A new morning .

A new day .

A new start .

A new life , with each other.

The sun rose up peeping through the glass window to reach and hit on his face directly . He shrinked his eyes without opening it when  he felt the bright light falling upon his face . Just when he was about to turn the other side , the weight on his extended arm made him realize.

He's not the only one on this bed , his baby is here with him !  He opened his eyes to get the most pleasing sight .

Her backless red blouse revealed the clear view of her white skin as she was actually lying on his arm , backfacing him , while his other arm was wound around her waist cocooning her within him.

There appeared a pleasant smile on his face .

Mornings like these , treasures .

In that case , he's going to feel these treasures everyday now . Slowly moving towards her , he planted a smooth kiss on her temple while she leastly reacted to this action . All she did was , to remain in her deep sleep even when he pulled out his arm gently with atmost care fearing that she might get disturbed.

When she turned around finding a good spot for her head on the pillow on not feeling the comfort on  which she lied a few seconds back , he took a few seconds to stay just there , admiring his girl.

A complete bundle of beauty she looked . With only the nuptial chain which fenced around her neck like a shaggy twirled thing and those small ring type hoop fixed through  her second pierce were the mere ornaments touching her skin right now .

She looked a more like his own possession now , making him drown with feels of heaven . Once again he bent close to leave a kiss on her forehead just above the light red patch near her hairline.

It was nearly half past 10 when she sat up stretching her arms in air and yawned widely  . Squeezing her eyes with her palm , she called out .

A- Resh , resh ...

S- sorry annika , Reshma di is not here rather your shivaay's here with you. I hope that's fine?

She heard his voice from aside . He was standing by the side of the bed , watching her with his brows up. She blinked hard and widened her eyes realizing everything.

A- I totally forgot ! We got married yesterday right ?! It's fine , I'll manage with my husband .

She let a cheeky smile while he had already pressed his palms on the bed to lean upon and dashed  her forehead with his lightly.

S - you must !

Soon her sight fell on the clock and she stood up immediately , jumping off the bed .

A- oh my God ! Itni late ! Shivaay you could have woke me up right ?

S- relax annika , have any program today ? But I thought you have taken off for two days .

He spoke as he marched to stand infront of the mirror and carried on with the comb while she had a defeated face .

A- shivaay it's my first day here , I

S- seriously baby? You've been here for so many months !

Came his reply immediately.

A- that's different , what will daadi think of me if I behave a sleep sack on the very first day after our wedding ? Aapko pata hai , I had even learned some recipes from Resh to do good in that...some cooking rasm ,I guess I forgot the actual name but

Before she could continue , he turned facing her and placed his finger on her lips that she just stays quite and stares at him with that innocent eyes of her's.

S- not a big deal. If you want to impress me with your cooking skills , there's ample time for that baby . Mein tho yahin hoon , hamesha tumhare saath.

She narrowed her eyes watching his blink and pushed his hand away from her lips .

A- who was even talking about you? Aap tho already impress hogayi aur shaadi bhi hogayi na hamari !

She smirked .

S- that's so mean .

A- ek minute  , I have taken leave for two days but look at you being all dressed up for work already . Don't tell me you're going to leave !

Passing a daring look she stated watching him from top to bottom while he pressed his lips to a line and sighed.

S- I'm sorry baby , I am .

The second he held her hands ,she jolted it lightly and shrugged stepping back  .

A- chodiye ,

S- annika just a few hours please , then I'll be back I promise . I didn't actually plan this but samjo na ? It's a last minute emergency.

She kept pushing his arms away  which he tried circling around her neck but at one point he succeeded when she didn't oppose . Still , he could witness that upset face of her's.  She kept looking at everything but him for he had to chin her up to face him.

S- just a few hours . And the remaining day is totally booked for my wife , aur haan ek surprise bi hai tumhare liye !

A- surprise ?

He admired the way her reactions changed hearing the word surprise .

S- hmm !

A- what's that?

S- baby  , surprise ka meaning pata haina ? 

A- fine , excuse accepted .

She mentioned this with that strict reaction residing on her face yet when he  spoke immediately.

S - I've cracked the secret !

A- what ?

S- first you were angry but when I mentioned about the surprise , you're fine with me leaving for work now . I've learned a technique to handle my angry wife  , wah!

When he just smirked raising his collar, there came a smack landing on his head soon.

A- you shouldn't reveal about realizing these secrets and techniques to me , then maybe it won't work the next time. Budhu!

He watched as she stood crushing his collar within her fist.

S - no problem.

Confused ,she looked when he shrugged lightly ,but soon she let a soft gasp when his arms on her shoulders swung down to trace her bare waist below the blouse  for she could feel  every inch of his palm on her skin .

A- shivaay

Blushing high , she blinked a few times before looking at the sweet smile which he had put up on his face .

S- I know a hundred more secrets and techniques which could help me baby!

He whispered leaning close to her lips that she could actually feel his breath over there .  She smiled shyly to that clear smirk on his face  before brushing her nose on his .

Annika decided to visit Reshma when she got to know that Shalini was feeling sick since last night .

