Coz This Is Thriller! Thriller Bark! Now Featuring King Kong

The walk through the fog drenched forest was... In simple term. TERRIFYING! Tani was clutching arms with shaking hands, her knees wobbling faster than a new born giraffe's legs. All she needed was the comical rattling sound effect that cartoon characters have when they're scared, and the image would be complete.

Creepy laughing, howls and groans sounded much closer than they actually were. Stupid sensitive hearing and having ears.

Luffy had attempted to recruit a bunch of zombies, namely a unicorn and an old tree. They panicked and ran for their lives at the sight of such a terrifying human. Tani didn't know if she agreed with them or not.

"Luffy, stop trying to recruit every single strange creature that passes you by," Zoro scolded. "We already have enough people to look out for," Zoro huffed. Sanji begrudgingly agreed with the swordsman.

"We already have a reindeer, a ball of moss, three goddesses, a rubber band, a mystery hero, a robot and yours truly," Sanji listed off. Franky turned to Sanji with narrowed eyes.

"Robot?! I'll have you know I'm a cyborg, cy-bor-g. That means I'm still part human," Franky corrected. Sanji huffed a laugh.

"More like part 'pain in the ass'," Sanji huffed back. Franky gave a soft chuckle.

"Yeah, but I'm this crews pain in the ass," Franky agreed.

Tani was too busy paying attention to their conversation, that she didn't notice the tree root sticking up out of the ground. Her foot hooked on it and down came Tani, she landed flat on her stomach, head planted in the dirt.

When she lifted her head, dazed eyes stared into milky white pupils. The mismatched skin and messy stitching, jaw open wide to show missing or rotting teeth.

Tani's scream ripped from her throat as she jumped up from the equally as terrified zombie. The girl scrambled backwards until her back hit a tree, while the zombie hopped up from the ground and bolted away. Luffy was instantly interested.

"Catch that zombie! I wanna make him join our crew," Luffy cheered. Pointing forward, the Cerberus he'd tamed followed the order. Running off with Luffy, Sanji and Robin on its back. Zoro, Franky and Tani being left in the dogs dust.

"Get up," Zoro commanded Tani, his voice wasn't as harsh as it normally would be. Tani was breathing heavily, she hated this island. Now she knows she was bluffing every time she claimed she would survive a horror movie situation.

"Zoro, I don't think she's feeling super! Right now." Franky commented. Pointing at the girl who was still thinking about every horror movie trope she could conceive of. Brain running a mile a minute with how much data she was gathering.

Zoro gave a sigh, sweeping down and grabbing Tani. He tossed her onto his shoulder, carrying her like a sack of rice. He could hear her muttering to herself, mentions of "virgin survivor" and "head shot, kill zombie"... She's so weird.

"I see a clearing up ahead," Franky pointed out. The men picked up their pace, entering the clearing to find Luffy and co standing around. Luffy turned to greet them with a happy grin.

"What took you guys so long?" he asked, bouncing the bug net he had on his shoulder. Zoro and Franky pointed at the girl mumbling about "garlic rings" and "silver bullets".

Luffy wandered towards Tani, she was doing that thing were she thinks too much and gets all stupid. Hasn't she learnt to stop doing that yet? Silly Tani. The straw hat captain used his free hand to grab Tani's cheek, the girl paused in her muttering to look up at him. Her eyes wide with fright, she didn't have to be scared. Why was she scared? Her crew was here, he was here.

He pulled at her cheek, stretching it out as far as he could. Tani's hand lifted to grab his pulling fingers.

"Wha ah 'ou 'ouing?" she slurred, Luffy laughed at how funny she sounded.

"I dunno what you said," he grinned. Tani narrowed her brows, and Luffy couldn't help but laugh at her again. She was making his stomach do that thing again, when it gets all weird and fluttery. Oh maybe her face reminded him of lunch! Sanji packed lunch boxes right?

"Oi Sanji, gimme my lunch box!" Luffy demanded. Letting go of Tani's cheeks, which slapped back into place. She rubbed at it with a pout, what was that idiot-

Tani tumbled to the ground, Zoro having dropped her without warning. Tani managed to gather her barings enough to kick him in the shin while he walked away. Bastard didn't even flinch.

"Luffy we're in the middle of a grave-" Sanji paused his scolding of Luffy to turn to Zoro's rough deposit of Tani. The chefs blood boiled with rage. "That's it!" Sanji shouted. Jumping off the Cerberus with his leg ablaze, already aiming for Zoro's very flammable hair.

