( Lexi )

We got back in the truck and Ja'Bree was messing with everything.

Brittany got full custody of Ja'Bree and she needed me to run her to a few places to get clothes and things for him and I agreed. So here we are in the truck on our way to the mall. I feel kind of worried cause what if I'm at the mall then I see Nicky and she comes up to kiss me and then Ja'Bree most likely is gonna be like why are you kissing on her when your with mommy? Last time he saw us , we were together and I'm pretty sure he still thinks we're together.

I parked and we got out. Brittany got Ja'Bree out and he was in the middle cause one , Brittany slick as hell and two we don't need him getting lost or anything. We walked in.

Me: What store you wanna go to first?

Ja'Bree: That one!

He pointed at Kids footlocker.

Brittany: Okay , let's go.

We walked in and Ja'Bree ran over to the Jordan's.

Brittany: Are you gonna pay for his stuff?

Me: You got money.

Brittany: Fine.

I followed Brittany over to Ja'Bree.

Ja'Bree: Lexi , I like these.

Me: You want em?

Ja'Bree: Yes please.

Me: Okay.

A worker came over to us.

Worker: Are you guys finding everything alright?

Brittany: My son would like these.

Worker: Okay.

We went up to the register and Brittany paid.

Brittany: Okay. Ja'Bree , where you wanna go next?

Ja'Bree: Ice cream?

Me: DQ it is.

Brittany: Okay.

We walked to DQ and I saw Nicole looking bored as hell nodding her head yes and no while looking all over the place.

Me: I'll be right back.

Brittany: Where are you going?

Me: To my girlfriend.

I walked off and went behind Nicole. I leaned on her chair and leaned by her hair.

Me: Hey.

She grabbed my hand and twisted it and I untwisted it grabbing her hand and pulling her up.

Nicole: Lexi! Oh my gosh , thank god your here.

She hugged me making me laugh and hug her back.

Zariyah: Hey Lexi.

Nicole and I pulled away from the hug.

Me: Hey Zariyah.

The dude who was sitting beside Nicky stood up.

Dude: Hey Nicole , you wanna go get some more ice cream or something?

Nicole: No thank you , David.

Dude: Well I'm sure you wanna do something other then be with her.

I was about to say something when Nicole pressed her hand on my mouth.

Nicole: Look David , your a nice person , but you talk about your self a lot , I barely got 2 words in and I'm a lesbian and I'm dating her.

David: Oh , your a lesbian.

I moved Nicole's hand from my mouth.

Me: Yeah , you got a problem with that?

David: Yeah , lesbians make me sick.

I lightly pushed Nicole out of the way and she grabbed my hand.

Nicole: This nigga ain't even worth it.

David: Hoe shut the fuck up.

I punched him once and he fell down.

Me: Don't you ever disrespect her again if you still wanna live. Don't let me catch you in the street nigga.

He looked up wiping his bloody mouth.

David: This isn't the last time you'll see me.

Me: We can make it the last time.

I was about to pull out my gun when I saw Ja'Bree running towards me.

Ja'Bree: Lexi! Look what they gave me!

I crouched down to his level as Nicole released my hand and sat back down and glared at David.

Ja'Bree shoved a toy in my face. DQ gives out toys?

Me: Awesome!

Brittany: Lexi , can we stay at your house again?

Brittany smiled at Nicole. I was about to reply when Nicole stood up.

Me: Where are you going?

Nicole: Away from well this.

She drew a invisible circle with her hand and walked away.

Me: I'll be back Ja'Bree.

I walked after her.

Me: Nicole wait.

She kept walking and I caught up to her and wrapped my arm around her waist to stop her from going anywhere. I grabbed her hand and twirled her like a princess. She yanked her hand back.

Nicky: What Lexi.

Me: What's wrong with you?

Nicky: Lexi , I can see Brittany is doing this to get under my skin if you let her stay , I'm leaving you. This shit may sound petty as hell b-

I cut her off with a kiss.

Me: You talk to much. All you had to do was tell me to tell her no. If you don't want somebody living with me that you think will try something , tell me. Don't just walk away.

She nodded.

Lexi: I'm sorry.

We interlocked fingers.

Me: Don't be.

She stood on her tippy toes and kissed me. I put my hands on her waist and kissed her back. Nicole pulled away.

Nicole: Now go tell her she can't stay.

Me: Do I hear a please in that sentence.

Nicole: If you don't I'll roundhouse kick you.

Me: I heard those hurt , do they really?

Nicole: Wanna find out?

Me: Not really.

Nicky: Okay then. Let's go.

We walked back to the food court. I saw Zariyah dump a smoothie on somebody's head. People around started gasping.

Nicole: Ah hell.

Zariyah got up and stormed off and past us.

Nicole: I'll be back.

Me: Okay.

I went over to Brittany and Ja'Bree who was sitting at a table.

Me: Yo Brittany.

She looked up at me with teary eyes. Was that supposed to hurt my feelings?

Me: What's wrong with you?

Brittany: You don't know how it feels.

Me: How what feels?

I sat across from her.

Brittany: You don't know what it feels like to be in love with somebody for years. You don't know what it feels like for some girl that your in love with to have eyes for somebody who just barely came to California. I've know you for 3 years! You don't know how it feels! Lexi , I'm in love with you and you chose her over me!

I was wide eyed and silent.

Brittany: Yeah , you don't have anything to say. Just like I thought.

Me: Brittany , I'm sorry. I just don't feel that way about you.

Brittany: Yeah I know. When she treats you like Nina treated you , don't come to me.

She got up with Ja'Bree and started to walk off.

Me: How are you gonna get home?

Brittany: I'll have my mom come ms pick me up and no worries , I'll tell her we aren't together.

She walked off and I heavily sighed.

What the hell is going on with my life. It's like every since Nicole came to my life , people's been acting differently.
