Serena's POV:

The next day, I woke up and packed my things. I hadn't slept too well past night because I had a lot on my mind and I still do now.

Is it really worth going to Kanto? What if Ash isn't there? What if he's found someone else?

But then I also thought about Lisia too. She looked so upset yesterday and maybe I've made a mistake by refusing to date her.

But then again, even if I did try to get her back, would she be too hurt to even at the very least be friends with me?

I decided not to think about that as it hurt too much and honestly the outcome to all of this will more likely be positive.

Once I had finished packing I then left to go down to the docks. When I got down there, Lisia wasn't there, and she also didn't arrive for quite a while.

I thought she wouldn't come to say goodbye after what happened to day but after a while, she arrived, along with May.

May ran up to me to give me a hug while Lisia just slumped next to us and didn't say a word. I understand why after all that happened and how she probably didn't sleep either, but I didn't want to bring anything up in front of May and the others waiting for the ferry.

"I'm really going to miss you, Serena!" May said, "And you will too, won't you, Lisia?"

Lisia stared blankly between us for a few seconds before putting up a fake smile and nodding frantically.

I've really messed her up, haven't I?...

After a while of chatting to May, the ferry then arrived.

"Well, I guess I have to be going now," I said, looking out to the sea before turning back to my friends, "I'll miss you two!"

"We will too! Travel safely!" May replied, waving.

Lisia waved too, and it looked like she had tears in her eyes. I've never seen that before and it was really upsetting t see her that way. I wish I could change things so they weren't this way...

Once I got on board and the ferry started going away from the port, I waved goodbye one last time. Both of them waved but eventually Lisia couldn't hold it in anymore and she burst into tears, crying onto May's shoulder.

I sighed and then ran to the front of the ferry to look out to sea. I can't change the past but I can change the future, and my future is with Ash.

I can't wait to see him again... I hope things will work out between us...
