VERY IMPORTANT AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hi guys, so I've had a couple of people ask me for requests. I actually put in the description of this book that as of right now they're closed. I'll explain my reasoning behind that: I get a lot of ideas of my own, and for me, as a writer, when I get an idea, I need to get it out or else it will stay stuck in my head. Also, requests can be a bit challenging to do. Sometimes it's just someone asking something like "could you do an imagine where Shawn and I have a baby? my name is __" but there are others that ask for more details to be used. I have nothing against that, but it's hard to find an easy way to put all of those details into a story. Anyways, please enjoy this imagine! Okay, without further ado, let's begin!

Shawn's point of view

I've been married to Y/n Mendes for almost five years now, and we want to have a third baby. As of right now, we have Rose Lucille Mendes, who's three and a half, and Jacob Alexander Scott Mendes, who's one and a half. Y/n and I agreed that this third baby would be our last one.

I'm currently taking a break from music, but I have been writing quite a lot. Being a husband and a father has given me such great inspiration. Mine and Y/n's son, Jake, was born by an emergency cesarean section because his heart rate had dropped, so when he was healthy and we returned home with him, I wrote a song about the experience. It was scary but my wife was such a trooper through it even though she was extremely scared and worried about our little boy.

"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" Rose yelled as she ran towards me when I walked in the front door. Y/n was sitting on the couch with Jake. I picked up Rose.

"Hi honey. Were you good for your Mommy while I was out?" I asked. She nodded.

"Yeah!" She said with a big smile. I gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Good girl." I said. I walked over to my wife, who was now standing while holding Jake on her hip.

"Hi hubby." She said. I smiled at her.

"Hi wifey." I said.

"We missed you today." She said.

"I'm sorry. I've missed you guys too." I said. Lately I've been going to the studio to record a few songs. I want to release three singles, but not an album. I'm still on a break from music for a few more years. That weekend, Y/n and I dropped the kids off at their grandmother's house and went home to make love.

"Ready to make a third baby?" Y/n asked. I nodded.

"Yup. Come here." I said and put my lips on my wife's. As our lips moved in sync, I felt sparks shoot through my body, I felt my heart race as if I had just run a marathon, and I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my stomach. I picked up Y/n and she instinctively wrapped her legs around my waist. Our kiss never broke as I held her with one arm underneath her bum, and my other hand holding the railing. We got to our bedroom and made sweet, beautiful and intense love for as long as we could, and then we did it again the next day.

One month later

Y/n has been throwing up a lot. She seemed to be getting more emotional at times, and she had all of the same symptoms that she did when she was pregnant with Jake and Rose. I went out and bought three pregnancy tests, and when I came back, Rose ran up to me.

"Daddy! Mommy's getting sick again!" Rose said. I thanked her for telling me, ran upstairs, and sure enough, Y/n was getting sick.

"Hey honey. Let it all out." I said as I rubbed her back in small circles. Soon, she was done emptying her stomach and she wiped her mouth. She saw the bag on the counter that I had put there.

"What's that?" She asked as she pointed at the bag.

"Those, my love, have three pregnancy sticks in them." I said. Y/n looked at me.

"Do you think that I could be pregnant again?" She asked. I nodded.

"Yeah. Honey, you're having all of the same symptoms that you had when you were pregnant with Jake and Rose. What about your period? Have you gotten it this month?" I asked. She shook her head.

"No. Will you sit on the bed and I'll pee on the sticks?" She asked. I nodded and kissed her forehead.

"Of course I will honey. How long do I set the timer for?" I asked. She checked the pregnancy sticks.

"Three minutes. But don't start it until I tell you that I've peed on them." She said. I nodded.

"Okay." I said. I gave her a quick kiss and then went and sat down on the bed. I got the timer ready.

"Okay you can start it now!" Y/n yelled to me through the bathroom door. I pressed start.

"Okay, it's started." I said. I heard her wash her hands and then she came back out and sat with me on the bed.

"I hope that if we are pregnant, it's a girl." She said as she rested her head on my shoulder.

"Me too babe. Julia Kennedy Mendes if we have a girl, right?" I asked. I felt her nod her head against my shoulder.

"Yeah. But if the baby is a boy, Logan Joseph Mendes, right?" She asked as she looked up at me. I smiled.

"Yeah." I said.

"I really want to be pregnant again Shawn." Y/n said. I kissed her forehead.

"You will be. If you're not pregnant right now, we'll just keep trying." I said. Y/n nodded and soon the timer went off. Y/n stood up and then looked at me.

"Do you want to come with me to check?" She asked. I smiled and nodded.

"Of course honey." I said. We walked into the bathroom and Y/n looked at the tests, gasped, and then turned to me with tears in her eyes.

"We're pregnant. Oh my gosh Shawn we're pregnant." She said. Tears formed in my eyes as I gently pulled her in for a hug.

