I've been married to the singer and songwriter Shawn Mendes for two months. I'm so beyond in love with Shawn and I'm so glad that I get to spend the rest of my life with him. Tonight, Shawn and I are going to the first awards show that we've been to as husband and wife. I'm really excited.

"So how was the wedding? From the pictures online, it looked absolutely amazing and beautiful." One of the stylists, Julie, asked and said. I smiled as I played with the beautiful wedding ring that Shawn had slipped on my finger not too long ago.

"Oh it was wonderful. Shawn and I always say that it was so magical. Ed Sheeran got up on stage and sang Thinking Out Loud for our first dance. I was so nervous and worried that Shawn wasn't going to like my wedding dress, but he actually cried when he saw me in my dress. I picked out his tie too and I got him a tie clip as well. The tie clip had our wedding date engraved on it." I said.

"That's beautiful. I'm sure that he loved it." She said.

"Yeah, his sister Aaliyah brought him the tie and tie clip and videotaped his reaction and he was smiling and he said that he loved it. He knew that I was going to pick out his tie, but he didn't know about the tie clip." I said. Julie nodded and she finished helping me get ready. I was in a purple, strapless, lace, long dress. I walked into the other room, where Shawn was standing with his back to me. I didn't have my heels on yet and Shawn hadn't heard me yet.

"I wonder how Y/n looks. Forget I ever said that, she always looks gorgeous." Shawn said. I stopped walking and put my finger lips when I made eye contact with Andrew Gertler, Shawn's manager.

"What color do you think she's going to wear?" Andrew asked.

"I don't know but she looks gorgeous in anything. Can you believe it man?" Shawn asked and I could tell that he was smiling.

"Believe what?" Andrew asked.

"That I'm married. Can you believe that I'm married?" Shawn asked. Andrew smirked.

"No, I can't believe that someone decided to put up with you for the rest of their life." Andrew said and I bursted out laughing. Shawn turned around and his eyes widened. He smirked at me and then walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist as I wrapped my arms around his shoulders.

"What are you laughing at gorgeous?" Shawn asked.

"I'm laughing at what Andrew said. That was funny." I said. Shawn pinched my butt and I squealed and laughed.

"Shawn what did you just do to the poor girl?" Andrew asked.

"I pinched her beautiful butt. Why are you calling my wife a poor girl?" Shawn asked as he wrapped an arm around my waist. I rested my hand on his back and rubbed.

"Because she has to be married to you for the rest of your lives together. You can be annoying at times." Andrew said. Shawn frowned.

"How can I be annoying?" Shawn asked.

"Because you never stop talking about Y/n. Ever since you met her you've been talking about her." Andrew said.

"Well I'm in love with my wife so I love talking about her." Shawn said. I turned to him and pulled him in for a hug. He hugged back.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you too." He said

"Do you like the dress? Do I look okay?" I asked. Shawn pulled away and smiled and nodded as he eyed me up and down.

"You look so gorgeous babe. I love this color on you honey." He said. I smiled and blushed.

"Thank you. I'm loving this gray suit." I said as I straightened it a little bit for him. I could feel his eyes studying my face.

"Out of all of the suits I've ever worn, which one was your favorite?" Shawn asked. I smiled as I remembered our wedding day.

"The suit that you wore on our wedding day." I said as I looked up at him. His smile widened and he pulled me in for a hug.

"Okay you lovebirds, it's time for us to get going." Andrew said. We nodded and Shawn held my hands to help me keep my balance as I got into my heels. I then slipped my hand into Shawn's. As our hands touched, I felt electricity spark through me yet I felt safe and warm at the same time. Shawn helped me into the car that would take us to the venue of the awards show.

"Does my hair and makeup look okay babe?" I asked as I turned to Shawn a bit more. He nodded.

"You look perfect honey. Thank you for never wearing a lot of makeup. You look the most beautiful when you're not wearing any makeup at all darling." He said. I blushed again.

"You're very good at making my blush." I said as I put my hand on his knee and rubbed. He smiled.

"You're so cute when you blush." Shawn said. We soon arrived at the red carpet and Shawn stepped out first before helping me out. We walked the red carpet a little bit before being called over by an interviewer.

"Julia Hoffman here from E! News here with the newly wedded Shawn and Y/n Mendes! How are you guys?" She asked. We smiled at each other and then at her.

"We're good. We're having fun." Shawn said.

"Great. Well congratulations on getting married!" She said.

"Thank you." Shawn and I said.

"How long have you guys been married for now?" Julia asked. Shawn and I smiled at each other as he kept his arm securely around my waist.