The two were brawling in the middle of the cemetery. Tani watched with awe as they fought over her? She knew she was the subject of the matter but... She was gonna stay out of it.

"Curious," Robin said out of the blue. Her fingers gracing over the neck of Cerberus. "There's a number tattooed on him... Come to think of it, I've seen a number on every zombie so far," she recalled. Franky nodded in agreement.

"That's super! Weird. Like they're prototypes or an experiment," Franky theorised. Robin nodded in agreement.

"Perhaps the individual who stole Mr Skeletons shadow, is also behind this," she said. Tani groaned.

"So this guy is not only a shadow stealing demon, but they're also Dr Frankenstein!" Tani wanted to scream. She hadn't finished reading Frankenstein for English... What! The story was wordy and Tani doesn't like words.

Robin and Franky shared a look, they didn't know who Frankenstein was. Must be a Tani dimension thing. Tani noticed their strange looks and began to explain.

"Basically he's this doctor that wanted to create life, but like, without the-" she did hand motions because she didn't want to say *that* word. "You know. So he builds a body using dead corpses and a perfectly stormy night. He brings the body to life, and because it's so scary he abandons it and that's all I remember." she finished.

"A cautionary tale about playing the role of god," Robin concluded. Her grin growing wide, "I wonder what kind of grotesque prototype body's are roaming around as speak," she pondered. "Some more deformed and monstrous than the last," her eyes closed with glee as she let her imagination wander. Tani and Franky looked at each other with mixed feelings of disturbed and concern.

A burst sounded from the dirt, no more than 10ft away was the top half of a zombie. Moaning loudly in that zombie like way, Tani suppressed the shiver that wanted to spider it's way up her back.

Luffy looked at the zombie with a blank expression. Wandering over to it, he dropped his bug net and crouched in front of the zombie. His hands on its shoulders, he pushed the zombie back into the ground.

"There you go, all better now," Luffy said when the zombies head was back underground. The zombie was not pleased with this.

"What the hell! I'm trying to get out of the ground!" the zombie screamed, bursting from the ground to berate Luffy. The captain was staring at the zombie with a thoughtful expression.

"Oh, he's badly wounded. That's sad," Luffy concluded. Zoro and Sanji paused in their fight, turned to Luffy and shouted in unison.

"That's another zombie you dumbass!" they called out. Luffy looked excited at that.

"Zombie? Hey wanna join my crew?" Luffy asked. Earning him a kick from Sanji, and a smack from Zoro.

"Stop asking every zombie to join our crew!" they scolded. Luffy burst into laughter, Tani was already on the hunt for a weapon she could use.

Chopper had advised that she doesn't use her wrists, so yo-yo's was out of the question, as well as hand to hand combat. Though her legs were just fine to use, she didn't have the dexterity that Sanji does. So she still needed something for her hands.

She let her eyes wander, keeping her focus on finding a weapon-oh that looked good.

Tani's eyes landed upon a metal pipe, broken off to be about the size of a baseball bat. She'd played baseball before, for school. So she had a general idea on how to use it, plus it was long range enough that she wouldn't be uncomfortable to fight.

The graves around the cemetery started popping open, half rotting corpses clawing their ways out. Tani had to make a run for that pipe, or she was as good as zombie food.

She made a break for it, jumping over or kicking any heads that got in the way of her goal. Her hand grasped the pipe, it was on the thinner side. Yet she had a feeling the thing wouldn't break, no matter how hard she hits things.

Both hands on the bottom, one over the other. Yep she felt like a star player for the Yankees.

The on going fight was a pretty easy one, everyone sliced, kicked, punched, snapped and smacked the hoard of zombies that approached. Tani could feel herself growing less afraid with every head she knocked off it shoulders. Luffy managed to make his way over to Tani, they had their backs to each other.

"You're holding the pipe wrong," Luffy commented. Turning around to point out her grip. She gave him a confused look.

"This is a baseball bat hold, I know what I'm doing... Kinda," she stated. Taking a swing and knocking out a zombies leg. Luffy stretched his hands over to grab at her hold, sliding one of her hands higher up the pole.

"Ace said that this is the best way to hold a pole. Something about making your hits hurt more," Luffy explained briefly. Tani could save the questions on why Ace would know how to hold a pole, for later.

