I didn't realize you'd still be living at Nana's old house. Honestly, I thought you'd sell it and move somewhere a little more, I dunno, you.
Anyway, I'm sending you this letter to thank you. You didn't have to give me enough money to pay for rent for a year, especially since we hadn't seen each other in thirty years. I can't tell you enough how much I appreciated your generosity and kindness.
I guess Mother and Father didn't pass down their selfishness to you.

Oh! By the way, I figured now would be a good time to drop my Christmas list:

-new track shoes
-a new shirt (because I feel like I wear the same one every day)
