Chapter XXXIV

OMNISCIENT

Jimin, day after day, tried finding Mina when in fact, she's just hiding inside Jooyoung and Hyorin's rented apartment. He was losing hope when a week had passed, but stayed strong. He doesn't want Mina to grow apart from him.

Mina's father already hired detectives to find her daughter. They even tried looking for her in Japan, but she can't be traced now that she threw her phone away and bought a new one.

Mina's anger is beyond hell. She found ways to get out of Korea as soon as possible and she did that in about a week. Thank God that there's still a huge amount of money inside her account or else, she won't be able to fly out of the country. She sought help from Hyorin and Jooyoung who was pretty unsure of helping her, but they did anyways. Even though she was mad of Sana, she still managed to get help from her as well. Just like the couple, she was uncertain of helping Mina.

Mina must be out of her mind now. Sana thought. She knows that she has a big fault on Mina, so she agreed in helping the young girl to pay off her debt.

Mina's plan was kept hidden. No one knows it, even Bambam. When Mina's things were being taken by Hyorin and Jooyoung the other day, he asked the couple why were they taking her things with them.

"..." They were unable to answer his question. They have a reason, but once they spill the beans, everything will fuck up. So, they decided not to bring the clothes anymore. It was a funny act, but it brought questions to Bambam's head. He knows that Mina is missing and he has a gut that Hyorin and Jooyoung knows where she could be.

After a week, Mina flew to the States without anyone knowing except for the people that helped her.

*

Everything seemed new to Mina when she landed at the JFK airport.

She hailed a cab who brought her to a hotel. She asked for help to get her things to her room as soon as she bought one for five days. Within those days, she has to rent an apartment and get a job. Even though she has enough money to feed herself and pay for her bills for a whole year, she still has to get work.

She threw herself to bed and stared at the ceiling. Her heart hurts.

Whenever she thinks of the fact that she trusted Jimin and almost fall for him, hurts her because she did not expect for the sudden turn of events. He was faking his feelings for her all along and that extremely pained Mina. It felt like every arrow was shot through her heart and left a scar.

Those cheeky yet cheesy actions were all fake. What do you expect from a douche? She sighed and curled up. Out of the blue, she again shed tears. Maybe she wasn't falling for Jimin. Maybe she already fell for him without noticing. She was just denying it. She wouldn't be that hurt if she didn't love and cared for him that much.

*

It has been two months since Mina was "gone". They looked for her and contacted every person that must know where she could be. Dr. Myoui is gradually losing hope, but Jimin did not. He wakes up every day for school and looks for Mina after classes. It may take him 24 hours to find her, but he was unbothered. He was physically tired already, but his heart is not. He will look for her even if it will take him eons. He won't stop.

It was 2 AM and he stopped by Jooyoung's apartment. He knocked on the door until Jooyoung opened. It was obvious that he woke him up from his sleep. "Hyung," Jimin spoke.

"Jimin? It's very early in the morning."

"Did you find any news about Mina?" He asked.

"No." He lied.

"Please let me in. Maybe Mina is in there--"

"She's not," Hyorin came out from behind. "Don't look for her anymore."

"Who are you to say that to me?" Jimin retorted. "You speak like you don't care about Mina, noona."

"You won't find her here," Hyorin added while Jimin kept a straight face. He's already exhausted.

"P-Please--" Jimin fell in front of them.

*

The next day, the sun was shining brightly that it hit Jimin's sleeping eyes. It caused him to wake up. He looked around him and saw a different place. He's inside Jooyoung and Hyorin's apartment. He saw Hyorin who is sweeping the floor.

"Oh, you're awake already." Hyorin noticed him after he sat on the couch. "We're sorry if we can only give you the couch to sleep in."

"Where's Mina?" He asked.

Hyorin placed the broom and dustpan aside, "Mina is not in Korea." She answered.

His eyebrows furrowed, "What do you mean not in Korea?"

"She left...about a couple of months ago." She replied.

"A couple of months ago?" He snickered sarcastically. "You should've told me!"

"And why should we tell you that?"

"We were finding her!"

"You won't find her, anyway." Hyorin is going to lie. Mina told her that if anyone would ever ask her about her, she should reply that she already passed away. "She was dead."

Jimin's world stopped, "D-Dead?"

Hyorin hummed a yes, "Yes. Dead."

"Why?"

"Car accident. She did not want any controversies, so we kept her death hidden." Hyorin watched Jimin breakdown in front of her. It's still very early yet he's already shedding tears. He doesn't know how should he take in the information that Mina is dead.

"Can you please take me to her?" Jimin pleaded. Hyorin looked at him before saying a yes.

*

Hyorin took him to a memorial garden where he can see her fake niche. Mina, Sana, Hyorin and Jooyoung already planned this beforehand. They knew that they have to keep in touch with details because everything might be investigated.

They stayed their for a few hours. Jimin was talking about a lot of things that happened lately and now that it's already Christmas season, he's longing for her even more.

"I didn't know that my life could be so empty without you," Jimin made a soft smile as he's staring at her fake niche. "I was already happy even before we haven't met each other." He said. "But I became happier when I met you."

Hyorin looked away, gulping and feeling guilty now that she witness Jimin's love for her. "We must go." Hyorin reasoned out.

"What? Why?" He asked, clueless.

"The clouds are turning grey." She told him and looked up to the sky. She looked back at Jimin and walked away from him. Jimin said his last good byes before following Hyorin.

*

"Hello, Mina!" Mina was greeted by her roommate, Tiffany. Her eyesmiles reminded her of Jimin's. "What's up?"

"Nothing." She shook her head. Even though they have been roommates for almost two months already, she still feels awkward with Tiffany.

"Well, my day is a bit rough." Tiffany said and sat beside her. "My boyfriend, Buck, just got kicked out from his renting apartment, so I'm asking you if we can let him stay here. Is that okay with you?"

"Huh?" Mina was flustered, but she just said yes anyway. She had lived with Bambam and Sorn before, so she thought that she can manage to live with Tiffany and her boyfriend.

Tiffany immediately gave her a hug, "Thanks! I'm going to call my babe right now!"

Mina watched her go while she just focused on the movie that she was watching. While watching, she received a phone call from Hyorin, so she immediately answered it.

"Hi, unnie," she greeted.

"Mina! We told Jimin that you were dead."

Mina was shocked to hear such news, but she managed to recover easily, "That's good. He won't ever find me anymore."

"Hey," Hyorin's tone changed. "I think Jimin really does love you. He wasn't faking anything when it comes to you." Mina went silent after hearing Hyorin's thoughts. "Maybe you should give him another chance."

"No."
