78. Date Night

Shawn's point of view

I walked into my question and answer session and smiled at my fans. I just got off the phone with my amazing wife of eight years, and partner in love for twelve years, Y/n Mendes. I sat down.

"So guys, just like always, if someone is asking a question, please don't talk while they're asking a question, and if you need me to repeat a question, I will. Okay, what's your question?" I asked as I picked someone.

"Who was the last person that you texted or called?" She asked.

"My wife was the last person that I texted, and she was also the last person that I called. I miss her and our three beautiful kids so much. Okay, what's your question?" I asked.

"What's your favorite memory with your wife?" He asked. I thought for a moment.

"Oh gosh. That's a hard question because we've been married for eight years, but we've been together for twelve years. Um, probably either our wedding day, or the day that our kids were born. I don't know. That's a good question. I have so many amazing memories with my amazing wife." I said before choosing someone else.

"So I know that the Kardashian sisters are all K's, like, Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe, and two out of your three kids have names that start with a J, so I was just wondering, why doesn't Rose's name start with a J?" She asked. I chuckled a little.

"Well, my wife's great-great aunt Rose lived to be 102 years old, and when she was alive, she was the epitome of class and elegance and grace. Y/n and I wanted to name our daughter Rose after Y/n's aunt because hopefully that long life and class and elegance and grace will rub off onto our Rose." I said. I was about to choose someone else when my phone vibrated. I looked, and it was Y/n. "Do you guys mind if I answer this? Y/n knows that I'm in a q and a, so I just want to make sure that everything is okay."

"No, that's fine." My fans said. I answered.

"Hey darling." I said.

"Hi, um, sorry to call during a q and a -" She started and I could tell that she was crying.

"No, it's fine honey. Why are you crying?" I asked.

"I just... you know how we're supposed to do date night at some point soon after you get home?" She asked. I nodded even though she couldn't see me.

"Yeah." I said, hoping that she wouldn't cancel date night.

"And you know how I went with Grace to the store to get a dress for date night?" She asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"Well, I mean, Grace said that you're going to love it. She said that when you see me in the dress, it's going to have you on your knees, begging, and jealous even if a guy is just walking by, and I just... I don't know. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have called." She said.

"No, baby, what's going on in your head? I don't have you on speaker so the fans can't hear you, so tell me what's going on in my beautiful wife's beautiful head?" I asked. She sighed and I could tell that she was still crying.

"Shawn, you're not just my husband. You're my best friend and my everything. I know that Grace is saying that this dress is going to make you flip in the best way possible, but I just, I want to look good for you, you know? I want to look as good as I can for you and I want you to love the dress. I just want to make you happy. I mean, we've been together for almost twelve years and they've been the best twelve years of my life. I just want to make you happy and I want you to think that I'm beautiful." She said. My heart broke.

"Oh honey. Can I tell you something?" I asked.

"Yeah." She said.

"There is never a moment where I don't think and know that you're the most beautiful woman in the world. Every single morning, even the morning that we're not together, I wake up and smile, knowing that I'm married to the love of my life and best friend. Do you want to know what I love?" I asked.

"Your family?" She asked. I smiled.

"Well, yes, but I also love those moments where it's in the mornings, and I'm sitting on the couch. You come downstairs in sweatpants, with one of my hoodies on, and your hair is pulled back into a messy bun, and you're not wearing any makeup. I know that you think that you look like garbage in those moments, but that's when you look the most beautiful. Remember my reaction when I saw you walking down the aisle on our wedding day?" I asked.

"Yeah, you were crying." She said and I could tell that her tears were slowing down.

"Yup, I was a blubbering mess, and do you know what I was thinking as I cried and watched you walk down the aisle to me?" I asked.

"No, what were you thinking?" She asked. I smiled at the memory.

"I was thinking 'that girl is the most beautiful girl in the world, and she's my best friend and I'm about to marry her and spend the rest of my life with her.'" I said.

"Really?" Y/n asked.

"Yup. Honey, you don't have to do anything to make yourself look good for me. You always look good for me. All you have to do is be you and that alone will take my breath away." I said.

"You're the sweetest." She said. I chuckled.

"That's you darling." I said.

"I just hope that you like the dress that I got for date night. It's white, and it's actually two pieces (A/n: dress is in picture at the top of this!)." She said.

"Well I know that I'm going to love it baby, I promise." I said.

