( Zariyah )

I looked at my outfit in the mirror before I grabbed my keys and phone and went to the elevator. I took it down to the first level and saw my mom on the couch talking to a man.

Me: Hey mom.

She looked up and smiled.

Mom: Hey Zari. Have you spoke to Nicole today?

Me: Yeah , I'm going to the pier with her today and I bought her some clothes earlier. She's okay , she's with her girlfriend , I dropped her off last night. She'll be back later.

She nodded.

Mom: Okay , cause her mom has been worried sick and is ready to cuss her out.

I laughed and the doorbell rang.

Me: I know. I would be too. But she's fine. I can promise you that.

I'm pretty sure Lexi won't hurt Nicole on purpose.

I walked to the door and opened it. Brandon was standing there tapping at his phone. I cleared my throat mentally rolling my eyes. He looked up and put his phone away. He looked me up and down.

Brandon: You ready.

Me: Mhm.

I turned around.

Me: Mom , I'm leaving!

Mom: Okay! Have fun and be back by 6!

Me: Okay!

I smiled at Brandon and walked out , closing the door behind me.

Brandon: So we're going to the Pier right?

Me: Yeah.

Brandon: Alright.

He got in the Yellow Classic Ferrari and I got in opening my own door.

Me: You know , your supposed to open a ladies door.

He shrugged.

Brandon: I don't really care for that.

Me: Oh. Well okay.

Brandon: So , you look nice.

Me: Thanks. Um you too.

Brandon: If you ain't gone continue with the conversation , then shut up and don't try.

Who the hell this motherfucker think he talking to?

Me: Excuse me?

Brandon: Oh you heard me Zaniyah.

Me: First of all , it's Zariyah. Second of all who the fuck you think you talking to?

Brandon: Didn't I just tell yo dumb ass to shut the fuck up!? You don't know who you messing with.

I leaned over and slapped him.

Me: You better watch who you talking to.

He nodded his head and pulled up to the pier about 20 minutes later.

Me: Don't fucking text me , call me and if you see me in the streets , you don't know me.

I got out and walked off. He sped off , well tried but the engine died. I laughed.

Me: Get yourself a new car! I would let you borrow one of mine , but I don't like you!

I spun around and walked off. I entered the pier and looked around. I didn't see Lexi or Nicky so I walked over to the funnel cakes. As I was walking and digging in my purse , I felt somebody bump into me. I fell down.

Me: Ow.

I looked up and saw a group. In front of me was a boy. He crouched down and helped me pick up my things. I placed them back in my purse taking out 10. He helped me up.

Me: Thank you.

Boy: No problem ma.

I walked around him but he pulled my hand back. I turned around looking at him.

Me: Yes?

Boy: What's your number?

I smiled and took a sharpie from my purse. I wrote 1-800-fuck-no.

I looked back up at him smiling , then I glanced at his arm , then I looked back up at him and did a light laugh. I walked off and to the funnel cakes line.

??: Zari!

I turned around and saw El and Kiara. I smiled and they walked up to me.

El: Hey!

Me: Hey.

El: Who are you here with?

Me: I was supposed to be here with this dude Brandon but he caught an attitude and I slapped the hell out of him. Then when he pulled up here , I got out and he tried to speed off but his engine died.

Kiara laughed.

Kiara: Is he that nigga who was in the Classic Yellow Ferrari?

I paid and got my funnel cake.

Me: Haha , yes , that's him.

El laughed.

El: Well , you could do way better. Real talk.

I laughed and placed a piece of funnel cake in my mouth.

Me: Thanks.

El: You know when they supposed to be here?

??: We just arrived.

I turned around and saw Nicky and Lexi holding hands , finger intertwined and Nicky had sunglasses on.

El: Hey Nicky.

Nicky: Hey yall.

She hugged us and stole a piece of my funnel cake.

Nicky: Where's Brandon?

Me: Long story short , he thought he could talk to me any kind of way he wanted and I slapped him and got out he tried to speed off in his Yellow Classic Ferrari and the engine stopped.

Lexi started laughing so hard while Nicky laughed because of her.

Lexi: Oh shit!

Lexis phone rang and she answered it walking off. Nicky was looking at my Funnel Cake like she wanted to have sex with it , El and Jacob were talking and I was looking at Nicky.

