Chapter 33

POV Seraphina

I stood in front of the mirror, running my fingers through my hair as I slowly got ready for the evening. The light streaming softly through the window bathed the room in a warm, calming atmosphere. It felt peaceful, almost like a moment where the world outside stood still. But I knew Jasper was there. I could feel it, even though I couldn’t see him – the familiar presence that so often made me feel safe.

Suddenly, as if out of nowhere, I felt his arms gently wrap around my waist. A soft smile spread across my face as I inhaled his familiar scent in the air. He rested his head on my neck and kissed the skin at the nape of my neck. A shiver ran down my spine as I closed my eyes and lost myself in the moment. Everything around me disappeared – it was just the two of us. It was as if time itself would stop at that very moment.

Not long ago, everything between us had been so uncertain, fragile. But today, our bond felt stronger than ever. I knew that together we could overcome anything that stood in our way. In Jasper’s presence, I felt complete. Safe. Loved.

He kissed me again on the spot at my neck, and for a moment, I wanted to hold onto this moment forever. But then he broke it with a soft sigh that almost sounded like an apology. Confused, I turned to face him, searching for an explanation in his eyes.

"I’m sorry," he said, his voice calm, but somehow unsure. "I... I shouldn’t have doubted you. Because of Alex. I was jealous, even though you told me he was just a good friend. And today, I realized that."

His words made me pause. I hadn’t expected him to show himself so vulnerable. My heart tightened as I looked at him. "You don’t have to apologize," I said softly, stroking his cheek with my hand. "I understand. And to be honest... maybe I even find your jealousy a little sexy."

As soon as I said that, I noticed how the atmosphere between us suddenly changed. Jasper inhaled sharply, almost imperceptibly, as if my words had triggered a hidden tension within him. And then I saw it – something dark flashed in his eyes, something buried deep inside him. The Major was back.

His presence was like an unrelenting wave that swept everything else away. He took a step back, then pulled me toward him with a swift movement, and suddenly, I found myself pressed against the mirror.

"Sexy, huh?" His voice had grown rougher, more demanding. The sound of his words seemed to make the room around us vibrate. "You shouldn’t be so naughty, Seraphina. Otherwise, I’ll have to punish you."

A shiver ran down my spine as I saw the dangerous gleam in his eyes. It was the side of him I knew – the side that only he controlled. And in that moment, it was so powerful that it charged the air around us. The Major was present, and everything I thought and felt was dominated by this dark energy.

I felt my pulse quicken, my body reacting to the situation unfolding before me. And yet, I couldn’t turn away from it. I knew what it was – a game between control and desire, between power and seduction. And although it made me somewhat uneasy, it also fascinated me. It was the side of him I understood, but also the one that challenged me every single time.

"I know you don’t mean it all that seriously," I said quietly, my voice almost playful as I looked into his eyes with a hint of seductive courage.

Jasper closed the distance between us, his hand reaching for my chin and pulling me even closer to him. The tension between us was almost palpable, like an invisible wall surrounding us, drawing us nearer. I could feel his breath near my neck, hot and heavy, and in his gaze was a fire that captivated me.

"You’re playing with me, Seraphina," he said, and his smile was dangerous, challenging. "And that won’t go without consequences."

The air around us seemed to shimmer, the boundaries between desire and control, between lust and danger, began to blur. I could feel the urge within me to give in to this game, but I also knew it was dangerous – and that there would be consequences for both of us.

The tension rose, the room seemed to tremble, and I couldn’t help but lose myself in him. In that moment, all that mattered was the fight for control – and the hidden passion that held us both at this point.

Slowly, his cold fingertip traced over my exposed skin, making my body heat up. I stared intently into the dark eyes of the Major, who was studying me closely. "What am I going to do with you, Darlin’?" he said more to himself than to me, as his eyes fell on my cleavage, which was also exposed through my pajamas.

His eyes quickly darted back to my face when he noticed me swallowing hard. A devilishly handsome grin graced his lips, "maybe I'll just touch you," he began, while his hand began to wander. "And every time you're about to come, then..." he began his sentence and abruptly removed his hand from my body.

He began to examine me and when he noticed that I was dissatisfied with his actions and longed for his touch, a veil covered his eyes. "...then I'll just stop," he finished his sentence.

I felt the coldness of the mirror on my back, but I could hardly concentrate on it. Everything in me was focused on Jasper, or rather the Major. The tension in the air was unbearable, and I knew that every breath between us pushed the boundary further. His closeness was like a magnet that drew me deeper and deeper into his spell.

Jasper's eyes, those dark eyes that kept vacillating between control and passion, captivated me. The Major in him was there, the part that could lure me into the abyss.

