I see him. Hes fine. I look down at my feet.

1....tap....2 tap...3 tap.

Hes fine. I look around the room.
The dim lights.
The gadjets around the room.
The sound of the heart monitor going off.
The tile floor....thats probably cold.
The uncomfortable chairs.
The tv hanging on the roof.
John sitting across from me.
Alyssa chatting with Ian.
Ian. Ian on the stiff hospital bed.

  I look at my fingers once again.

Takes off ring...Puts ring back. Takes off ring...back on.

I look back up again. Ian looking at me. I look back at him.

"Shawn....Whats the matter?" He asks.

Im not sure. "Nothing" i smile back at him.

"After Ian gets better. We should go to an amusement park they have here. It will be fun." John picthes in.

"Yes!" Alyssa yells.

"Shhhh" we hear from the other room next to us.

We all laugh.

"Oops" she says. Slightly embarrassed. I smile. John keeps a straight face...but then cracks a smile. Ian...well...hes been smilling.

"That was funny" i say still laughing.

"Im hungry" i admit.

"Same" Alyssa agrees.

"Your always hungry" john tells her. Which makes us all laugh.

"Want to go get a snack from downstairs?" I ask Alyssa. Her smile grows wide.

That sweet smile of hers.

"Yes" she tells me. She stands up and grabs her purse.

"Lets go" she says walking out of the door.

As were walking down the almost scary halls....Me and Alyssa were just quiet.

   We didnt talk. There wasnt anything to talk about.

The silence was overwhelming me. It was too scary for me. It was like building up, slowly.

I needed to say something. I couldnt really though. I didnt know what to say.

This usually never happens. Why cant i talk to her?

I look around the halls. The only sounds echoing through the halls were our shoes going against the floor.

The lights are more bright in the halls. Which is irritating my eyes a bit. I look at alyssa who is simply walking. Yet, looking so good.

We finnaly reach the snack bar. I take out some money. Enough for the both of us.

"H-here here is some money" i say handing the 5 dollers to her. My hands shaking during my action. She looks at me. Eyes lock and smiles.

"Thanks" she tells me.

I look around. All the different snacks on shacks. The different colors circling around. The lights shinning. The glass doors seperating us from the halls.

I go torwards the chocolate section. I grab a hershey. I look up and go to the pay counter. Alyssa comes behind me.

I simply put the bar on the counter. Alyssa puts some sour kids on the counter too.

"4 dollers"

Alyssa gives the guy the money and leaves. I quickly follow her.

As soon as i leave the door....I see Alyssa just a couple feet infront of me.

"Its so dead in here" She turns back at me.

I look at her and nod.

"Its a scary queit" I respond to statement.

I look to my left. Chairs lined up.

"Whats up with you?" I hear. Whats up with me?

"I-i im not sure" i admit. 

"Well. What are you thinking about?" She asks me.

"I-i dont know. Im just off" i take my hand to my hair. I look at alyssa. She looks back at me.
