"Alright men." I said standing before them, "Today, we begin our siege on Thaymor. Now, Lord Hordak has called this a fortress, however from my scouting it appears to be a civilian town. Just remember men, just because the Rebellion calls us the Evil Horde, that does not mean that we are required to abide by their stereotypes. If anyone fights back, subdue them but do not kill. Anyone tries to run, stun them and take them into custody. We will make a penitentiary for the POWs one click outside to the west. Any questions?" "How many insurgents are we expecting?" Zhan Wei asked, my units primary pilot. "Unknown," I answered. "A few scores or so. Most civilians." "What weapons are we looking at?" Chio, our heavy gunner asked. "Nothing fancy." I answered, "Just spears, bows, arrows, and maybe a sword if we're lucky. Any more questions?" "Will the drones be of use?" Asked Texana, my units robotics operator. "Yes," I answered, "get them ready. Set to stun." After a moment of cheering from my men, I dismissed my unit.
As I left the room I felt the ground leave my feet and a light crushing on my ribs. I laughed knowing the one person who I allowed to grab me. "Hello Scorpia." I said, patting the clawed hand of my oldest friend. "I heard you were going out to combat." Scorpia said as she turned me around, holding me a foot off the ground, "I am." I said, swinging closer to her. "I wanted to see you off." "I'll miss you too Scorpia." I said giving her a hug before I was set down. "Stay safe." Scorpia said in a somber tone as I left her.
I made my way to tank storage to meet with the new Force Captain when I saw the last member of my unit: Sonari, a lizard-woman who used her great strength to fight in close quarters combat and is an expert mechanic. "Hey Sonari," I said as she looked at me with a smile, "how are our tanks?" Sonari answered in her usual growls but gave me a nod telling me they worked. "Good, any news on the new Force Captain?" "Why don't you ask me yourself?" A female said in an annoyed tone from behind me. As I turned around I saw a feline-esk figure with two different colored eyes. "Name's Y/n, you?" I asked. "Catra. I'm driving that tank." She answered pointing at my tank. "You can't." I said getting a set of keys. "But I like the… enthusiasm." I saw that Catra was in my units main tank ready to leave. "Zhan, drive the tank for her." I said looking at him, "Catra, you'll be the main gunner. EVERYONE! Move out. We take Thaymor for Lord Hordak!"
I made my way to my skimmer to drive out with Chio and our troopers before I was pulled aside. "Force Captain Y/n." Said Shadow Weaver, "I have a special task for you." "What is it ma'am?" I asked as my skiff was loaded, "Keep an eye on Catra," Shadow Weaver said, "She's looking for… her friend Adora." I noticed the pause in her voice. "And if I find Adora?" I asked, jumping on my skiff, "Bring her to me." Shadow Weaver answered as I gave a salute and left.
I parked my skiff one click west of Thaymor and we disembarked and began setting up the POW camp. "Be prepared, men!" I said getting on a crate, "We have a big battle ahead of us. Once this camp is set we'll rest for a bit." Before I got down, the tank that Catra rode in was driving away towards Thaymor. "Of course she'd steal it." I sighed "Sorry men. The new Force Captain is a bit impatient. Sonari, take a third of our troops to continue setup, they'll need your strength. Zhan, how long will it take Force Captain Catra to get to Thaymor?" "I'd say 10 minutes," Zhan said as he looked at the slowly moving tank. "Doesn't look like she bucked her seatbelt." "We'll take skiffs to keep up." I said jumping off my crate and grabbing my rifle, "We leave in two minutes!"
I jumped off the skiff and rolled up to a building on the edge of a cliff with a shut door. I kicked in the door and saw a woman holding two children in a corner. "Zhan, send three to my location. Pick-up." I said on my comms and kneeling down before them. "We're going to take care of you." I said as the woman spat at me. "You would leave us alone if you cared!" She said as I simply stopped the suit off my helmet. "Will do sir." Zhan said as I walked to the open window and took a roost.