"Two amazing months. It's crazy because obviously I was already so in love with her and now that we're married, it's like I'm even more in love with her." Shawn said and I blushed and smiled.

"I feel the same way!" I said and Julia and Shawn laughed.

"So I saw pictures online of the wedding, and it was so beautiful, but I'm curious, what are things that took place at your wedding that people might not know about?" Julia asked. I instantly knew what to say.

"I picked out his tie." I said.

"Really?" Julia asked. I nodded.

"Yeah. When we were engaged, I told him that when he goes to get his suit, don't pick out his tie because I had found one on Pinterest that was perfect. I even got his dad's opinion on the tie and Manny said that he would love it. I also surprised him by getting a tie clip that has our wedding date engraved in it." I said.

"Obviously Y/n and I couldn't see each other before the wedding because it's bad luck, but my sister did videotape my reaction to seeing the tie and the clip and a little note that Y/n had written for me. Something else that people may not know, and there's photographic evidence of this, but I was dancing with Y/n at our reception at one point and then Jimmy Fallon cut in and started to dance with her." Shawn said with a laugh and I nodded.

"That's too funny. You guys look amazing by the way!" Julia said.

"Doesn't my amazing wife look absolutely gorgeous? I love this dress and this color on her." Shawn asked and said as he stepped away from me a little bit to look at the dress.

"She does look gorgeous. Out of all of the dresses that you've seen her wear, which one is your favorite?" Julia asked. Shawn didn't hesitate at all as his smile widened.

"Her wedding dress. I remember that when we first got engaged, we agreed that we would both have input on everything for the wedding, but that I wouldn't have input on the wedding dress because I didn't want to know about it until I saw her walk down the aisle. I remember her being on tour with me the summer after we got engaged and she was telling me about the different types of dresses and she asked which one I would want to see her in and I said 'Whichever one makes you the happiest.' and she didn't quite like that answer but I truly loved her dress." Shawn said and I smiled.

"Well that's wonderful. Have fun tonight guys!" Julia said. We thanked her and walked on the carpet a bit more before being called over by another interviewer.

"Hello there Mr. and Mrs. Mendes. Congratulations on getting married!" He said.

"Thank you." We said.

"So, Shawn, how does it feel to have such a gorgeous woman by your side?" The male interviewer asked. I looked at Shawn and could tell that he was jealous because his grip on my waist tightened a little.

"I feel like I'm the luckiest man alive, probably because I am. Whenever fans come up to me and say that Y/n's beautiful, I always point out that my wife is more than just her looks. Yes she's gorgeous and beautiful and stunning, but she also has a heart of gold, and she's really smart as well. She's amazing in every possible way." Shawn said. I smiled before resting my head on his chest for a moment.

"That's so beautiful. Y/n, how does it feel to have a man that treats you the way that Shawn does?" The interviewer asked me.

"Oh it feels wonderful. Shawn's the most amazing man ever and he treats me like I'm a queen or something. He loves to spoil me, and yes I do love the gifts, but if all he spoiled me with for the rest of our lives were his love for me and his affection, I would still be just as happy." I said. Shawn kissed the side of my head.

"That's beautiful. So I know that you guys just got married two months ago, but any plans for babies in the near future?" He asked. I looked up at Shawn.

"Well, we want to be married for a year before we start trying to have kids." Shawn said. The interviewer nodded.

"Shawn, you recently made the announcement that you would be taking a break from music for about six or seven years so you can focus on married life, and your future kids. How hard was that decision?" The interviewer asked. Shawn sighed and I rubbed his back a little.

"It was the hardest decision of my life. Obviously I love music, but I also love my wife, and I don't want to be on tour and then get a phone call from Y/n saying that our child has just said our first word while I'm away." Shawn said.

"Understandable. So what's the easiest decision that you've ever made?" The interviewer asked. Shawn smiled and looked at me.

"Marrying this amazing girl." Shawn said and I smiled back at him.

"That's beautiful. Well enjoy the rest of the night you two lovebirds!" He said. We thanked him and were soon brought to our seats. Shawn held my hand and rubbed it with his thumb as we sat next to each other. I looked at him and when I squeezed his hand, he looked at me.

"You okay love?" Shawn asked. I nodded and smiled.

"Yeah. I just wanted to tell you that I really love you and I really adore you. You're my best friend and my everything and I would do anything for you." I said. Shawn smiled at me and put his lips on mine. I felt my heart race as if I had just run a marathon, I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my tummy, and I felt sparks shoot through me like fireworks. Soon, Shawn and I pulled away from the kiss and smiled at each other. I love Shawn so much.
