It was about 2:35 and I was in school. Yep , today's Monday! Great! Note the sarcasm.

I was wearing a pair of Black Jeans with no belt obviously , a white long sleeve and white and black converse with my hair up in a ponytail.

I was sitting in Biology beside Taziyah. I looked at El's empty seat and then at Nicole's empty seat which was beside of El's empty seat which was infront of my seat.

Taziyah: You miss her?

Me: Who?

Taziyah: El.

Me: Yeah and Nicole.

Taziyah: I don't see why you miss that bitch.

Me: Don't talk about her like that. Your just mad that Erik don't want your slutty ass no more!

Teacher: Ladies , is ok there a problem?

I looked at Taziyah then at the teacher.

Me: No.

Teacher: Alright then. Pay attention.

Taziyah: This isn't over.

Me: Whatever.

The bell rang dismissing classing and school. I packed up my things and grabbed my purse , slipping my book bag on my back. I walked out with my phone and keys in my hand.

??: Yasmine!

I turned around and saw a fist coming towards me. It connected with my stomach. I fell down holding my stomach instantly thinking about my baby.

I looked up and saw Taziyah.

Taziyah: Next time you talk to me like that , it's gonna be hell for you. I hope your baby dies.

She kicked me in my stomach twice then walked off. I laid there crying holding my stomach , not being able to move.

??: Yasmine?

I looked up and saw Zariyah.

Me: Take me to the hospital!

She helped me up grabbing my things and guided me over to her car. She put me in the sped off turning on her blinkers.

Her tired came to a screech as she stopped infront of the hospital. She ran over to my side and got me out. She walked me in screaming for a nurse.

Zariyah: Somebody help me!

Me: I think something's wrong with my baby!

A nurse came up with a wheel chair.

Nurse: Sit.

I sat down and she wheeled me off. I still was crying.

I got back in my car and called Jacob. This dumb fuck didn't answer his phone. I called Erik. He answered on the last ring.

Erik: Hey baby , what's good?

Yeah , we ain't dating but he still claims me. Cute right?

Me: Is Jacob with you?

Erik: Yeah , him , Kiara , Lexi , Ja'Bree and some others. Why?

Me: Come down to the hospital.

Erik: Nicky and El okay?

Me: It's about Yasmine.

Erik: Okay we're on our way.

Me: Okay.

I hung up and parked. I got out locking the doors and walking inside the hospital. I sat down and began to play a game in my phone. I looked up when I saw Jordan's infront of me. Everybody was infront of me.

Jacob: Is she okay!? What about my baby?

Me: I don't know yet , the doctor hasn't came out.

Kiara: Okay.

They sat down and Erik grabbed my hand and entwined our fingers.

Erik: Anything happen to you?

Me: No. No I'm fine.

Jacob: What happened?

Me: I don't know. I came out of my classroom a little later then usual to find her on the ground , crying and holding her stomach.

Kiara: Maybe it's something with the baby. Maybe she was just having a cramp or something.

Jacob: Yeah , maybe.

A doctor came out.

Doctor: Yasmine Clarke?

We stood and he walked towards us.

Doctor: Weren't y'all just here for Ms. Jamison and Ms. Carter?

Me: Yes , please hurry with the news.

Doctor: Right , sorry ma'am. Well , nothing major. Ms. Clarke is fine and so is her baby. When she fell , the baby had moved to the other side of her stomach to protect her self , but there on some bruises on her stomach. She can leave anytime.

Me: Thank god she's okay.

Lexi: I'm gonna go see Nicole , then meet y'all at Erik's house.

Erik: Aight man.

Kiara: Yeah , imma visit El and meet y'all there.

Erik: Aight. Y'all be safe.

Me: You too.

He looked at me funnily and laughed.

Erik: Let's go.

We followed behind Jacob , Selena and Carlos.

Me: Baby?

Erik: Hm?

Me: I'm hungry.

Erik: When are you not?

Me: When I'm not eating.

Erik. You made no sense.

Me: Do I ever?

Erik: Now that I think about it , no.

I laughed.

Me: Exactly.

We entered the room. Yasmine was eating grapes and watching Tom and Jerry.

Selena: Hey Yassy.

Yasmine: Hey there Lena.

Selena: How are you feeling?

Yasmine: A little sore , but I'll be fine. How are you?

Selena: This pregnancy is kicking my ass.

Yasmine laughed.

Yasmine: I feel you.

Jacob: Baby , who did this to you?

Yasmine looked down.

Me: Yassy , it's okay to tell cause if it's a girl , imma whoop her ass and of its a boy , Jacob gone whoop they ass.

Yasmine: It was Taziyah.

I started laughing and they looked at me.

Carlos: Why are you laughing?

Me: Cause I coulda sworn I heard Taziyah.

Yasmine: Cause that's what I said.

I nodded.

Me: Baby , can I see your car?

Erik: But you already have one of m-

Me: Now.

Erik: Yeah sure. Here.

We traded keys.

Me: If I'm not back in an hour , I'm in jail.

I ran out before somebody could say something.

( Lexi )

I walked inside of Nicole's room. She still looked the same. Lifeless.

I blame my self for what happened to her. I mean if I ain't let her go , then she wouldn't be up in this shithole of a damn hospital.

I sat down beside her and grabbed her hand.

Me: Well baby. I'm confused as hell because you told me your mom had died , but yet she was here , in this very room yesterday.

I felt a squeeze on my hand. What the hell.

Her eyes started moving but they didn't open.

Me: Come on. Wake up baby.

I felt another squeeze on my hand before her eyes fluttered open.

Nicole: Lexi.

I buzzed for a nurse a nurse came in.

Nurse: Wow. I see she's awake.

Nicole: May I have some water?

Nurse: Sure thing hun , but first if you can feel this , give me a signal.

She slowly slid a knife on her foot lightly.

Nicole: I feel that.

The nurse wrote something on the board.

Nurse: What about this?

She trailed her knife in Nicoles arm.

Nicole: Kind of.

Nurse: Okay.

Me: I'll be back later okay?

Nicole: No , don't leave me please.

Me: Baby I got to. I got to get to the bottom of something.

Nicole: The bottom of what?

Me: As to why your mother is alive and not dead.

Nicole: She's alive!?

Nicole smiled and looked at me with hopeful eyes.

Me: Yes. She'll be over later. I promise

Nicole: Okay.

Me: I love you , ugly.

Nicole: I love you too , monkey.

I gave a kiss to her cheek and walked out.