"Have any of you zombies seen the rest of my crew?" Luffy asked with a shout. "We're looking for Nami, Usopp and Chopper." he explained. Like they'd know who those guys are-

"Are they talking about the two screaming humans and their pet raccoon?" one of the zombies replied. The rest of the zombies panicked at the reveal.

"Idiot! You're not meant to say anything!" a bunch of the zombies called out. Luffy felt his gaze harden, if these guys had seen his nakama, and wouldn't tell him where they are. They were as good as dead... Again.

"Where are they? Did any of you touch them?" Luffy called out. The same zombie from before replied.

"Yeah, we scared the shit outta them. They ran screaming, funniest thing I've seen in a while," he replied. The other zombies berated him for exposing them.

It didn't take long for all the zombies that weren't face down in the dirt, to flee. Grabbing their heads and limbs, waddling or stumbling away from the beast that is the straw hat crew.

"Ok, but can you imagine being sliced to pieces and still being alive?" Tani pondered aloud. She didn't know where that thought came from, but it was a weird one. "Like some messed up puzzle blocks." she said. Wow, Robin was really rubbing off on her.

"I believe I've heard of someone with that skill set," Robin answered. "Though I'm not sure if we'll cross paths with that individual." she said with an air of mystery.

"Hey, we missed one," Sanji pointed out. An old looking man holding a lantern, stood in the mouth of the woods. Sanji was ready to pummel the "zombie" only for Luffy to stop him.

"Sanji? That's just some old, wounded guy," Luffy stated. Zoro, Sanji and Franky rolled their eyes.

"No it's a zombie you idiot," they pointed. The old man gave a wave.

"Actually, I am an old man," the guy corrected. Leaving a few baffled expressions. The old man turned to face Luffy, "You and your crew are pretty strong huh?" he stated.

"I'm gonna be the king of the pirates." Luffy declared. "I gotta be the best of the best," Luffy said with a grin. The old man seemed happy with that response.

"Could you do me a favour, a small task for a little old man?" he asked. His voice doing a wobble that wasn't there before. He was totally hamming up his act.

"What?" Luffy asked. He was always ready for an extra adventure.

"I want you to defeat the man who stole my shadow," he requested. The crew found their eyes wandering to the ground and sure enough.

No shadow to be found.

"Hey, that's the same issue that Brook has," Franky pointed out. The old man nodded.

"Many of us have fallen victim to Moria's power. Put an end to that man's madness," the old man begged. "I don't want to live my life in darkness. I want to see the sun at least one more time before I die." he said on the brink of tears. Franky was already sobbing obnoxiously, so moved with this man's plight.

"I'm not crying! You're crying!" Franky wailed. Whipping out his guitar because of course he could do that, and started playing a tune. Robin and Tani were patting him on the back.

Sanji looked at the man with sympathy, something about the mention of "seeing the sun again" seemed to strike a cord with the chef. He would do anything in his power to help as much as he could.

Zoro wasn't really paying any mind to the old man. Knowing Luffy, he'd save this guy without even trying. No Zoro was more concerned with the plethora of eyes staring at them. Nobody else paid any mind to the people watching them from the shadows of the trees. He wasn't comfortable with these strangers listening in on their conversation.

"I'll kick his ass, I was already gonna do that anyway. He stole my nakama's shadow too," Luffy said. The man nodded gratefully. Robin interjected with her own question.

"Would this happen to be Gecko Moria?" the older woman asked. The man gave her an affirmative. She turned to Luffy, "Well I'll be," she softly huffed in amusement.

"Looks like we have another warlord on our hands," she said.

"Oh? Like Crocodile?" Luffy questioned. Robin nodded. Luffy clapped his fist into his hand, an excited look on his face. "This guy must be strong." he claimed.

"He's been in the warlord program for longer than Crocodile was." Robin explained. "I've never met him, but Crocodile would often complain about his annoying laugh." Robin said with humour.

"Now I wanna kick his ass even more," Luffy grinned. Tani gave a sigh.

This was going to be one hell of an adventure.

...

Rain slowly poured from the sky, Tani flipped her cap around the right way so the brim could catch the drops aimed for her face. She was not risking a cold in this environment, she's already been a burden on the crew before. Her wrists were evidence of that.