"Okay. I'll let you go. I love you." She said. I smiled.

"I love you too, my beautiful and amazing wife. Bye." I said.

"Bye." She said and we hung up. I set my phone down and looked at my fans.

"Sorry about that, but when my wife is crying, I have to comfort her. I don't know what exactly her dress for date night looks like, she said it's white and it's two pieces but she was like 'I just hope that you like the dress that I got for date night.' but I know that I'm going to love it. My wife is stunning and she never has to do anything to try to look good for me. All she has to do is be herself and that alone will take my breath away." I said. Soon, my q and a was over. Tour flew by and it was time for me to go home.

"DADDY! DADDY! DADDY!" My kids yelled when I walked in the door. Y/n and I are the parents of three wonderful kids: Rose Lucille Mendes, who's seven, Jacob Alexander Scott Mendes, who's five, and Julia Kennedy Mendes, who's three.

"Hello my sweets. How are you guys?" I asked my kids.

"We missed you Daddy!" Jake said.

"I missed you guys too. Where's your beautiful Mommy?" I asked them.

"In the kitchen!" Y/n yelled. I stood up and there she was, making dinner. I smiled at her.

"There's my beautiful wife." I said. She was wearing one of my white t-shirts, sweatpants, and her hair was pulled back into a ponytail. She smiled at me. Oh God. I'm pretty sure that her smile could cure everything bad in the world.

"There's my handsome husband. Sorry that I didn't have dinner already done but -" She started as I walked over to her.

"It's fine baby. Don't worry about it. How about the kids go watch some television and I'll help you finish dinner?" I asked. She nodded.

"Okay." She said. I smiled and looked at the kids.

"All right guys, how about I put something on tv for you guys so I can help your Momma finish making dinner?" I asked.

"Okay Daddy." The kids said. I smiled and put something on tv for them. I then walked back over to Y/n. She smiled at me.

"They've been impatiently waiting for you to come home. I don't know how many times they asked me when you would be home." Y/n said. I smiled.

"Well I'm home now. Were they good for you while I was away?" I asked. Y/n thought for a moment and then nodded.

"Mostly." She said.

"What do you mean mostly?" I asked as I helped her with dinner.

"Well, sometimes they would give me a hard time when it was time for bed. They kept asking 'When is Daddy coming home so he can read to us?' or 'When is Daddy coming home so he can sing to us?' and they never liked my answer." She said. I nodded.

"Well now that I'm home I can help put them to bed." I said.

"Yeah, but you're only home for a little bit, and then you're off to tour again." She said. I looked at her and I could tell that she was holding back tears. I got a paper towel and wiped my hands. I then put my hand on her back but she still focused on the food, not wanting to look at me for some reason.

"Baby, look at me." I said. She shook her head.

"I can't." She said, her voice shaky.

"Why not?" I asked.

"Because then I'll cry." She said.

"So what? I'm your husband, it's okay to cry." I said. She turned to me and tears fell onto her cheeks.

"Sorry." She said.

"You have nothing to apologize for. Baby, I promise you that when I'm touring, and when I'm singing those songs, I'm thinking about you guys. I downloaded a countdown app on my phone so I could countdown the days until I see you guys again. I'm home now baby, so I can help put the kids to sleep and I can help with whatever you want, okay?" I asked. She nodded.

"Okay. Thank you." She said.

"You're welcome my love." I said.

A couple of nights later, I dropped the kids off at my mother in law's for the weekend so Y/n and I could have some much needed alone time together. We were going to head out to a nice restaurant for date night, and then come back and make love. I wore black dress pants and a white button up dress shirt. As I was making sure that the buttons on my shirt were good - I have to make sure I look perfect, this is our first date night in a while - I heard the bathroom door open.

"Shawn? Do I look okay?" Y/n asked. I looked at her and my jaw dropped. Just like she said, her dress was white, and two pieced. It showed a little bit of her stomach, and her y/h/c hair was down and straightened. She was wearing only a little bit of makeup. I smiled, knowing that the gorgeous woman in front of me is mine forever.

"Wow." I said and I couldn't help the tears that filled my eyes. Y/n walked towards me and began to wipe my tears away. I couldn't stop smiling at my beautiful and stunning wife.

"Why is my husband crying?" She asked.