R- I don't know what happened , she just denied to eat anything during dinner and I thought maybe she was tired . But now , she really seems quite ill and weak .

A- What did the Doctor say ?

Annika enquired , taking her seat on the bed ,beside an asleep shalini .

R- nothing serious , she just prescribed some tablets for fever.

Just then both heard a fast knock on the door which baffled them .

They stood shocked on witnessing the person  by the door.

It was Tej .

He wandered his eyes around the place as if he searched for someone while the other two still were bewildered. But soon annika pulled herself back and reacted .

A- andhar aayiye .

As he sat on the sofa which centered the hall ,he genuinely smiled noticing annika who looked a complete married woman .

T- congratulations annika .

Annika took a few seconds to get him , she  nodded quietly and smiled back .

A- aa aap kaise hai ?

T- I'm fine . Vo kya haina , it has been so many days and I've never been practised to live without talking to shalu maa before.  I even don't know how I managed all these days  . Please , ek baar usse dekna chahtha hoon .

Saying this he quietly gulped the glass of water which Reshma just poured for him while annika looked at him in admiration . However worse he might have been in the past  , he was never a bad father to Shalini then and even now. His true affection  for her was clearly visible in his yearning eyes . 

A- uhh, I'm not sure of how she'll react now because she had never spoken about you after everything. I guess she's still angry and upset with you ,

T- I know that , shalu maa won't ever forgive me . It's ok if she wants to shout at me but please I want to meet her once , please .

Both the girls had no heart to deny this man , just when annika was about to speak , Reshma did .

R- she's in that room , asleep still . Jaake dekiye  .

Delaying not a second more Tej walked straight to the room which Reshma pointed. 

His eyes were already moistened watching his little girl after so many days . The only reason for his happiness is shalini . He had always seen to that ,all the cruelty in him never bridges to affect their relationship but alas , everything turned up . He felt devastated .

Annika and Reshma stood by the room door as they watched him admiring his daughter silently.

He had never thought of the fact that she isn't his actual daughter rather his brother's . So after anything,  at the end of the day his love for her was certainly very pure .

Days when she used to run after school just to jump up and settle in his arms , he  teared up reminiscing everything. And his trail of thoughts were broken when he heard annika's voice. 

A- only if things were a little better , you would have been leading a contented life with three daughters now .

He literally froze hearing her words and delayed a few seconds to turn back facing her . He looked surprised at the smiling figure of Reshma and Annika .

Yes , annika knew that he's a good man . A good father , that's why she mentioned this .

After loosing his wife and the little life which resided in her womb together, all he did was stealing another small life to cope up with the void . A yearning heart gave him the courage to do that . Being a person doing an illegal job , he never left shalini suffer in the wrong way . He gave her everything from good education , plenty love , to a genuine character . However good charu is today , he has a major credit for that .

Annika knows it and whatever she had muttered now was from the bottom of her heart. Indeed , without a parental figure in life she remembered how difficult was it for her and Resh to come up . If only she had got such a fatherly man beside , her life would have been even more of wonders. After watching his care and endless love for shalini ,she somewhere started feeling jealous that she had already  forgotten every worst thing  which he had done for her in the past.

The same point hit him hard , how monstrous had he behaved with her . He had literally tried to kill her and she's actually referring him as her father now . He cringed feeling guilty of his own deeds . Indeed as she said , if only... and he would have been blessed with three daughters now . He cried .

A - I'm sorry , aap ro kyun rahe hain  ? Mein

He held her hands infront of his face and shook his head stopping her by the middle while she watched him in worry .

T- I don't deserve this, I don't!

He continued crying when annika slowly pulled out from his hold and tried rubbing his shoulder.

A- aap please royiye mat , I,  I'll speak to shalini and she'll be convinced.  Mein usse baath karthi hoon , give me some time.

He smiled gratefully as he somewhere grabbed a strength from her assurance.

T- mein chaltha hoon annika .

R - par where ? I mean , aap yahan bhi reh sakthe hain . Ham shalini se ,

T- I guess there some more time left for that day to come.

Saying this he walked to the main door but before stepping out he came back again, to them . 

A- kuch bool gaye?

T- I have failed shalini in the past but I wouldn't want to repeat it again. Sirf uski kushi ke liye jiyoongi mein ab , isliye , I need your help .

A- matlab ?

She questioned at once when he finished.

T- as  a father it's my duty to look after her and fulfill her wishes . She once told me about a guy , a person whom she loves . Please find him , it's a request . I want her to be happy . Will you do that for me annika ?

Annika and Reshma were equally thrilled listening to his claim as they knew who the actually man he's referring to . She could hardly give any answer now  , she stood numb when he himslef spoke .

T- I know you would ,  I trust you .

With a good smile on his face , he walked out from there leaving the other two in dilemma.

That's when annika realized something.

She hadn't even thought of her sister before preparing herself for a new start . Wasn't she responsible for shalini ?

True that , there's no way she would have  sacrificed shivaay for shalini. That's totally out of the topic but she had leastly thought of  next step in shalini's life and taken a decision for herself already  .

Until this moment she hadn't got a single thought of this , was she that selfish ?

She felt guilty .