The fog was slowly drifting as they made their way towards the large castle in the centre of the island. The pace picked up more and more, Luffy practically vibrating with excitement at the battle ahead.

If this was anything like Luffy's battle normally go, there was going to be trouble. At least one defeat, a mega power up and something exploding. Tani clutched at the pole in her hands. Luffy was right, the pole was much easier to manage.

"Look at that mast!" Luffy pointed, the large sheet of cloth was fluttering in the wind. There was another one on the other side of the island, as well as a large one in the centre-back of the island, right behind the castle.

It was something so absurd, that Tani was just ignoring it. She had other things to worry about, like how to defend herself from the vampire that would surely be hanging around, lot the werewolves that would be roaming the woods. Luffy took notice of her tense, spaced out self.

"Let's head inside, this rain is making my clothes stiff," Sanji complained. Already walking towards the sheltered area where the entrance was.

The handle was broken off, a hole in place of it. Luffy kicked the broken door off it's hinges and announced himself as there.

The room was trashed, it was very obvious that a conflict had arisen. Judging by the gun powder, electricity in the air, and the hoof marks-

"He knows the name of the master," Tani heard the whisper of voice from the wall. Her head darted towards a picture of a pig on the wall.

"Luffy..." she motioned for him to look where she was. He looked up at the pig head and laughed at how ugly it was. Tani cupped a hand over Luffy's ear, "Poke it in the eyes, I think its watching us," she whispered.

Luffy launched his hand towards the pig head, his fingers jamming into the pigs sockets.

"OW! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!" the log squealed. Tani pointed at him with a triumphant look on her face.

"I knew it! I knew we were being watched!" Tani shouted. "I'm certain that the rest of these paintings have eyes," she exclaimed. Many of the paintings began to sweat.

The sound of tearing, as the paintings came to life, the element of surprise being stolen by Tani. They a had there sights set on that girl, the master would surely find her interesting.

If they could reach her that is.

Sanji was quick to attack, his legs ablaze. He really was enjoying this leg being on fire thing, his face would take on this powerful look. He slammed a foot into one of the zombies faces.

"Where's our crew?" Sanji snarled. His foot pressing into a paintings head. Robin was happily spawning arms and twisting the bones of the creatures like they were twigs.

"The hot red head, cowardly long nose, and the raccoon?" one of the paintings asked. Franky grabbed it's head and smashed it into another ones head. Before grunting in confirmation.

Luffy was pummelling a couple of paintings without breaking a sweat, Zoro right beside him. The swordsman had this feeling, something he never expected to encounter in a place like this.

It was-

"Alright you dumb pig!" Luffy barked at the pig head portrait in his hands. Zoro snapped away from his thoughts, how careless of him. Luffy continued to send threats the pigs way. "Where are my nakama?" he demanded. The pig began to sweat (odd because pigs can't sweat).

"The-they're sleeping safe and sound upstairs," the pig lied. "We can go check-"

"Usopp would be insulted with such a weak lie," Tani huffed. Crossing her arms to look as intimidating as she could. The pipe resting upright in her arms, she felt like such a badass.

"Where are they?" Luffy repeated. Glaring daggers at the pig.

"I-I-I don't know what your-"

"Hey? Where's Sanji gone?" Franky commented. Tani instantly went on high alert, her ears listening for the sound of his bell.

She couldn't hear it? He couldn't have gone far, surely she would have heard the bell.

The pig snorted with laughter, "The master has already set his plan in motion. You and your pipsqueak crew are as good as dead," the pig threatened. Luffy ignored him and began listening in to the plan that the others were making, the plan that he would eventually destroy because Luffy doesn't do plans.

"The zombie here has no reason to tell us the truth." Robin deduced. "So we can't trust them," she concluded.

"Why don't we just use the pig as a guide?" Zoro pointed out. Tani gave him a look.

"Because he'll lie to us, take us the wrong way. Potentially leaving our crew smaller than it already is." Tani countered. Zoro crossed his arms and looked down at her with a glare.

"How do we get to Moria then? Miss bright ideas," Zoro grumbled. Tani pointed to her ears, a big grin on her face.

"These bad boys are so sensitive, they'd be crying before Franky does at the mentions of anything even remotely sob worthy." she winked. Franky took no offense to that, simply laughed. "I can probably pick up on any sounds that can be associated with our missing comrades." she said with a bit of an iffy tone.

