I sat with my fiancé, the singer and songwriter Shawn Mendes in his dressing room. I leaned my head on his chest as he rubbed my arm soothingly. We were supposed to go to his question and answer session soon. It would be the last one that I would be going to for tour. Shawn's next concert after this is September 6th, but because of school, I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it. The rest of the concerts for his tour I won't be able to go to because of school. Shawn squeezed my arm gently and kissed the top of my head. I looked up at him.

"Are you okay darling?" Shawn asked. I nodded but wouldn't let my eyes meet his.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I said.

"No you're not. I know you. What's going on babe?" He asked. I sighed and then looked up at him.

"This is going to be my last question and answer session with you, and my last time getting to watch you perform for this tour." I said. Shawn picked me up gently and moved me so I was sitting on his lap.

"I know baby, but we're going to have lots of fun tonight, I promise." Shawn said. I nodded and then put my lips on his. I felt my heart race as if I had just run a marathon, I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my tummy, and I felt sparks shoot through me like fireworks. We pulled away when there was a knock at the door, and I got off of Shawn's lap.

"Come in!" I said. Shawn's security guard, Jake Stras, poked his head in.

"Ready for the q and a?" He asked. Shawn and I nodded and stood up. Shawn interlaced his fingers with mine, and as our skin touched, I felt electricity spark through me, yet I felt safe and warm at the same time. The fans screamed when Shawn and I walked in. We sat down. Shawn put his finger to his lips so they would quiet down.

"So, per usual, please don't talk while someone else is asking a question. You guys can ask me anything you want, and you can also ask my fiancé, Y/n, anything that you want as well. Okay, let's get started." Shawn said. I leaned over and whispered in his ear.

"Can I say something before we get started please?" I asked. He nodded.

"My wonderful fiancé would like to say something before we start." Shawn said. He then rubbed my back. He probably knew what I was about to say.

"I would like to thank you guys so much for letting me come into the q and a's. Unfortunately, because of school, this is going to be my last day on tour with Shawn, and this will be my last q and a. I have absolutely loved coming into the q and a's, it's made me feel closer to you guys, so thank you guys so, so, much for letting me come in all the time. I'm definitely going to miss this." I said. Shawn kissed my cheek and whispered in my ear.

"Beautifully said." Shawn said. I smiled at him.

"Thank you." I said.

"You're welcome." He said, and then chose someone to ask a question.

"My question is for Y/n, um, is Aaliyah going to be your maid of honor?" She asked. I shook my head.

"No, my maid of honor is going to be my best friend Grace, but Aaliyah said yes to being one of my bridesmaids, so I'm very happy about that. She's like my little sister and she calls me sis or sissy and I love it." I said.

"I personally love how you asked Grace to be your maid of honor, and I loved how you asked Aaliyah to be one of your bridesmaids." Shawn said. I nodded.

"Yeah. Grace loves ring pops, so I after Shawn and I told her that we had gotten engaged, she hugged us and congratulated us, and then I went and got a ring pop and I literally got down on one knee, said her full name, and asked her to be my maid of honor and she said yes." I said.

"I was laughing hysterically because Grace had the same reaction when Y/n asked her to be her maid of honor that Y/n did when I asked her to marry me. I wish that I had recorded it. Grace was like 'Oh my gosh of course yes!' and it was great." Shawn said. I nodded.

"Yeah, and for Aaliyah, I gave her a card that said 'I found my mister, and now I gained a sister! Will you be my bridesmaid?' and her eyes were wide and she goes 'Really?' and I said yes and she hugged me, and I was like 'So is this a yes hug, or a no hug?' and she was like 'Of course it's a yes!' so it was great." I said. Shawn then chose someone else to ask a question.

"So we know that you guys said that you're getting married on May 25th, 2024, and I'm already super excited for the wedding photos, but I was just wondering, do you guys have a venue yet?" She asked.

"Not quite yet, but we know that we want to get married in Boston. So many important milestone in our love story happened in Boston, so we definitely want our venue to be somewhere in the city. We have an idea of where we want to get married, so we're hoping to call the people there soon and see if we can check it out because it seems absolutely perfect for us." Shawn said and I nodded in agreement. He then chose someone else as he held my hand in his.

"Is there anything that you guys know that you definitely don't want for your wedding?" The person asked. Shawn and I nodded.

"Yes!" I said. Shawn chuckled.

"Yeah. I know that one of them has to do with Y/n's wedding dress, and another thing is that we don't want an outdoor wedding." Shawn said. I nodded.

"Yeah. I mean, we would love an outdoor wedding, but I told Shawn that I would be so nervous that we would have everything set up and then it rains and everything gets ruined, so we want an indoor wedding. Also, I don't like those mermaid style dresses for some reason. They look like they would be too hard to sit down in." I said with a laugh. Shawn chose someone else.

"My question is for Shawn, you've probably been asked this before, but how did your family react when they first met Y/n?" She asked. Shawn smiled.

"They instantly loved her. Actually, the day that I had met Y/n, I called my dad when I was alone and told him that I had just met the girl that I was going to marry someday. By the time that they met Y/n, they already loved her because I had told them about her and they could tell that I was in love with her. I still am by the way." Shawn said with a chuckle.

"You better be considering the fact that we're going to get married!" I said and Shawn laughed.

"Trust me babe, I'm beyond in love with you." He said. I smiled.

"That makes me really happy." I said. Shawn's smile widened.

"Good because you're happiness is my happiness." Shawn said. I leaned my head on his shoulder and he chose someone else to ask a question. Soon, it was time for the q and a to end.

"Wait, do you guys mind if I take a picture or something?" I asked. They cheered, and I ended up recording a video. "Do you guys mind if I post that on Instagram?" I asked. They cheered and I smiled. Shawn and I then left the room and went back to his dressing room.

"I'm really proud of you baby." Shawn said as we sat down.

"For what?" I asked.

"For coming into the q and a's with me. I've loved having you with me." He said. I gave him a quick kiss.

"Thank you for being proud of me. I've loved going in with you. It's helped me get out of my comfort zone a bit." I said. Shawn smiled.

"Good. Are you going to post that video of the q and a group on Instagram?" Shawn asked. I nodded.

"Yeah. It's okay that I'm doing that, right?" I asked. Shawn nodded.

"Of course it is." Shawn said. I nodded and then posted the video, along with a caption.

"Because of school, this will be my last day on tour with Shawn. I just went into Shawn's q and a for the last time for this tour. I wish that I could stay longer, but I need to get my degree! Thank you guys for always welcoming me into the question and answer sessions, and for cheering louder those two times that Shawn brought me on stage. And to Shawn: thank you. Thank you for getting me out of my comfort zone by bringing me into the q and a's, for bringing me on stage with you so you could serenade me with your beautiful voice. I love you Shawn, and thank you once again to the Mendes Army. I'll miss this!" I wrote. Shawn kissed the side of my head.

"Perfect caption babe." Shawn said and I smiled.

"Thanks baby." I said. Soon, it was time for the concert. Shawn brought me on stage when he sang Fallin All In You and it was wonderful. I'm the luckiest girl in the world.
