Kise Ryouta

A group of giggling girls ran past by me in the hallway, talking and squealing to themselves as if I didn't exist. It was the sixth time it happened today. Only two of them acknowledged the awesome Kise Ryouta's existence.

What. Is. Happening?!

Never in my life had I felt so ignored and unnoticed. It's so lonely, gloomy, and depressing! Why, it felt like Kurokocchi's misdirection was passed to me! (The pun was unintended.) So this is how he lives everyday, huh? Poor Kurokocchi~!

Sighing, I passed by the Anime Club's room since it was on my way to the basketball court. Out of habit, I scanned the room through the little window on the door for a certain white-haired girl. Don't put any meaning into it! Friends are supposed to look for each other and greet each other, right? I intended to make a casual wave and a friendly smile as I passed by.

Again, she wasn't there. My eyes met my sister's instead. She flicked a stray strand of blonde hair away from her face then made a sinister smirk specially aimed at me which never failed to make shivers run down my spine. I walked faster and pretended nothing happened. I had no idea what she's up to these days but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with me.

I soon reached the great outdoors of Kaijou High. As always, it was bustling with activity due to the fact that lots of sports-related clubs were having their practice. Of course, only a few clubs got indoor courts and the amazing basketball team's one of them! I strode my way to the court when a familiar voice called my name.

I stopped, turned around, and faced the owner only to find a girl with short brown hair styled with a yellow headband walk towards me. She was wearing a different uniform - a light blue sailor-like one. Something about her was awfully familiar. It hit me after a few seconds. The Suzumiya Haruhi cosplayer was Mashiro-chan. As planned, I waved casually and made a friendly smile. Instead of running towards her and greeting her, I just waited for her. I didn't want to look so overenthusiastic.

"On your way to your club?" she asked, looking up at me with her now golden eyes. "Let's go together!"

I nodded, grinning and accepting her offer. "Yeah! Kasamatsu-senpai might kill me if I skip practice again!" I whined. "He even bullies me when I'm late!" We started taking a leisurely walk towards the court together.

Mashiro-chan giggled. "He doesn't really seem scary to me..." she replied a little thoughtfully.

"It's because he has a multiple personality disorder," I deadpanned, attempting to look as serious as ever. "He becomes a bully type when he's on Basketball-Team-Captain Mode."

She laughed heartily in reply. "Make sure he doesn't hear that, though!" She winked at me with a knowing grin. Uwaaa~ She's so cute~! I laughed.

I then noticed that she was carrying a blue bag which seemed to be filled with CD's. I pointed to it. "What are those for?" I asked, gesturing the offer to carry it for her.

She handed the bag to me anyway then made a thankful smile. "Just a little something for your tea---"

"Kyaaa~! Keiichi-senpai's here!" a girl squealed, pulling her friend towards the court.

"He is?! OH MY GOSH! Let's go!" her friend responded and joined the squealing, pulling the girl to their destination.

I suddenly felt kind of jealous and curious of this 'Keiichi-senpai'. I mean, I remember those second years who were my fangirls! What power does he have to take my fans away from me?

"So he's already here, huh...?" I heard Mashiro-chan mutter to herself with furrowed eyebrows and a small smile. Don't tell me she's another fangirl? But then I realized she didn't leave my side and chose walking with me than going to that senpai. I didn't know why, but I suddenly felt happier than I should've been.

"You know him?" I asked, curiosity lacing my voice.

She looked at me. She seemed to think for a while then shook her head, probably dismissing an idea. Looking ahead, she answered with a forced smile, "I do, but you'll find out about him soon enough."

I liked how her words were shrouded with mystery as it only made me even more intrigued about the senior. I smirked then placed both of my palms on her shoulder. She jerked her head to my direction with a half-surprised half-confused expression on her face. I grinned at her then pushed her towards the court. Of course, I made sure our pace wasn't too fast for her to handle.

We reached the front of the gym but There was a mob of students blocking our way. Yes, students and not just girls. But I assumed at least three-fourths of the group were females.

So the senpai's inside, huh?

"How do we get in...?" Mashiro-chan said softly, her eyebrows furrowing as she watched the crowd try to squeeze through the door and see what was inside.

"Leave it to me!" I winked at her then grabbed her somewhat tinier hand, something in my chest beginning to drum real quick. I paid that thing no mind though; there were more important matters. Besides, it was probably just adrenaline.