"Probably?" Zoro smirked. "That's pretty unreliable of you," Tani looked at him with an amused smirk.

"Says the guy who can't walk in a straight line without getting lost," Tani shot back. Zoro snarled at her in that inhuman way. Luffy just laughed at them.

"She's right! Zoro would get lost." he snickered.

"Perhaps we should put this conversation in hold," Robin stated standing beside a wall opening that hasn't there before. "It appears I've found a secret passage." she pointed out passively.

"You're friends are as good as dead," the paintings all teased, "Moria is far too powerful for a bunch of low level rookies like you lot," they continued. Luffy turned to face them.

"If Moria so much as lays a finger on my nakama, I'll launch him off this island." Luffy threatened. The creatures cowered at his dead-serious tone. Luffy turned back to his crew with a more cheery expression.

"Come on, I wanna go beat up Moria." he declared, running on ahead of everyone. The crew sighed in resignation, following the captain.

Tani was still worried about Sanji. She couldn't hear his bell, and he was completely silent upon exiting the room. Sure Sanji was basically a secret agent, but he would have said something to someone if he decided to run off.

How and none of them noticed him vanish? It was all too strange.

Tani felt herself running closer to the group, a feeling in her gut screamed that the halls weren't safe.

...

"I knew I shouldn't have taken my eyes off Zoro," Tani sighed. The bastard had gotten himself lost, yet just like Sanji. She couldn't hear his bells.

When she noticed that only Franky and Robin were within her sights, she panicked.

"Where's Luffy?!" she freaked out. Looking around with wide eyes, cupping her ears to find-

She slammed into a golden suit of armour, she could have sworn that wasn't there a moment ago.

"Boo!" the armour jumped at her, Tani felt her soul leave her body. All the colour in her bronze skin, gave way for nothing but ghost white. She started falling backwards, only for the suit of armour to catch her. Snickering at her terrified reaction.

"You should stop being so scared," Luffy's voice said from within the armour. Tani blinked away her fear, the colour returning to her body. She lifted a hand to flip the face plate up, and sure enough. She was greeted with bright, dark eyes.

Tani shoved her hand into the slot and scrunched his face into her grasp. It was easy to do, since his whole face was rubber. He whined at her to let go, but she wanted some revenge for that nasty scare.

"Shouldn't we be looking for the others? It's super! Not cool to be goofing off in such a situation," Franky scolded. Luffy opened his mouth and licked Tani's hand, the girl pulling away so Luffy could answer.

"It's every man's dream to wear a cool suit of armour." Luffy states like its a fact. "There's a romance to it, like sailors being drawn to the sea, a man is drawn to really cool suits of armour." Luffy sounded so wise when saying that... It was almost out of character.

"Oh... You're super! right about that," Franky agreed. Tani looked at Robin, who was laughing behind her hand with amusement.

Tani was surrounded by idiots and enablers.

"Maybe your hardened body has removed your manly drive to wear cool suits of armour?" Luffy theorised. Franky laughed at that.

"My hardened body is like a super! Form of armour. I'm already living the romance, every day little bro," Franky gloated. Luffy was stunned at the knowledge, Franky was right!

"It appears we've arrived at some kind of round, open room," Robin points out. Her voice echoing off the walls slightly. Tani could feel the enemy swarm approaching, she'd seen enough movies-

*Slash*

A sword came careening towards Franky, luckily the cyborg was quick enough to dodge the attack. The straw hats quickly guarded themselves, looking on at their opponent.

The zombie had a spear stuck through his chest, a strange armoured look to him. Definitely a swordsman, with some form of skill. A shuffling sound caused Tani to feel a sense of panic, crawling up her back. That was a lot of zombies...

"Strong right!" Franky called out as his was launched into the speared zombies torso. Sending him flying into a wall, shattering it to bits.

There was no time for celebration, as the zombie got back up. Crackling in the bones, gross!

"Weapons left," Franky clicks his left hand open, firing round after round into the zombie. He was unfazed, lifting his limbs to prepare an attack that nobody saw coming.

"36 pound cannon!" the zombie called out, his two swords making an all too familiar motion... All he needed was a sword in his mouth and he'd be-

"Zoro?" Luffy questioned, while he jumped out of the way. The captain caught on too. "Why're you so ugly now?" Luffy laughed. His armour clanking against itself. The Zoro zombie didn't say anything, just continued to attack while a pool of zombies came swarming into the room.

