Juliet woke up with a dull headache. She found herself collapsed on the couch with a bathing robe on. Her arms and face were covered in scratches rather bruises. She could remember till getting in a fight with her boyfriend James. James has a tendency of harming and for this reason her brother doesn't like him. Even Juliet herself is tired of him but whenever she has tried he threatened her that he will end himself and this has stopped her. But last night he crossed all his limits and hit her multiple times. But before he had never directly hurt her. The problem at hand is that Juliet could not remember what happened after the fight , how she got him. Sometimes she forgets stuff but that isn't something this major. At this moment her thoughts were disrupted by the ringing of her phone. It was her brother , Max calling.

"Hey." She replied.

"Hey Jules can you come over tonight for dinner?"

"Yeah alright. Does Jessie need something? Then I'll get it."

"No but you may come early then we can have a chat."

There was a pause. Juliet had decided that she will not continue her relationship with James at any cost. She thought of giving the news to her brother.

"Umm. Max , I wanna tell you something."

"Yeah?"

"I am breaking up with James."

"Really? I am gonna celebrate this today. Bye Jules."

Max never liked James. It was genuine for him to be happy but Juliet worried that he would badly want to murder James if he got to knew about there fight. Max was the only family left to Juliet after their parents death. Her brother meant the world to her and so did she.

Juliet forced herself to get up and get something to eat. She poured herself a bowl of cereal and milk. She received a message notification. It was Max.

"BE SOON JULES."

It said. Juliet laughed to her self. Her brother was absolutely crazy. She reminisced to the time when they were kids and Max coined the name Jules for her. He was a crazy Jules Verne fan and this obsession was shown through his sister's name. Ridiculous. Juliet thought to herself. And after all this thoughts Juliet remembered about James. She needed to be done with that piece of jerk. She texted him,

"After whatever you did yesterday I am done with you James don't even dare to disturb me again."

Now she needed to get ready for dinner at Max's. She brought out a mustard coloured sundress which Jessie had gifted her. Jessie is Max's girlfriend. When they started dating Juliet thought that her and Max's relationship should hampered but Jessie was a totally different story. She was as crazy as Max and Juliet and they got on very well. Max remained Juliet's best friend. But James kept her too preoccupied to have some time left for her family.

After everything was done she put on a lot more of concealer than required to hide the scars from them especially Max.

After reaching Max and Jessie's apartment she rang the bell. After a wait of few minutes a blue eyed man opened the door. From his appearance it looked as if he was laughing heartily at something. He looked at Juliet questioningly.

"Is Max or Jessie there? I am Juliet." She said introducing herself.

"Oh you are his sister come in. I...I am Harry." The stranger replied.