"I'm just... I'm the luckiest man alive. You constantly take my breath away and you look so beautiful honey. So, so, beautiful. Holy crap, I'm married to the most beautiful and most amazing woman ever." I said and then put my lips on hers. I felt my heart race as if I had just run a marathon, I felt sparks shoot through me like fireworks, and I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my tummy. We soon pulled away and smiled at each other.

"So you like the dress?" She asked. I took a step back so I could really look at her. I smiled and nodded.

"I love it. Damn baby, after eight years of marriage and almost twelve years of being together, you still never fail to take my breath away." I said. She blushed.

"Thank you honey. Your buttons are a little messed up." She said with a giggle. Oh my gosh, that giggle alone gives me such butterflies. She began to fix the buttons on my shirt.

"What? I just checked them." I asked and said. She lifted up my shirt a little and I looked.

"Look, you put them in the wrong order, but don't worry, fixing the buttons on my husband's shirt is one of my wifely duties." She said and I chuckled.

"What are your other wifely duties?" I asked. She smirked as she fixed the buttons.

"Always giving my husband good sex. Hopefully I can fulfill that wifely duty tonight." She said. I smiled.

"Oh trust me babe, I know you, and I know you will fulfill that wifely duty tonight. I love you darling." I said. Y/n blushed and finished fixing my buttons.

"I love you too honey." She said. I kissed her and then interlaced our fingers. As our skin touched, I felt electricity spark through me yet I felt safe and warm at the same time.

"Ready for dinner babe?" I asked as she put on her heels. She put her hand to my cheek and I smiled at the feeling of her wedding ring.

"My love, with you I'm ready for anything. I'd be ready to conquer the world with you if that's what you wanted." She said. I held her hand where it was on my cheek and then kissed the palm of her hand. I then smiled at her.

"Come on beautiful, let's head to dinner." I said and she nodded. We got in the car and after backing out of the driveway, I held her hand.

"Are we going to the restaurant that we usually go to?" She asked.

"Well I thought that I would spice things up a bit, so we're going to a different restaurant." I said.

"Ugh, I hate surprises." She groaned and I laughed.

"You liked it when I surprised you by showing up at your front door and asking you to be my girlfriend." I said.

"Okay, good point." Y/n said.

"And you liked it when I surprised you by proposing to you." I pointed out.

"Okay, so I don't like surprises, but I like your surprises." She said and I chuckled before kissing her hand.

"You look so beautiful honey. Absolutely stunning." I said. I didn't have to look at her to know that she was blushing.

"Thank you baby. You look so handsome. We clean up nice for date night, don't we?" She asked. I chuckled and nodded.

"Yup, we do." I said. We soon arrived at the restaurant and stepped out. As soon as I reached my wife, I interlaced my fingers with hers again.

"Baby, it can get expensive here." Y/n said. I looked at her for a moment.

"Your point being?" I asked.

"It's too much." She said and I could tell that she felt bad. I stopped walking and so did she. I pulled her in for a hug.

"Nothing, absolutely nothing in this world, is too much for you, my love." I said. She looked hesitant but nodded.

"Okay." She said. I smiled and we kept walking into the restaurant. I held Y/n's hand as I went up to the person at the front.

"Hi, the reservation should be under Y/l/n." I said. I always use Y/n's maiden name because I don't want people to know that it's me. I just want some nice alone time with my wife.

"Right this way." The waitress said as she grabbed two menus. Y/n and I were guided to a table that was towards the back, so it would give us more privacy, just like I had asked when I made the reservation. We were soon seated. Y/n and I opened up our menus. I watched Y/n look at the menu. Although my wife knows that I can definitely afford a nice, fancy dinner for us, she still doesn't like it when I spend a lot of money on her.

"Don't worry about the prices darling, I've got it all covered." I said. She looked at me.

"How did you know that I was worrying about the prices?" She asked. I smiled as I looked at her.

"Well, I'm your husband, so I know you better than anyone else. I saw you looking at the menu, and you were frowning. Don't even look at the prices honey, I've got it covered. I don't care how much it costs, get whatever you want, okay?" I asked. She sighed and looked at me.

"Shawn..." She said.

"I've got it babe." I said. The waitress came up to us.

"Hi, I'm Jackie, and I'll be taking care of you tonight. Can I start you off with something to drink?" She asked. I knew that Y/n would just say water, so I jumped in.

"Yes, could we have some Dom Perignon please?" I asked, not caring about the fact that it was close to two hundred dollars. I ignored Y/n's wide eyes for a moment.