"What do you want, Seraphina?" The question came quietly, almost gently, but there was an impatience in it that made my skin tingle. His words carried something impatient in them that I could hardly ignore. "Do you want me to annoy you even more? Or do you want me to finally let go of you and give you control?"

My breathing quickened as I tried to organize my thoughts. The room seemed to tighten around me, each moment more intense than the last.

"I want..." The words almost burst from my lips, but I began to falter.

Jasper's gaze bored into me, and I knew that he was reading me like an open book right then. But I didn't let that stop him, "I want you, Major."

The room was filled with an inexplicable tension as my words hung in the air, and Jasper, the Major within him, absorbed them. His gaze shifted, growing darker and more intense as he reacted to my answer. I felt my heart race, my breath quickening as he moved closer, until there was no distance left between us.

His hands, strong and sure, found their way to me, pulling me into a wild, passionate kiss that plunged us into a single moment of desire and tenderness. The warmth of his touch, the scent of his skin mingling with mine, made me almost forget where I was. In his arms, I felt both trapped and free, as if he were giving me everything I had always wanted, yet taking something from me that I would never want to get back.

"Your wish is my command," he murmured against my lips, his voice full of desire and a hint of control that made me melt.

No sooner had he spoken those words than I felt him pulling me onto the large bed. The coolness of the sheets met my skin, but it was the heat of his body that completely enveloped me, turning me into a fire that spread through me, filling me entirely. Our bodies merged into one as he pressed himself even closer to me. His hands glided over my back, drawing me nearer as if he could never feel me enough.

I responded to his kiss with an intensity that almost scared me, but he gave me no time to think about it. His lips found my neck, his touch continuing in a choreography we both had long known, yet each time it seemed even more passionate, hungrier.

His tenderness was both demanding and gentle, as if he were pulling me deeper into his spell with every kiss, every touch, leading me further into the dance of desire. It was as though we were in a dance where the world around us no longer existed.

In this moment, all that mattered was the sound of our breath, the rhythm of our movements, and the knowledge that we were in a moment of complete intimacy and trust. It was more than just a kiss, more than just a game of lust. It was the promise of a connection that was unbreakable, the knowledge that we had chosen each other fully in this moment, without restrictions, without doubt.

The room was filled with the warmth of our bodies, and I knew that this moment would stay with me forever. A moment that connected our souls, bringing us even closer. And as his lips gently pulled away from mine, I felt the sense of home he gave me, and I couldn’t help but lose myself in him.

I took a deep breath, my body still filled with the intense closeness to him, as his lips gently pulled away from my neck. I felt the pulsing of my heart in my chest as he momentarily withdrew, only to fix me with a gaze that was both demanding and tender. In his eyes flickered a spark of admiration that left me speechless.

"You’re incredible," he whispered, his voice rough yet full of tenderness. A smile played on his lips as he looked at me with a mixture of respect and desire. It was more than mere lust, more than just the desire that had brought us here. It was a moment full of depth, in which we both gave ourselves completely to each other.

I couldn’t help but look into his eyes, losing myself completely in his gaze. "You’re the only one who can bring this out in me," I said softly, my hand gently brushing over his chest as if I wanted to absorb the strength and warmth of his body into myself.

He didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he lowered his gaze to my hand gliding over his skin, and then back to me, as if he wanted to make sure he wasn’t dreaming. When he looked into my eyes again, it was as though he were reading me, as if he could see everything I felt, everything I thought.

"I never thought you’d go this far," he said softly, almost reverently. "But you’re more than I ever expected, Phina. You are... everything."

A small smile crossed my face as I absorbed his words. In that moment, I felt not just loved but understood—deeply understood. And with that knowledge came a quiet strength, a sense of security and peace that flowed through me, even in the charged atmosphere of the room.

"I’ll never get enough of you," he whispered as he drew me even closer, until I could feel his warmth completely, until the coldness of the room ceased to exist.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, feeling how our bodies enveloped each other. It was as though we could freeze time in this moment, as if it were just the two of us in a world that revolved around us. No fears, no doubts—just the feeling of completeness and belonging.

"You never have to pull away from me," I said softly, burying my hand in his hair as I pulled him closer. "You’re all I’ve ever wanted."

With these words, he gave himself to me even more, as his lips found mine again—gentle and demanding at once, as if he wanted to give me everything he hadn’t been able to give me in all the days before. In this kiss lay a silent promise, a promise that went far beyond the moment.

"I’ll never let you go," he murmured as his hands tightened around me. "No matter what happens."

In that moment, I knew that what was between us was more than just passion. It was a bond that needed no words. And so, with the sound of our breath as our only companion, we continued to lose ourselves in each other’s presence—knowing the truth that we had fully belonged to one another, in the deepest sense of the word.