Me: Girl , you want more? You looking like you finna have sex with it or something.

She laughed and shook her head no.

Nicky: No no. You eat yours before I do. I'm just gonna go buy me one.

She skipped around me and Kiara went over to Lexi who was still on the phone. She looked really concentrated. I turned to El.

El: Ugh , I hate that their in a gang.

Me: Me too. I fear for our safety. Even mine and just cause I hang wit em and live with a sister who's dating the boss daughter.

??: I'm not gonna let anything Nicole and Kiara isn't gonna let anything happen to El.

I looked back and saw Lexi and Kiara standing behind us with a phone in their hands.

Kiara: Guaranteed.

Me: Oh and what about me?

Kiara smirked like she knew something.

Me: What do you know?

Kiara: Oh you know , just a friend of mine has a huge crush on you.

Seriously? Somebody likes me? Like have they seen me?

Me: Seriously?

Nicole came back stomping and eating her funnel cake.

Lexi: What's wrong with you?

Nicole: That ol dude up there talking bout some you can get your funnel cake when I get your number. Like nigga , I'm gay as fuck and my girlfriend will kick your ass.

Lexi: Do I need to?

Nicole: Nah , I got my funnel cake.

Lexi took a piece of Nicole's and ate it and Nicole glared at her.

Nicole: Go get your own. I'm hungry.

Lexi: But you just ate.

Nicole: I know.

Lexi just laughed. I saw Erik coming up.

Me: There's Erik.

Kiara: Aye! My nigga!

Her and Lexi walked to Erik.

El: Sigh. I'm gonna ride some rides. Yall coming?

Nicole: Oh hell yeah.

Me: Count me in.

El: Shit , let's go then.

We walked off and Lexi , Erik and Kiara followed.

Me: What ride first.

El: The Pirate Ship?

Me: Sounds good.

As we got in line we heard somebody tell our names. We turned around and saw Yasmine running towards us as Taziyah and Jacob followed behind walking. Yasmine crushed all of us in a hug. We laughed.

Me: Well hey to you too Yasmine.

Jacob went over to where Lexi , Erik and Kiara was.

Taziyah: Hey El.

El: Hi Taziyah.

She looked at us and rolled her eyes.

Me: Bitch who you rolling yo eyes at?

Nicky: Man , just leave her be. Obviously she mad cause Erik ain't with her bitch ass no more.

Taziyah rolled her eyes and got behind El. We paid and got on the ship. I was in between El and Nicky as Taziyah was on the inside and beside El. The bar came down and the ride started a few seconds later.

We got off laughing and cracking jokes about the conductor who was looking at Taziyah like he wanted her. Taziyah was being really quiet. Thank god.

We went back to the boys and girls.

Lexi: Where to next?

Nicky: I've always wanted to go on the Pacific Plunge.

Taziyah: The one that goes way then drops fast?

Me: Yeah.

El: Cool , let's go.

Everybody started walking.

Taziyah: Yall my feet hurt.

Kiara: Then why'd you wear heels?

Erik: You know why she wore them , to try and look cute for me or some random boy.

Taziyah: Shut the fuck up Erik!

Erik: Bitch how about you go and fuck that nigga over there. Or did you already fuck him too.

They started arguing and Nicky stood in front us and stopped us from going anywhere else.

Nicky: Hey! Shut the hell up! I'm not gonna be here with you two arguing okay! Damn Taziyah shut the fuck up! Erik don't say nothing to Taziyah so she'll shut the fuck up cause Yall is really annoying the fuck out of me!

She turned around and ran into a little girl eating ice cream. Both of them fell but the girl fell on top of Nicky and the ice cream fell onto the ground.

Nicky: Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry. Are you okay?

They got up and dusted their selves off. The little girl looked at her ice cream on the ground and started crying.

Girl: You spilt my ice cream and mommy didn't bring enough money to buy me another!

The little girl ran to who I'm guessing is her mom. Nicky walked over to them.

Nicky: I'm so sorry. Can I buy her another one?

Her mom nodded.

Girls Mom: That would be nice. Thank you.

Nicky: It was the least I could do.

Girls Mom: We got the ice cream right over there.

Nicky: Okay , we'll be back.

Nicky and the little girl walked off.