I noticed a fairly tall figure roughly eight or nine foot tall in all white with a broad sword lift up a charging tank before throwing it at the building I was in without looking behind them. "Leave the building!" I shouted grabbing the woman and children before tackling them out the door. "Unhand me!" The woman shouted as she scratched at my armor. "Sir are you alright?" Zhan asked as he pulled up on a skiff. "What happened?" "A tank was THROWN into the building." I answered as the woman and children were detained. This," I said as she looked in shock at her destroyed home, "this is why I said we would take care of you. Had I not been there, you would have been killed. Zhan, keep them together. We're not the monsters the Rebellion are."
I ran back into the demolished building to try and rescue my men. I took my knife and pried open the emergency hatch of the gunners compartment. "You alright, Amaya?" I asked, seeing the gunner still buckled in her seat. "Yes sir." She responded, "Benji hasn't responded." "I'll get him." I said, crawling my way deeper into the sideways tank. I saw the massive bull-man buckled, unconscious in the driver's seat. "I got ya big guy." I said as I cut him loose and carried him out of the tank, squeezing him out before I left. "Sir, we have a Princess surrounded." One of my soldiers said over the comms, "Nevermind sir. She teleported away. It won't happen again. Sir." "Jameson right?" I asked looking at the circle of soldiers, "Don't worry, the princesses have strange powers. Just keep an eye out. Be ready to stun." "Captain!" Texana shouted, "Our bots and troops are being over- powered, what do we do?" "Retreat!" I shouted, taking shots at the figure in white that stood before Catra. "Don't throw away your lives. Texaba, send some of the training robots to stall for time, please." As I ran I picked up Benji and drug him to a skiff. "Any other injured?" I asked, looking around. "Where's Catra? Catra! Get to the rendezvous point now!" A few moments later Catta was at the camp. "What happened with the figure in white?" I asked as I looked at her, I could tell it hit her hard. "She's a princess." Catra responded, sadness hidden in her voice.
After we had made our way back to the Fright Zone Shadow Weaver was livid. "Why did you retreat?" She demanded as I gathered stretchers for my wounded. "Because there was a princess in white who threw one of our tanks with a single hand." I said with a glare, "I saw that my people were getting injured and overwhelmed. Od assume you'd want soldiers to fight another day and reclaim it later. We still got a few POWs." "Like the ones that tried to rebel inside their camp?" Shadow Weaver asked. "No, because they actually saw the issues with the Rebellion. They saw their sloppiness." I said as she walked closer to me. "Go to your barracks." She said as Scorpia walked nearby, "Force Captain Scorpia! Take this weakling to the barracks. Lord Hordak will judge him soon." "Yes sir." Scorpia said as she picked me up. "Are you going to make this easy?" "I won't resist." I said before a long 'walk' in silence.
After I was gently tossed in my room I heard the door lock from the outside. "I'm sorry I have to do this." Scorpia said as I cuddled up in my bed. "What happened out there?" "Like I said," I responded, grabbing my stuffed doll Scorpia gave me and holding it tightly, "a princess in white picked up a tank and threw it in my direction. I got the civilians out of their home and went back for Benji and Amaya." "Y/n." Scorpia said calmly as I heard her sit by my door, "Tell me everything that happened. Start from the beginning."
After I told her what happened, I heard my door unlock and open. "Y/n, you saved those people." Scorpia said as she sat next to me, "You made the right choice, once Hordak debates what you did, you'll be set free and I'll make you a brown ration cake." Scorpia then gave me a soft hug. "You would have made a great king one day." "And you would have been just as great a queen." I said as I hugged her back. "I have to go now." Scorpia said as I let her go, "Come see me when you are let out."
After a few hours of loneliness and laying in bed, I heard a loud crash come from my vent. Rolling over I saw an imp sitting in the middle of my room. "Hello, Y/n." The imp said in Hordak's voice, "I have read over what you said happened, interviewed your men, and watched the footage from your soldiers, and I have come to a decision. You are free to leave your quarters. However, you will answer to me for your missions as long as you do not disappoint. Now, leave me."