"Oh honey this is wonderful. I love you, and our little ones, so much." I said. Y/n smiled and kissed me.

"We love you too. Shawn, this is our last baby." She said as she rubbed her belly a little. I wiped away my own tears and smiled. I then got down on my knees and began to talk to my wife's belly. Y/n ran her fingers through my hair as I spoke and happy tears fell from my eyes.

"Hi little one, I'm your Daddy and you're in your Mommy's belly. You're our last baby. We don't know if you're a boy or a girl yet, but either way, Mommy and I can't wait to see you. You have a brother and a sister that are going to love you so much. If you're a girl, you're going to be my princess, just like your sister. If you're a boy, you're going to be my prince, just like your brother. I already love you so much little one, and I know that Mommy feels the same way." I said before placing a gentle kiss on my wife's belly before standing up. Y/n hugged me.

"I love the fact that you did that when we found out that I was pregnant with Rose and you also did it when we found out that I was pregnant with Jake. You're an amazing man Shawn Mendes." Y/n said. I smiled and kissed her.

"Well you're an amazing woman Y/n Mendes. You've carried two of our little ones for nine months both times and you did an amazing job of it, and now you're carrying our third little one. I love you so much." I said.

"I love you so much too honey. We should probably make an appointment with Dr. Ackles." Y/n said, mentioning the doctor that delivered our two other precious little ones.

"Okay. Wait, I'm supposed to be releasing some new singles soon. I obviously won't be touring, but still, I'll be releasing like two or three songs." I said. She nodded.

"Hold on." She said.

"Okay." I said. She got a zip lock bag and put the pregnancy sticks in them. She then turned off the bathroom light and put the pregnancy sticks in the top drawer of her dresser. I have my own dresser. She then sat on the bed.

"Would you need to do promotions for these singles?" She asked as I sat on the bed with her.

"I would probably have to do some interviews." I said. She nodded.

"Maybe you could schedule it so you would be announcing that I'm pregnant during one of the interviews." She said. I nodded.

"Okay. You look tired honey. How about you rest, and I'll call Dr. Ackles and make an appointment?" I asked. She nodded.

"Okay. I love you Shawn." She said as she got under the covers. I smiled and kissed her forehead.

"I love you too honey." I said. I then left the room and went down the hall. Jake was standing and bouncing up and down in his crib.

"Dada." He said. I smiled and picked him up.

"Hi buddy. Let's go get your sister." I said. Rose was playing with her toys.

"Daddy!" She yelled.

"Shhh honey, your Mommy's sleeping. Let's go downstairs." I said.

"Okay Daddy. Will you play with me?" She asked.

"I will in a few minutes, I just have to make a phone call." I said.

"Okay." Rose said as we went downstairs and into the family room. I called Dr. Ackles and made an appointment. The following week, Y/n and I went to see her and she confirmed that Y/n was a little over a month pregnant. We went back when Y/n was three months pregnant and starting to show.

"Are you excited handsome?" Y/n asked as we drove to the doctors. I nodded. Jake and Rose were at Y/n's mom's house.

"Definitely." I said. We soon walked in and went up to the front desk.

"Y/n Mendes for Dr. Ackles." Y/n said.

"Okay, you're all checked in." The receptionist said.

"Okay thank you." We said and then sat down. We were soon called into a room.

"Are you ready to find out the gender?" Dr. Ackles asked as she put the gel on Y/n's belly.

"Absolutely. We're hoping for a girl." Y/n said. Dr. Ackles put the thing on Y/n's stomach and moved it around.

"Well, there's your baby girl." Dr. Ackles said. Y/n and I smiled at each other with happy tears in our eyes and then at the screen as we looked at our baby.

"Look Shawn, there's our last little one." Y/n said. I kissed her hand since I was holding it.

"Yup." I said. We soon went back to Y/n's mom's house to pick up the kids. We had called Y/n's father and brother and asked them to meet us there and they said yes. They were already there when we got there.

"Hi guys." Y/m/n said.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Rose said.

"Hi honey!" I said as I picked her up. I put her on my lap and Y/n put Jake on her lap.

"Is everything okay?" Y/d/n asked. We nodded.

"Yup. Everything is perfect. Um, so, Shawn and I just got back from the doctors, and we are extremely happy to say that we're pregnant with a little baby girl." Y/n said with a gorgeous smile adorning her face. Everyone congratulated us.

"Did you hear that Rosie and Jakey? You're going to have a little sister!" I said. Rose clapped.

"Yaaaay!" She said, causing us all to laugh.

"Do you guys think that you'll have any more after this one is born?" Y/m/n, my mother in law asked. We shook our heads.

