckily Kikyo have trained me. So I'm immune to poison, just like Killua.

Killua and I look at each other, then we share a smirk. "Gladly! Thank you, Tonpa-San" I said. I open the cap and starts drinking. Killua did the same. "Thank you for the juice, Tonpa-San" Killua said, then he grabs my hand and we walk away leaving a shock Tonpa.

I giggle "the look on his face is priceless" I said. Killua chuckles "yeah... We're immune to poison. But I kinda feel sorry for his next target" he said. "You're right... Hopefully they are either notice it or they are immune like us" I respond. He nod his head and entwined his hand with mine.

Then a loud sound of what seems like an alarm, making me jump. Killua chuckles as I pout at him. "For all the participant of the Hunter Exam, please follow me" he said. "I guess it's time" Killua said. He hand me a skateboard.

"You can ride a skateboard, right?" He asks. I nod my head "piece of cake. I'm a champion before I met you" I said. "Really?" He asks, surprised. "Yupp!!" I said, popping the P. "Let's go then" he said. I nod my head in respond. Then we start riding our skateboard.

"My name is Satotz.... I'll be leading you to the 2nd phase of the Hunter Exam" the proctor said. "2nd? What happen to the 1st phase" I heard a random guy said. Killua and I look at each other and shrug.

"Hey! What are you two doing? That's not fair?!" We heard someone complain. We look back to see a guy wearing suits. "What?" Killua said, bored. "This is an endurance test. Why are you two riding a skateboard" he said. "No it's not, Leorio-San. Satotz-san just simply told us to follow him, he didn't say how" we heard someone else said. We follow the voice to see a boy wearing all green. "Who's side are you on, Gon?" Leorio complaint. "I'm just stating the truth" Gon said. Then he turn to us and smile.

Killua and I look at each other, then we flip off our skateboard and land perfectly on our feet. "I guess we'll run too" Killua said. I just nod my head. "Woah! That's so cool" we heard Gon said. I turn to him to see him catching up with us. He grins at us. "I'm Killua.." Killua said. "I'm Gon" the boy said. "I'm Y/N..." I said, smiling at him, causing Gon to blush a bit. "Gon.... Y/N is my girlfriend so don't even think about it" Killua said. "Killua..." I scold him. "What??" He whines. I just giggle at him. "Don't mind him..." I said to Gon. "But is it true though? Are you two a couple?" Gon asks me. "Yeah... We are" I said.

After a while of running we start to get a little bored. "Hey... How 'bout we race? To see who would finish first" Killua suggest. I turn to him as Gon did the same. "Sure/sounds fun" Gon and I said together. "Alright! The losers by the winner dinner" Killua said. "Ready.... Go!" We yelled together then we start running faster.

We running up the stairs. "I'm surprise you could keep up with me. I'm not surprise about Y/N. Since she's trained the same way as I do"  Killua said to Gon. I look at Gon. "I'm used to this" he said. "Really?" I questions. He nod and smile at me. Then a guy with blond hair caught up. "Ah! Kurapika!" Gon said. Then in the middle of us is the guy from earlier, what's his name again... Or right, Leorio, except he's shirtless now.

"Hey guys! I see the end of the tunnel" I said pointing towards the light. "You're right! Let's speed up" Killua said. Gon and I nod in agreement. Killua turn to Leorio "bye old man" he said. A tick mark appear on his forehead "I'm a teen?! Just like you guys" he screams. We froze "what???!!!!" We screams.

Then we recover. "Anyway... Let's go!" I said. "Ready... Go!!" We said together and sped of. "Goal!" We said together as we pass the finish line. Then we start arguing on who reach first. I turn to Satotz-San. "Ne... Satotz-San... Who finish first?" I asks. "I believe the 3 of you arrived simultaneously" he said. We groans in disappointment.