Too many wore golden armour suits, Luffy would get lost in the crowd. Tani stayed close to the captain, her pipe at the ready. This was gonna be one hell of a fight.

"Zoro, answer me now!" Luffy commanded. "Why are fighting us right now?" Luffy demanded an answer.

"Scars on a man's back are shameful," the Zoro zombie drawled. As if the words didn't feel right coming from his mouth.

"But you have scars all over your body," Luffy pointed out. The zombie did a once over.

"I do..." he said, yet he didn't care. Why would he? He's not Zoro, so why is he acting like Zoro? Tani didn't get it.

"Luffy, pay attention there's more zombies coming." Tani stressed. She'd already lost sight of Franky and Robin. Though the appearance of arms crushing things made Robin's presence known.

Luffy was having trouble moving, thanks to that stupid armour he was wearing. His rubber powers were more restricted, and his vision extremely limited. Tani kept an eye on his back, her pipe managing to work as an effective weapon.

"Head for the courtyard!" Robin shouted over the swarm of zombies. That was a reasonable-

*clank*

Tani turned around to find a massive coffin shape drop between her and Luffy. The sound of a scuffle, Luffy's words were cut off. His bell jingled frantically as he was shoved into the coffin's opening on the other side.

Shit! They were kidnapping Luffy.

Tani didn't even think about it. Her brain instantly acting... And that action was.

To jump on the coffin's outside and hold on for dear life.

The coffin was thumped on, Luffy was using some body part to bash against the interior of his prison. His shouts of "Let me out!" muffled by the thick wood, and cushioning? It's a coffin after all. The top of the coffin was attached to what Tani hoped wasn't a spider web. Leading towards the roof... Oh god she already regretted this.

She didn't have time to back out though, no that would be too convenient. The coffin shot upwards, Tani's fingers gripping as tight as they could into the top of the coffin. The pipe she had was stuffed between one of her arms and the coffin, she wasn't losing this weapon.

It was once the coffin was in the roof, and it switched from a vertical position to a horizontal one. That Tani had any time to switch her brain back to "Yes let's have thoughts now" mode.

Tani didn't know where the coffin was going, nor how close they were to said destination. So she opted to try prying the coffin open.

"Let me out! Oi!" Luffy shouted, banging on the wood. Tani was trying! But this shit was super glued shut or something.

"It's OK Luffy. I'll get you out," Tani spoke with as much calm and confidence as she could. Luffy's banging stopped, "Just uh? Remain calm I guess? Shit this is really stuck," she said. Tugging on the opening of the coffin, the strain on her wrists was painful. She had to let go and nurse the tender muscles. How to hell was she going to-

*Bonk*

Tani was knocked off the coffin. She hadn't noticed that the opening for the next area was well... Coffin laying down sized. She was knocked onto her back, while Luffy went flying into the next room without her.

She recovered fast, the space she would need to pass through wasn't too small. She'd need to go through belly down but it was tall enough that she wouldn't get stuck. Tani shuffled herself through, relying on her legs and-

Oh my lord, that's one hell of a drop!

Tani had to hold back the shriek in her throat. There was enough of a rim around the space she was crawling onto, for her to use as a platform.

She could see more openings around the rim too, so those could be exits. Oh and that spot over there looked like it could be used as a way to climb down, the rope for the curtains would be perfect... Those are really big curtain ropes actually. Just how tall was this person?

Tani didn't need to wait too long for the answer. As four people entered the room, they were all normal heights. The first one Tani noticed was that creepy pervert from earlier! The lion face and blue get up. She wanted to kick him again, just for existing.

The next was a girl with bright pink twin drill pigtails, her eyes large and doll like. She floated off the ground with an umbrella, she was surrounded by a bunch of those negative ghosts! She was the one summoning those.

Lastly was a fat man in clothes that were far too inappropriate for someone of his... Everything. A purple mesh shirt, leather pants that let you see E V E R Y T H I N G, and small black out glasses. Oh and his zombie maid lady, she was pretty cute. A short blonde bob cut, orange feather scarf thing and a cocktail dress.

The four of them waited in the center of the room, surrounding the coffin turned cage, that Luffy was trapped in. Luffy's head was snapping around frantically, looking for any sign of Tani. He didn't know where she'd gone, was she caught? She better not have been. Otherwise Moria would have hell to pay.