"No. When we first talked about our future, we decided on three kids, so this is our last little one." Y/n said. We soon went home and Y/n and I Facetimed my family to tell them the news. They were ecstatic. We then told our friends, but we also told them to keep it a secret. I told my manager, Andrew Gertler, that I would announce my wife's pregnancy when I went on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The doctors said that Y/n could still fly, so we dropped Jake and Rose off at my mother in law's house and then went to the airport. I gave Y/n my big jacket to hide her bump, and we flew to Los Angeles. Y/n sat in the crowd during my interview.

"Please help me welcome back, Shawn Mendes!" Jimmy Fallon said. I hadn't been on his show in over five years, so when I walked out, the crowd was cheering pretty hard. I gave Jimmy a bro hug and then we sat down. I smiled at Y/n, who was wearing a gorgeous floral, blush colored dress.

"Hey, how are you?" I asked Jimmy.

"I'm good, how are you?" Jimmy asked.

"I'm good." I said with a smile.

"So, a couple of months after you and Y/n got married, you announced that you would be taking a break from music for about six or so years. You're now releasing three singles. Do you need a math tutor? Because it hasn't been six or so years." Jimmy said and I laughed.

"No, I'm good. I just didn't want to leave the fans hanging for a while, and the songs that I released are very meaningful and special to me, so I thought that I should share them." I said.

"So, the last time that you were on here, you were dating Y/n Y/l/n, and now you're married to Y/n Mendes. I was at your wedding, which was absolutely beautiful by the way." Jimmy said.

"Thank you." I said.

"How long have you guys been married for now?" Jimmy asked. My smile widened.

"Five wonderful, amazing, fantastic years. It's so great because I'm married to my best friend, who I'm so beyond in love with." I said.

"Now you also have kids with Y/n, right?" Jimmy asked. Here we go. I nodded.

"Yes. So we have Rose Lucille Mendes, who's going to be four in February, and we have Jacob Alexander Scott Mendes, who's going to be two in May, and our third baby should be arriving in May." I said with a big smile. The crowd cheered and Jimmy's eyes widened. I smiled at my wife for a moment and she smiled back.

"Wait, Y/n's pregnant right now?" Jimmy asked. I nodded.

"Yup." I said.

"Congratulations!" Jimmy said as he stood up to give me a hug.

"Thank you." I said as I sat back down.

"If you don't mind me asking, how far along is she?" Jimmy asked.

"She's almost four months. My wife is actually here tonight, she's sitting right over there." I said as I pointed at her. The crowd cheered and she smiled. Jimmy got up and walked towards her to give her a hug.

"Congratulations!" I heard him say as they hugged.

"Thank you!" She said. She sat back down and Jimmy came back over to me.

"So do you guys know what gender you're having or is it a secret?" Jimmy asked.

"We're having a little girl." I said.

"That's amazing! Do you guys have a name picked out yet?" Jimmy asked. I nodded.

"Yes, we do. But, just like we did with Rose and Jake, we'll keep her name a secret until she's born." I said. Jimmy nodded.

"So when Y/n was pregnant with Rose, how did she tell you?" Jimmy asked. I smiled at the memory.

"First of all, I can't stop smiling right now and second of all, she had gotten a bunch of books that you would read to a baby, some of them were even books that Y/n and I would read or have read to us when we little. She had gotten like, three bags of books, and I remember looking at the books and thinking 'Oh, she got books for when she gets pregnant.' and then there was a certain book that I pulled out, I forget what it was, um. Babe which book was it that made me realize that you were pregnant?" I asked my beautiful and amazing wife. She pointed at Jimmy and I nodded as I remembered.

"Wait, why is she pointing at me?" Jimmy asked. I laughed.

"Because, so I had already looked through a whole bag of books, and then I get to the second bag, and I pulled out your book, Your Baby's First Word Will Be DADA and that's when it all clicked." I said.

"My book helped you realize that your wife was pregnant with your first baby?" Jimmy asked with wide eyes. I nodded.

"Yup. I looked at your book and my eyes went wide and I remember thinking 'Wait, this isn't for when she gets pregnant, she is pregnant.' and so I started to stumble over my words and I finally asked her if she was pregnant, and she pulled out the pregnancy sticks and told me that I was going to be a dad." I said.

"That's great! Well I'm glad that my book and I could be of service. So how did Y/n tell you that she was pregnant with Jake, and how did she tell you that she was pregnant with this baby?" Jimmy asked.

"Well for Jake - her face is about to turn so red - um, so she had ordered something online, and then one day while Rose was napping, she comes up to me, and she goes 'I have something for you.' and I was like 'You didn't have to get me anything.' and she goes 'Trust me, I did.' and she handed me an envelope. On the envelope, she had written 'To: my baby daddy, from: your baby momma' but I thought that she was referring to Rose, you know?" I asked. Jimmy laughed and nodded.

"Right." Jimmy said.

