192. You're A Teacher
A/n: I don't remember who sent me this idea, but thank you so much for it! I hope you guys like it! Anyways, without further ado, let's begin!
I woke up in the morning, my cheek pressed to my husband's shirtless chest. I could hear his steady breathing, signaling to me that he was still asleep. I picked my head up and saw the alarm clock. I was going to have to get up in five minutes anyways, so I gently scooted out of Shawn's arms and out of bed. I got my clothes out for the day and laid out some towels. I turned off the alarm right when it was about to go off so it wouldn't wake up Shawn, and then got in the shower. After a few minutes, the shower curtain opened and a naked Shawn stepped in.
"I don't like it when you shower without me bunny." Shawn said, calling me the same pet name that he first started calling me only a few months into our relationship.
"Sorry baby. I didn't want to wake you, you looked so peaceful." I said as he reached around me to grab his shampoo.
"It's okay. How did you sleep last night?" Shawn asked as he washed his hair and I rinsed mine.
"Good, what about you?" I asked.
"Good. Let me just finish my hair and then I'll wash your body, sweetheart." Shawn said. I smiled and nodded. He quickly finished his hair, put body wash on my loofa, and began to wash my body. I held his shoulders as he moved the loofa around on me. I turned around so he could do my back and bum. "There you go beautiful." He said. I turned back around, gave him a kiss, rinsed off my body, then washed his.
"I wish I didn't have to go to work today. I wish I could just lay in bed with you all day." I said as I washed his chest and abs.
"I know darling, but we can cuddle when you get home." He said. I nodded and after Shawn rinsed off, we stepped out of the shower and dried off. I straightened my hair, put light makeup on, and got dressed.
"Do you like my outfit Shawny?" I asked Shawn. I was wearing black jeans, a white long sleeve button up shirt with a pattern on it (A/n: picture is above!) and black boots. Shawn smiled at me.
"You look absolutely gorgeous, my love. You always do." Shawn said. I blushed and gave him a kiss.
"Thank you, handsome. I should get going. I'll see you when I get home. I love you." I said.
"I love you too baby." Shawn said. I got in the car and drove to the local elementary school where I'm a fourth grade history teacher. I got into my classroom before the bell rang and set my bag down. I got my papers ready as the bell rang and the kids filed in. I suddenly realized that a stack of papers that I was supposed to return to the kids today was missing. I looked around my bag again and on my desk with no luck. I would figure it out at lunch. Right now, I needed to start class. Time went by, the class I had left, and a new class came in. They left for lunch and I took out my phone and texted Shawn.
Me: SOS! I can't find the maps I graded last night and I was supposed to give them back to the kids today. Could you please look in my office and see if they're there?
Hubby: Of course baby, just give me a couple of minutes to look around.
Me: Thank you!
I took out my lunch bag and went to another history teacher's room. We all sat together and began to talk while we ate. My phone soon dinged.
Hubby: Found it! Do you want me to bring it in?
Me: Yes please! You're a lifesaver, my love.
Hubby: Lol. I'm on my way.
Soon, lunch was over and I went back to my classroom as a new class filed in. A little girl, Julie, raised her hand.
"Mrs. Mendes?" She asked.
"Yes Julie?" I asked.
"At lunch, John said that you didn't have our maps. Are we not getting those back today?" She asked. I smiled at her.
"My husband should be bringing them in soon." I said. She nodded, satisfied with that answer.
"Okay." She said. I went back to teaching. Ten minutes later, there was a knock at the door. One of the students rushed forward to open the door, and Shawn stood in the doorway. I smiled at him and waved him in. He handed me the paperwork as the kids began to whisper to each other.
"Thank you so much for doing this, I really appreciate it." I said as Shawn kissed my cheek. Before Shawn could respond, the kids started talking again.
"Mrs. Mendes! Aren't you afraid that he has cooties?" Someone asked. Shawn and I laughed a little.
"No, I'm not worried about that. Do you guys know who this is? This is my husband, Mr. Mendes." I said.
"Hi guys." Shawn said as he waved to them.
"Hi!" They said. Shawn then turned to me and lowered his voice.
"I'll see you when you get home." He said. I nodded and squeezed his hand, not wanting to kiss in front of the kids. He squeezed back and then left. I gave the kids their papers back and they were happy. I love Shawn so much, and I'm so grateful for him and his support.