Tani felt the platform she called sanctuary, shake under her. Her hands and feet bracing her for any more jerking movements. She turned to face the large open door, staring at the massive figure that walked through those doors.

He looked like a pear, but a Halloween pear. Vampire pear? Wow Tani was really in the mood for something with pears in it... Focus idiot! Luffy's in danger right now, and the giant spooky pear is his main threat right now.

"Ah, Straw hat. What a pleasant surprise," Spooky pear started, his voice was... So annoying. Squeaking with a pitch that should only be available to teenage boys when their voices crack, or those born with XX chromosomes.

"Who are you? You look stupid." Luffy asked, as rude as ever. Very charming. The pear stumbled at the impolite nature of his captured victim.

"I'm Gecko Moria, the captain of this ship." he claimed with pride. "Currently the holder of a bounty of $320,000,000. As well as a member of the warlord program." wow, gloating much? His bounty wasn't much higher than Luffy's own.

"You're Moria? Well then." Luffy said. Taking a deep inhale before-

"IM GONNA KICK YOUR ASS!"

There it is, that's our Luffy.

Tani couldn't keep the grin off her face as Luffy continued to spit remarks and claims at Moria. Who looked like he was growing more tired of this kids shit. Tani listened in to his villain monologue.

"We lured you and your crew here. In order to steal your shadows." Moria started. This was gonna be interesting. "You see, after your little stunt in Enies lobby. I've grown interested in your crews strength, mainly those holding your highest bounties." Tani widened her eyes at that. She had the second highest bounty on the whole crew. That was not a good thing.

"You're shadows would work perfectly for my latest army." he declared loudly. "Especially yours, Straw hat." Moria almost purred.

Luffy's cage door was opened, Luffy himself was covered in lots of webbing. The suit of armour was gone, so the whole "Slip out of the armour and kick ass" idea wasn't even a thing that could happen. Luffy was worming his way out of the cage, an aggressive look on his face.

Moria just laughed. His hand reaching down to grab Luffy... Luffy's shadow?

That's right! He grabbed the shadow under Luffy's feet. Lifting it up like a sheet of paper, the shadow defied all laws of light reflection or whatever it is. It was a solid black colour in Moria's hand. Luffy dangled underneath it, his limbs tied up. He couldn't do anything.

Tani had to watch in horror as Luffy wriggled under the hold of Moria, who had just whipped out a large pair of scissors. Tani had an idea on what was about to happen, and she didn't want to look.

Yet she had to, just to confirm that this bastard Halloween reject was about to steal-

*snip*

In one clean cut Luffy's body detached from the shadow. The boys eyes rolled into the back of his head as he dropped to the ground with a hard thunk, he was completely motionless. Except the slow rise and fall of his chest.

Tani found herself staring at the shadow of Luffy. Squirming in Moria's grasp, reaching for Luffy. Legs kicking and body leaning towards his other half.

"Hogback," Moria summoned. The mesh guy stepped forward. "Get your minions to take Straw hat and his other crew mates back to their ship." Moria instructed. It didn't take long before a crew of zombie animals carried Luffy's unconscious body out of the room.

Tani flinched when she felt someone staring at her. She instantly looked for the source, only to find nobody was staring at her... Wait no, that was?

Luffy's shadow had stopped moving, the shadow growing more docile as Luffy's body was removed from the room. Yet she couldn't help but feel as if it was staring at her. She chanced a wave, and was pleasantly to find him waving back. She was lucky that Moria hadn't noticed the shadows interactions with Tani.

She held a finger to her lips, hopefully shadows can't speak. Luffy can't lie for the life of him. The shadow gave a nod.

"Now then!" Moria grinned.

"Let's go awaken my largest warrior yet," he said with excitement in his squeaky voice.

Tani needed to see what this was, and figure out how to stop it... Hopefully she could do that... Yeah she probably couldn't but what's the harm in trying? That's right! No harm... Unless it causes more trouble than its worth.

Shh Tani stop thinking! Luffy would probably bonk you on the head for being so stupid. Oh where did Moria and his crew go?

...

Tani made her way down the curtain rope to find that a large door had been opened. A door that lead to a really cold freezer room, a cold freezer room that held a huge corpse.

Now when Tani says huge, she means huge! Like as tall as a giant. She would know, she's met giants before.