"Okay, and are you guys ready to order your meal?" Jackie asked.

"Um, I'll just get plain spaghetti please." Y/n said. Jackie nodded, wrote it down and then looked at me.

"And for you sir?" She asked.

"I'll get the Fettuccine please." I said. Jackie nodded and wrote it down before taking our menus.

"Okay, I'll be right back with your drinks." She said and walked away.

"Shawn, the Dom Perignon is $184 dollars, why did you get that?" Y/n asked. I reached my hand across the table so I could hold her hand. She hesitantly put her hand in mine. I played with her wedding ring as I spoke.

"My love, you deserve this. You've been taking care of the kids all by yourself while I've been away -" I started.

"Well my mom and Grace would come over to help sometimes." Y/n said.

"Yes, sometimes. But were they there with you every single night? Were they the ones that did everything for the kids while I was gone?" I asked. Y/n sighed and shook her head.

"No." She said.

"Exactly. That was all you my dear. Not only were you basically a single mother to our three kids while I was away, but on top of that, you're an adjustment counselor. And I bet that there were nights, and maybe days too, that you struggled, right?" I asked. Y/n nodded.

"Yeah. It's just... I went from being used to you being away on tour. I mean, when we met and were first getting to know each other, you were on tour. And then, when we got married and had kids, you were on a break for about eight years, so I got used to you being home with me and with the kids, and then you went back on tour. I know that this is your job and that you love touring, it's just hard to be away from my husband. And there were a couple of nights that Rose would have nightmares, and I would try to comfort her and she would say 'You're not comforting me like Daddy does.' and I didn't know what to do." Y/n said.

"Honey, when that happens, call me. I don't care if I'm in a q and a or something, I'll answer and I'll help you out, okay?" I asked. Y/n sighed.

"I should be used to this right? You being on tour? We've been together for almost twelve years, I should be used to this." She said.

"And you were used to this, but now you're getting adjusted to me being on tour while we have three kids. When I'm on tour, and there's a problem with the kids, I want you to call me, okay babe?" I asked. Y/n sighed as she looked at our hands.

"Okay. I just don't like bothering you during q and a's or when you're rehearsing or anything." She said.

"My love, you never bother me. Never." I said. She nodded and then our drinks came. Y/n and I smiled and thanked the person who poured it for us. Y/n then looked at me.

"Should we make a toast?" She asked with a smile.

"Sure. What should we make a toast to?" I asked as I smiled at my amazing wife who I fall for more and more all the time. She thought for a moment and then her smile widened.

"Oh! I know!" She said. I chuckled and held up my glass and she did the same.

"What are toasting to babe?" I asked.

"To my amazing husband for doing an amazing job on the first leg of his world tour." She said and we clinked our glasses.

"Mind if I make a toast too?" I asked.

"Sure, go ahead babe." She said with a smile.

"I want to make this toast to my amazing and stunning wife, who is an amazing mother to our three kids, and who I love more than anything in this world." I said. She smiled at me and then we clinked our glasses again before taking a sip of our drinks.

"That's good." She said. I chuckled and nodded.

"Yup." I said.

"I liked your toast." She said with a smile. I smiled back.

"Well I liked yours." I said and her smile widened, but then it faded a little and she looked at her drink.

"Um, I have a favor to ask, and I feel really bad about it honestly." She said.

"Honey, don't feel bad. What is it baby?" I asked. She seemed almost nervous as she continued to look at her drink.

"I know that we haven't been intimate in a while, like, since before you left for tour, but the kids are going to be at my mom's house for the whole weekend, so we have the whole weekend to do stuff. Um..." She said.

"Honey, if you don't want to be intimate tonight, that's fine. We can be intimate tomorrow if you want." I said. She looked at me and I noticed the relief on her face as she nodded.

"Yeah, tomorrow sounds good. It's just that, since you got home, the kids have been with us, so besides the quiet moments that we have when we're falling asleep, we haven't really gotten to have any time alone just the two of us. Is it okay if, when we get home, we get changed into pajamas and maybe cuddle on the couch or something?" She asked. I smiled and nodded.

"Of course it is baby girl. We don't even have to turn on the television, we can just cuddle on the couch and talk." I said. She nodded and our food arrived. When the waitress walked away, Y/n looked at me.

"Yeah. I've missed you so much honey." She said as she was about to take a bite of her food.