I took a deep breath then shouted at the top of my lungs, "Excuse me! Basketball team member passing through!" The girls nearest to us turned around with surprised then starstruck eyes. They looked at each other, suppressing fangirl squeals, then made way for us little by little as they tell the others in front of them.

As a reward, I made a bright cheerful grin aimed at everyone who let us pass through, being responded by muffled 'Kyaa~'s and 'Kise-kun~!'s. I pulled Mashiro-chan by the hand as we made our way inside through the crowd. When we reached the end, the second-string senpais who were trying to control the mob exchanged glances then let us pass through.

On the further half of the court played Kasamatsu-senpai and... who? The guy has noticeable silverish white hair and was wearing a green hoodie with a white collared shirt underneath, dark denim pants, and sneakers. He's probably 'Keiichi-senpai'.

Like an agreed decision, we walked closer and watched the one-on-one game on the bleachers with my teammates. Everyone's attention was completely stuck on the two.

The ball was currently in Kasamatsu-senpai's possession with Keiichi-senpai closely guarding him. Dribbling the ball, Kasamatsu-senpai quickly stepped to the right and spun around then ran past Keiichi-senpai, performing his awesome turnaround drive that never failed to amaze me (but of course, I could copy it, much to Kasamatsu-senpai's displeasure). He ran towards the basket then threw the ball towards it. The ball was about to go into the hoop when --- EH?! Keichi-senpai's already in midair, effortlessly snatching the ball and performing a perfect landing.

Kasamatsu-senpai was fast to react. He was already on defense and in front of Keiichi-senpai who was dribbling the ball. Keiichi-senpai leapt a meter back with the ball and ran towards the other side of the half-court, Kasamatsu-senpai rapidly chasing after him. Kasamatsu-senpai was only inches away from him when Keiichi-senpai made a quick stop and quickly ran a few steps back, stopping on the three-point line and deceiving Kasamatsu-senpai.

Keiichi-senpai was going to shoot when, Kasamatsu-senpai, who just snapped out of his surprise, quickly ran towards Keiichi-senpai and jumped to intercept the ball. The ball, however, didn't go as high as expected and only went in between Kasamatsu-senpai's arms. Keiichi-senpai spun around Kasamatsu-senpai and the ball landed perfectly on Keiichi-senpai's hands. Kasamatsu-senpai then landed and was too late to stop the ball when Keiichi-senpai sent it flying really high and fell into the basket.

...Amazing.

One of the basketball club members blew the whistle, telling us that it was the end of the game. Everyone who was able to watch the game let out enthusiastic claps and cheerful cries. Even Mashiro-chan was grinning excitedly and was clapping really fast. I wasn't aware girls like her could also get excited to basketball.

My teammates immediately went to their side, cheering and greeting Keiichi-senpai. Only us first years were left on the bleachers. Keiichi-senpai seemed to be really cheerful and familiar with the higher years.

When the people around him cleared out a little, I noticed he looked at our direction. His eyes widened and his grin slowly left his lips as his mouth formed an 'o'. It was probably me who was a part of the famous, awesome, amazing, and unbeatable Generation of Miracles who caught his attention. A goofy smile suddenly emerged on his face as he extended both of his arms and --- Uwaaa! --- ran towards us in such an amazing speed!

Was he going to hug me?! What was he planning to---

Mashiro-chan shrieked and immediately left my side, running away from Keiichi-senpai with a horrified expression on her face. Keiichi-senpai chased after her, screaming, "YUUUKIIII~!"

What...?

He jumped towards a running Mashiro-chan and caught her in his arms. They fell on the floor, Keiichi-senpai squeezing the life out of her! Mashiro-chan wiggled violently, trying to get away from him. I was about to run towards her to help her when a hand grasped my shoulder, stopping me. The hand's owner was Kasamatsu-senpai who was wearing a sympathetic look on his face (aimed at my friend!) as he watched Keiichi-senpai and Mashiro-chan.

I looked at Kasamatsu-senpai and he faced me with a lopsided grin. He pointed to Keiichi-senpai. "Kise, I'd like you to meet the Court Pierrot and Kaijou's former ace, Mashiro Keiichi."

A/N: Mashiro Keiichi's in the multi-media corner.

And yeah, I tried to draw him. He's an OC, so... XD