"So I open the envelope - watch, Y/n's face is about to get so red - the card said 'Congratulations! You are going to be a great DILF! (A/n: for those of you who don't know what a dilf is, it stands for Dad I'd Like to F*ck)'" I said. Jimmy cracked up laughing and Y/n's face was so red.

"Oh my gosh that's great." Jimmy said as he wiped tears from his eyes.

"So I laughed, and then I opened up the card and she had written in it 'Are you ready to be a dilf again? I hope you are, because I'm pregnant.' and it was just amazing and hilarious and I loved it." I said.

"That's hilarious. Y/n, kudos to you for doing that. So, Shawn, how did she tell you about this baby?" Jimmy asked. I smiled.

"Well she was having the same symptoms that she had with Rose and Jake, and so I went out and bought pregnancy tests, and when I got home, she was getting sick because of the morning sickness. When she was done getting sick, I told her that I got pregnancy tests and then she did it and we checked them together and cried happy tears when we saw that they were positive." I said with a smile.

"That's wonderful. So, you're releasing three songs. Do you want to explain them?" Jimmy asked. I nodded.

"Yeah, so one of them is called My Rosie Girl, that's obviously about my daughter Rose." I said.

"And I'm guessing that that's Rose talking at the very end of the song?" Jimmy asked. I nodded.

"Yeah. That totally wasn't planned by the way. I had brought Rose and Y/n to the studio and as I was recording My Rosie Girl, I had my eyes closed, so I had no clue that Rose had run into the booth until I felt someone pulling on my leg, and then I saw her and picked her up, and right when the song ended she said 'I love you Daddy.' and I said 'I love you too sweet pea.'" I said.

"That's great. What about your other songs?" Jimmy asked.

"So the one called Prince of Miracles - my wife loves that title by the way - is about Jake. When Y/n was in labor with him, his heart rate dropped and so we had to do an emergency c-section and it was very scary. The doctor had come in and said 'This isn't optional by the way. We need to do an emergency c-section.' and obviously Y/n and I were very scared. I was more scared than I was showing because I knew that if I showed just how scared I was, it would only elevate how scared Y/n was. Luckily when Jake was born he was fine and I was able to cut the cord." I said. Jimmy nodded.

"Wow. I remember seeing Y/n post a picture of her while she was in labor but you couldn't see anything because a screen was up, and you were rubbing her head and it looked like you were talking to her." Jimmy said. I nodded.

"Yeah my Mum took that picture. Both of our mothers were in the room when Jake was born." I said.

"I think that the caption that Y/n put for that photo was beautiful, and I actually have it printed out right here. Do you want to read it?" Jimmy asked. I smiled and nodded.

"I would love to." I said.

"Alright, here you go." Jimmy said as he handed me the paper. As I read it, I got a little emotional.

"I am so beyond thankful and grateful to have Shawn as my amazing husband, best friend, partner in love, and partner in life. When we found out that I would need an emergency c-section because of Jake's heart rate, I instantly became anxious and nervous, but luckily I had Shawn right beside me to keep me calm. Shawn, my sweetest and dearest love, thank you for repeatedly reassuring me that everything was going to be okay whenever I said that I was scared. Thank you for holding my hand and using your other hand to rub my cheek, my forehead, my scalp, anything to keep skin to skin contact with me to keep me calm. Thank you for telling me your favorite story - our love story, which is also my favorite story - when I asked you to tell me any story or just keep talking to me about anything to get my mind off of what was going on with Jake. My love for you is infinite. You're an amazing husband to me, father to our children, and you're just an overall amazing person. I love you Shawn Mendes, you've made me the luckiest and happiest woman in the world. (Also, thank you to my mother in law Karen Mendes for taking this picture!)" I read and wiped some tears away.

"Are you okay? Are these happy tears?" Jimmy asked. I nodded.

"Yes to both of those questions. I'm just, I'm the luckiest man alive to have such an amazing wife and such amazing kids. There are times when I go back and look at that post and I get emotional every time." I said. Jimmy nodded as he handed me some tissues.

"So, your third song is about your wife, and it sounds to me like it's about your wedding day, is that correct?" Jimmy asked as I finished wiping my tears away. I nodded.

"Yeah. I basically, somehow, summarized from the moment that I saw her walk down the aisle until we got home, into one song." I said.

"And that's the one that you'll be performing, right?" Jimmy asked. I nodded.

"Yup. I had originally titled it Best Day, but then we had kids, so I changed it to Wedding Day." I said. Soon, I performed the song, and afterwards, Y/n and I met up backstage.

"You were wonderful babe. I love you so much." She said.

"Thank you honey. I love you so much too." I said. I gave her a sweet and loving kiss. We announced on Instagram that we were pregnant, and that following May, Julia Kennedy Mendes was born. I'm the luckiest man alive.