"I've missed you so much too babe. But I'm home now, and I'm home for almost a month, okay?" I asked. Y/n nodded.

"Yeah. Do you think that the kids fully realize what you do for a living?" She asked. I finished the bite that I had just taken as I thought for a moment.

"I don't know. I mean, I think that they at least kind of understand it, but not fully. They'll understand it more as they get older though." I said. She nodded.

"Yeah." She said. We talked a bit in between bites. Y/n took a sip of her drink and then looked at me for a moment, a content smile across her lips.

"What are you smiling about Mrs. Mendes?" I asked. She blushed.

"I'm just really happy that you're home. There's a part of me that wants to get our food to go so we can head home and cuddle, but we haven't had date night in a while, so I just want to savor this time with my husband." She said. I smiled.

"Yeah I've missed our date nights. I have a question for you honey." I said. She nodded.

"Okay. What is it?" She asked.

"I know that you would do this when I was on tour while we were dating and then when we were engaged. Um, I know that you don't want me to worry about things, so sometimes when I'm on tour, you don't tell me every single thing that's going on. Is there anything that's been going on while I'm on tour that you haven't told me about?" I asked before taking a sip of my drink. She looked at her food and sighed.

"Yeah, and I feel really, really bad because it was a bit of a big thing and I really should have called you but I didn't want you to worry so I didn't call and tell you, and I'm really, really sorry but -" She rambled.

"Honey, it's okay, I won't be mad. Just tell me what it is." I said. She sighed.

"So, at school, this one kid came up to Jake during nap time, and the kid said that you left to go on tour because you don't love us, so Jake started crying and the kid called him a baby for crying and then the kid hit him, so Jake, um..." She said. My eyes widened.

"Did he hit back?" I asked. She nodded.

"Yes, and I'm so sorry that I didn't tell you. I got a phone call from the school and they said that his recess privileges had been taken away for the week and they would have suspended him but he didn't hit first. I'm so sorry Shawn. Are you mad at me?" She asked. I shook my head.

"No, not at all, but if this happens again let me know please." I said. She nodded.

"I will. I'm sorry, I just -" She said.

"My love, it's okay. I'm not mad or anything, and when we see Jake, I'll talk to him about it and tell him that he's not allowed to hit anyone for any reason whatsoever. Does he, um, does he realize that the kid was lying? Does he know that I went on tour because of work?" I asked. Y/n nodded.

"Yeah. I already talked to him when I picked him up from school that day." She said. I nodded. We had a really nice dinner, and when the bill came, I wouldn't let my wife see it. She sometimes will cover the tip for the waiter or waitress, but I told her not to.

"My darling, I haven't been home in a while, and we haven't had date night in a while. I've got the bill honey, don't worry." I said.

"Shawn, you know me, of course I'm going to worry." She said. I chuckled.

"That's true. But I've got it babe. This is my treat." I said. She sighed and nodded.

"Okay. Thank you." She said.

"You're welcome. Thank you for being an amazing wife and mother to our three beautiful kids." I said.

"You're welcome honey. The kids and I are so happy to have you home." She said. I smiled.

"Well I'm happy to be home. You know what we haven't done in a while?" I asked.

"What?" She asked. The waitress came and took the thing that had my card in it so we could pay for the meal. She was a really good waitress, so I gave her a hundred dollar tip.

"We haven't taken a nice, warm, relaxing bath in a while. Should we do that when we get home?" I asked. Y/n smiled and nodded.

"Yes!" She said and I laughed. Soon, the waitress came back with my card and we were all set to leave. Well, I asked someone to take a picture of Y/n and I before we left, and then we left and went home. As soon as we walked in, Y/n kicked her heels off and looked at me. I pulled her in for a hug.

"Hi wifey." I said in a whisper as I brushed some of her hair out of her face. She smiled.

"Hi hubby. So you like this dress?" She asked. I nodded.

"Yup. You're a smoke show honey. An absolute babe, and you're rocking this dress." I said. Y/n blushed and laughed.

"Well you're a hunk." She said. I smiled and gave her a sweet and loving kiss.

"Come on baby girl, let's go take a nice bath." I said and she nodded and held my hand as we went upstairs. We both got undressed and got some towels. Y/n put her hair up in a bun so her hair wouldn't get wet.

"Shawn?" She asked as I started the water.

"Yes darling?" I asked.

