Layla POV:

Run. Just run, run from it all. Leave it behind you.

My legs ache from the constant running. My hand covered in blood and dirt. Hair plastered in place with sweat. Clothes torn because the branches hanging from the trees I've ran passed.

As I run the sound of sirens and wind flow in my ears. Slowly my past fades away in my head. I have an idea where I'm going and it's not exactly a good place, but anywhere is better than here. As my feet come in contact with the earth's surface, I trip over roots of a large pine tree. My head landed on a rock and a sharp pain flowed through my head. The world around began to become a blur image.

As my body laid there unconscious, I could hear the faint sounds of sirens and footsteps coming closer. They were looking for me. They want to take me away, but I honestly didn't care because as I said before anywhere is better there here, the town of Mountain View.

"There she is!" , a man called out only a few feet from my body.

"Grab her and put her in the car!" another man said. With that I felt hands under my body haul me up.

That motion cause flash backs creep into my mind along with panic. Against the constant pain in my head, my eyes fly wide open. "Let me go! " I yell fighting against pain and hands pinning me down.

" Not today sweetie, the only place you're going is juvenile prison. " a woman says placing hand cuffs around my wrist. Then suddenly there's a sharp poke on my right arm. I grunt in pain, turn my head to see the source causing the numbing sensation. It's a fucking needle.

"Fuck." is all I say as fall fully unconscious.
