As the sun was beginning to set, Black Adam waited for Shazam to arrive. Luz attempted to find a way out, but was unable to. With the sun down and Shazam nowhere to be seen, Black Adam directed his gaze onto Luz. 

Black Adam: It seems the Wizard's champion doesn't care about you. 

Luz: Oh he's coming. Coming to kick your sorry butt!

???: Black Adam!

As the voice called out, Black Adam and Luz turned their attention to see Shazam approaching the throne. As Shazam approached Black Adam, the two glared at each other. 

Shazam: I'm here, Adam. Now let her go. 

Black Adam: Do you have the Tablet?

As Black Adam says this, Shazam presents the Tablet of the Titan and hands it to Black Adam. For a moment, there was an uneasy silence as Black Adam gazes upon the Tablet. 

Shazam: You have what you want, Adam. Now let her go!

Black Adam: When you crush an ant beneath your foot, do feel remorse? No. Is this because you are evil or because you recognize yourself as a higher form of life? This is what the Wizard could not understand. If I have the powers of the gods, then I am not a god myself? Should I not be treated as such?

Shazam: I won't ask you again! Let her go! Now!

As Shazam said that, Black Adam frees Luz. Luz then runs to Shazam. 

Luz: Billy....

Shazam: Let's get out of here, Luz. 

Luz: But what about.....

Shazam: Don't worry. I got this. 

As Shazam and Luz began walking away, Black Adam inspects the tablet. He was quick to notice the lack of a magical presence from within the object. Black Adam then applies pressure to the Tablet. When he does so, the Tablet breaks apart into Abomination goo. In that moment, Black Adam had been tricked. Without warning, Black Adam charges at Shazam and attacks him. 

Black Adam: You will pay for this treachery!

In that moment, a battle broke out between Shazam and Black Adam. The two titans clashed in a battle that shook the entire palace. As they clashed, Luz prepared some Glyphs. 

Black Adam: I will spit on your tomb!

Shazam: If you really thought that I'd give you the Tablet....

Black Adam: You have made a fatal error, boy. 

As Black Adam was about to attack Shazam, Luz draws a Fire Glyph which conjures a fireball which attacks Black Adam. This attack directs Black Adam's attention to Luz. As Luz was about to draw another Fire Glyph, Black Adam charges at Luz and grabs her by the throat. 

Black Adam: I have had enough of these games! Where is the Tablet, boy?! Tell me or I shall kill this girl!

Shazam: If you hurt her....

Black Adam: I gave you an ultimatum, boy. The Tablet for the girl's life. You have failed to provide me the Tablet. I've underestimated you for the last time. 

Just as Black Adam was about to kill Luz, Luz slams a Light Glyph on Black Adam's face. The Glyph generates a bright light which stuns Black Adam. This gives Shazam the opportunity to attack Black Adam, freeing Luz. As the battle between Shazam and Black Adam continues, Luz prepares some more Glyphs when Eda and the others approached Luz. 

Luz: Eda! 

Eda: Thought you could use a hand! 

Amity: Are you okay?!

Luz: I'm okay, but Billy....

As Luz said this, Shazam continued to battle against Black Adam. As the fight dragged on, Shazam quickly noticed that his arch nemesis was considerably stronger than before. 

Shazam: What the....

Black Adam: You have felt it, haven't you, boy? Before, you were my equal. But this place has gifted me with more power than I thought possible! The fool Belos would use this power for petty gain. Now I am stronger than ever before! 

Shazam: Still gonna kick your sorry butt!

The battle continued as Shazam and Black Adam battled against one another. Soon enough, Luz along with her friends joined Shazam's side. Black Adam shows no concern as Shazam's friends confronted Black Adam. 

Shazam: It's over, Black Adam! 

Black Adam: You think this little rabble stands a chance against me? 

Eda: You're on our home turf, buddy! 

King: You will kneel before the Demon King!

As Luz and her friends prepared for battle, Shazam stepped forward. 

Black Adam: You are nothing more than ants to me. Ants in the presence of a God. But I can be a benevolent deity. Bow before me and I shall be merciful. 

Willow: We don't care who you are! You're just a big bully! And we don't like bullies!

Gus: You tell him, Willow!

At this point, Shazam and his allies cornered Black Adam. Despite being outnumbered, Black Adam showed no concern. 

Shazam: Listen up, Adam! This ends now! 

Black Adam: I agree. I will find the Tablet even if I have to kill every last one of you to get it! 

In that moment, Shazam and his friends prepared for battle. Shazam knew that even with his friends by his side, this fight wouldn't be easy. Black Adam's power had been amplified. Despite this, Shazam couldn't back down now. If he siphoned the magic of the Boiling Isles, Black Adam would be nearly unstoppable. In the face of these seemingly impossible odds, Shazam smirked to his friends. 

Shazam: Let's do this!

With that, Luz and the others rallied around Shazam. In that moment, Shazam and his friends prepared to fight Black Adam in the halls of Emperor Belos's palace.