"When we're eighty years old, and my boobs are sagging, and everything is sagging, and I'm all gray and wrinkly, will you still think that I'm beautiful?" She asked. I looked at her.

"No. I won't still think that you're beautiful, because I'll still know that you're beautiful. You being beautiful isn't what I think, it's what I know." I said. Y/n had tears in her eyes and she kissed me.

"I love you. You're my everything." She said.

"I love you too baby. You're my everything too. Do you want to feel the water to see if it's at the right temperature babe?" I asked. She nodded and felt the water.

"Perfect, just like my husband." She said with a smile.

"I'm not perfect but my wife is." I said.

"You're crazy." She said as I stepped into the bathtub and sat down. I spread my legs so she could sit between them.

"Yeah, crazy in love with you, now how about you get your gorgeous self in here?" I asked. She laughed and got into the tub. She rested her back against my chest and hummed.

"This is nice. I've missed this." She said. Her head was resting on my shoulder, so I kissed the side of it as I wrapped my arms around her.

"I've missed it too baby." I said.

"Remember when I was pregnant and we would take baths, and sometimes I would fall asleep because the feeling of you rubbing my belly relaxed me so much?" Y/n asked. I chuckled and nodded before resting my head against hers.

"Yup. I would be in the middle of saying something and then I would hear you snore. But I didn't mind it when you fell asleep. It made me feel good knowing that I could relax you that much." I said.

"You're the best when I need to be relaxed. Like, you're just so good at it. You know how to calm me down and get me to be relaxed." She said. I smiled.

"Well you do the same thing for me babe. You know, for a thirty three year old women, you have a rockin' body." I said. Y/n laughed.

"Oh my gosh Shawn. Well for a man who will be thirty four this summer, you have a rockin' body as well." She said. I smiled.

"Have to stay in shape for my wife. She likes a guy with muscles." I said before kissing the shell of her ear.

"But you do know that I wouldn't care if you didn't have muscles right? Your muscles aren't why I fell in love with you. Your heart and your soul are why I fell for you, your looks are just a bonus." She said. I smiled.

"I know babe." I said. There were a few moments of comfortable silence. I closed my eyes as I held my wife in my arms.

"Shawn?" Y/n asked.

"Hmm?" I responded.

"Would you mind if I played with your wedding band?" She asked. I opened my eyes and smiled.

"Not at all babe. You put it on me, you can play with it as much as you want." I said before kissing the side of her head again. I watched as she began to play with the silver wedding band that she had put on me eight years ago. She spun it around my finger and I noticed that she was smiling.

"I remember everything about our wedding day." She said. I smiled and nodded as I watched her fingers play with my wedding band.

"Me too. What was your favorite part of our wedding day?" I asked.

"Oh gosh, I don't know. I really, really loved our first kiss as husband and wife, and I really, really loved our first dance, so I don't know what my number one favorite part of that day would be. Do you know what yours would be?" She asked. I thought for a moment.

"Hmmm. I loved our first kiss as husband and wife. That kiss somehow felt more magical than all of our kisses before that." I said. She nodded.

"Yeah, it did. I loved our honeymoon." She said. I smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, I loved it too." I said.

"You know what I really loved about our first night as husband and wife?" She asked.

"No, what was it?" I asked. She tilted her head back so she was looking at me as she smiled.

"I loved the fact that you didn't take my virginity at some random hotel. You took my virginity here in our own bedroom. You were so gentle and sweet about it too. I remember telling you that I was worried that I wouldn't make you feel as good as the girls in your past did, but you reassured me that I would make you feel even better, and then after we did it for the first time, you said that I had made you feel better than the girls in your past." She said. I smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, because you did. You're the best." I said and she blushed, causing me to chuckle.

"I love you." She said.

"I love you too honey. Should we get out of the bath and cuddle?" I asked. Y/n nodded her head.

"Yeah." She said and we got out of the tub. We dried each other off and then got dressed and cuddled in bed. I held her close to me.

"Today was really nice, wasn't it?" I asked. She nodded.

"Yeah, it was. Thank you for today, and thank you in advance for what we're doing tomorrow." She said. I laughed.

"You're welcome. How about we rest now since we're definitely going to be doing a lot of stuff tomorrow?" I asked. She giggled.

"Okay baby. I love you." She said. I gave her a kiss.

"I love you too. Good night wifey." I said.

"Good night hubby." She said. I love my wife, and our date nights, so much.