Tani was currently hiding in the same room as the giant corpse, his name was experiment 900. Not very catchy but hey, that's just how it be. She was about eye level with the giant, but just far enough away that nobody else in the room could see her unless they really looked for her.

Moria was discussing the conditions of the zombie with Hogback. Talking about medical things that made no sense to her, but she was sure Chopper would be interested and/or disgusted with the treatment of dead bodies... Was that a bell or three just now?

Tani peeked over her hiding ledge to find that, yes! It was bells. The bells of Usopp, Nami and Chopper. All of which were hiding inside a large sentient teddy bear. They were looking over at the massive zombie creature that was set to awaken soon.

She couldn't signal to them without revealing her hiding place, dammit. At least they were fine, surely they'd survive some more after this.

"Awaken my new creation!" Moria commanded, shoving Luffy's struggling shadow into the creatures chest. Tani could swear she could feel the Luffy's shadow staring at her as he was pushed into his new prison.

"Shit!" Usopp called out, his body falling from inside the teddy bear, out into the open. Followed by Nami and Chopper. The three of them exposed.

"Kumashi! How dare you not tell us about these intruders! So uncute," the pink haired girl whined. The bear tried to explain himself, but was interrupted by the creepy pervert.

"There she is! That's my bride," he claimed. Pointing at Nami, who got up off the ground and made a run for it. Usopp grabbed Chopper and followed in Nami's example. The pervert pursued them.

Tani had no time to worry about that though. No, she had bigger zombies to fry.

That zombie having opened his large eyes. The first words leaving his mouth being-

"MEAT!"

The words echoed so loud that they drowned out Tani's laughter. Moria ordered for food to be brought for the giant beast. Tani managed to quell her laughter, staring at the monster that held Luffy's shadow.

Just how much of Luffy was retained in that shadow? Did he remember his nakama? Family? Any childhood memories? It was all so fascinating, yet she didn't want to find out.

Hoards of foods came flooding into the room. The giant grabbed and shoveled the meats into his mouth. All of it being too small to even consider chewing. It was a grotesque sight.

She watched for about 10 minutes as the zombie ate and ate and ate. It was like Luffy on steroids... Let's hope nobody ever gives him steroids.

Tani paused in her thoughts. That same feeling of being watched and OH MY GOD!

Tani found herself staring into the eyes... Well the single eye of the zombie. Said eye glowing with an excitement that only spelled danger for her.

"TANI!" His voice sounded deep and cheery. The air felt all the colder.

"Who?" Moria asked. But the giant ignored him, instead opting to lift a hand up. He had to break the platform that surrounded him, but that gave Tani enough time to make a break for it.

She got up from her spot and ran, ran as fast as her legs would carry her. The sound of stone and metal breaking and bending. The echoed calling of her name from a voice that wasn't familiar, in a tone that was.

This was some twilight zone levels of insane and she didn't like it.

"TANI!" the zombie continued to call. The ledge she was running on was shaking violently. There was destruction occurring behind her, she couldn't turn back to look at the carnage.

"TANI!!!"

Just keep running! Come on just keep running! His arms can't be that long. Just make it to the exit of the freezer chamber and you'll be out Scott free-

A wall of red curled in front of her. She couldn't halt her movement in time, her body slammed into the chilled flesh wall. The wall moved around her, too large fingers caging her in to a prison that would surely result in her accidental death.

She was dragged backwards, unable to see around her because her vision was just red.

"Oars, what are you holding?" Moria asked. The giant continued to ignore him, opting to pull his palm closer and hold it tight. Tani was surprised to find that she wasn't being crushed? Was she too small to be crushed? Whatever the reason, she wasn't gonna look a gift horse in the mouth.

"Oars! I am your master. You will listen to me." Moria said with growing frustration. "What is in your hand?" he asked like a tired parent. Oars didn't like the loud pear shaped man, he wasn't nice like Tani... He didn't know why, but he liked Tani a lot. She was his favourite, next to meat, beetles and being a pirate.

He wanted to go find beetles, or become a pirate! And he was gonna do that with the little Tani he had caught.

"Oars what are you-"

Moria was interrupted when oars turned around and with his free hand, balled it into a fist and called out an attack that wasn't his.

"Gum gum pistol!" he roared. Punching into the wall that imprisoned him. He jumped out the wall, leaving Moria in the dust.

Tani had never been more uncomfortable and terrified in her life.

She had no idea how she was going to get herself out of this one.
