43. Dancing In The Kitchen
I woke up in the morning, my husband of three months, the singer and songwriter Shawn Mendes, sleeping next to me. He was shirtless, but wearing shorts. I was in shorts and a tank top. Shawn was laying on his back and my head rested on his chest. I felt the rise and fall of his chest with each breath that he took. I felt the sudden urge to wake him up and dance with him in the kitchen. Should I? I pulled up the Twitter app on my phone and began to sweet.
"I have a very strong urge to dance with Shawn in the kitchen but he's sleeeeeping." I tweeted. I then made another tweet.
"Should I wake him up with kisses?" I tweeted. I then put my phone aside and began to kiss all over Shawn's divinely handsome face gently. I soon felt an arm wrap around me and I smiled.
"What are you up to baby?" Shawn said, his sexy, raspy, morning voice evident. I pulled away and looked at him. He was smiling at me, and his smile widened when I put one of my hands to his cheek.
"Well, my love, I have a sudden urge to dance with you in the kitchen, and I just couldn't wait any longer, so I decided to wake you up with some kisses." I said. Shawn chuckled.
"You know baby, your kisses are the best way to be woken up." He said. I smiled.
"Yeah?" I asked. He nodded.
"Yeah. Now, I just need a kiss on the lips and then we'll go dance in the kitchen." Shawn said. He then closed his eyes and puckered up his lips. I put my lips on his, my hand still on his cheek, now both of his hands on my back. I felt my heart race as if I had just run a marathon, I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my tummy, and I felt sparks shoot through me like fireworks. We soon pulled away and got out of bed.
"What song should we dance to?" I asked as I reached my hand out for his. As our hands touched, I felt electricity spark through me, yet I felt safe and warm at the same time. We headed downstairs and into the kitchen.
"Well, we could dance to Thinking Out Loud since it was our first dance song, or we could dance to The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face since that was what we danced to for the last dance of the night at our wedding. It's up to you babe." Shawn said as we stood in the kitchen. His hands were on my waist and my hands were on his shoulders. I smiled.
"What if we dance to Fallin All In You?" I asked. Shawn smiled.
"You want to dance to one of my songs?" Shawn asked. I nodded.
"Of course I do." I said. He smiled and put it on. We began to dance to it in our kitchen, our eyes never leaving each other. His caramel eyes pull me in, they intrigue me and mesmerize me.
"There's no safety net that's underneath, I'm free / Fallin all in / You fell for men who weren't how they appeared, yeah / Trapped up on a tightrope now we're here, we're free / Falling all in you." Shawn sang before he twirled me. I laughed and smiled. The song went along and he kept singing to it. The song soon came to an end and we smiled at each other.
"I love you hubby." I said. His smile widened.
"I love you too wifey." He said before kissing me.
"Are you hungry?" I asked when we pulled away from the magical kiss. Shawn nodded.
"Yeah. Should I make pancakes?" Shawn asked. I thought for a moment.
"Let's spice things up. We always do pancakes. What about waffles? They deserve to be eaten too." I said. Shawn laughed and nodded.
"Okay my silly girl. Should we have counter talks while I make the waffles?" Shawn asked. I nodded.
"Yes please." I said. Shawn picked me up and put me on the counter.
"My wife is so polite." Shawn said as he opened up the freezer to get the waffles out. I smiled.
"I like being your wife. I like it a lot." I said. Shawn smiled as he put the waffles in the toaster. He then walked over to me and rubbed my legs as he smiled at me. I rubbed his shoulders.
"Well I like being your husband. I like it a lot." Shawn said. I smiled.
"Do you think that you'll always like being my husband?" I asked. Shawn nodded his head almost violently.
"Definitely. I'm very proud to be your husband. You're an amazing woman Y/n Mendes." Shawn said.
"Well thank you. I'm very proud to be your wife. You're an amazing man Shawn Mendes." I said. Shawn kissed me and I couldn't help but smile into the kiss. He smiled too, and then we pulled away when the waffles were done. We had a wonderful breakfast, and later that day we went to a local park and strolled around. I'm the luckiest girl in the world to be married to a man that doesn't mind being woken up just to dance with me in the kitchen.
