July 6th, 2013

It was only twenty-one days after I left and I missed Sydney and Natalie tremendously already. The boys told me that it would be okay. It also seemed like they were keeping something from me. I wanted to know so bad, but they denied knowing anything.

We were now in Hershey, Pennsylvania. We had a show tonight, but then we didn't the next day. Tomorrow is Ashton's nineteenth birthday. We were going out to celebrate. The boys told me that we were just going to enjoy ourselves tomorrow, and they told me not to think about Sydney and Natalie. How could I not think about my family? Especially when Sydney was still in the hospital.

Sydney was getting better, but she still wasn't very well. She updated me every time I called her, which was every day. I was glad she was getting better.

I would be able to see her on August 11th. That was when our next break started. I couldn't wait for that. I liked being on tour, but I hated being away from Syd and Natalie. I counted the days until August 11th. There were 36 days until I saw Natalie and Sydney again. I missed being away from my parents too, but I really missed my family.

The next morning, Calum, Luke and I gathered around Ashton's bed. Luke looked at us and whisper counted: "One, two.. three!"

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHTON!" We yelled.

He jumped up out of bed, and we laughed. He started laughing along with us. He smiled and said, "Thanks guys.. I can't believe I'm nineteen."

"Yeah. And you've been in the band for about one and half of those years," Calum said.

"Those have been the best one and a half years of my life. Thanks guys,"  Ashton smiled at us.

"Don't thank us. Mikey is the one that came up with starting a band," Luke pointed out to him.

"Well, I am thanking all of you, but thank you Mikey for coming up with the idea of the band," he smiled at me.

"It's one of the best decisions I've made," I said, meaning for the other decision to be asking Sydney out. 

"We're going to a bar tonight, right?" Ashton asked. That's what we had planned.

"Yeah, duh," Calum said.

"Awesome. This is gonna be a great birthday.." Ashton smiled.
