Shawn's point of view

I woke up in the morning, my wife of two and a half months Y/n Mendes asleep in my arms. I smiled as I tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear gently and carefully, hoping not to wake her up. I kissed her forehead and in her sleep, she smiled. I decided to go get us some coffee. I gently removed my arm from underneath her head, got up, and got dressed. I went to a local Dunkin Donuts and went up to the counter.

"Hi, how can I help you?" The person behind the counter asked.

"Can I get two medium iced coffees, regular, French vanilla swirl please?" I asked. They nodded.

"Sure. Anything else?" They asked.

"Yes, could I also get two bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches on a croissant please?" I asked. They nodded.

"Sure thing." They said.

"Great. That's going to be it." I said. I paid and then waited at the other counter for mine and Y/n's food and drinks.

"Shawn?" Someone asked. I looked.

"Hi." I said. The girl came up to me.

"Hi. Could I get a picture with you please?" She asked. I nodded.

"Sure." I said and we took the picture.

"Didn't you and Y/n meet at a Dunkin Donuts? Is this the Dunkin Donuts that you guys met at?" She asked. I smiled at the memory.

"We did meet at a Dunkin Donuts, but it wasn't this one. It was the one on Longwood Ave in Boston." I said.

"You and Y/n are so cute and your wedding pictures are so beautiful!" The girl said. My smile widened even more as I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

"Thank you. I bet that's my wife calling me right now. Yup, it is. Hey babe." I said as I answered my phone and waited for our food and coffees.

"Hey bubs, where are you?" She asked.

"I'm getting us some coffee and I get us both a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a croissant so I'm just waiting for that right now." I said.

"Oh my gosh, you're the best husband ever." Y/n said. I chuckled.

"Well you're the best wife ever." I said. I heard Y/n giggle. I was aware of the fact that the fan was still standing next to me.

"When you get home, can we cuddle on the couch please?" Y/n asked.

"Of course we can darling. I'll cuddle with you as much as you want." I said.

"And can I get some of your kisses too?" She asked.

"You never have to ask my love, just put your lips on mine and I'll kiss back. I just got our food and drinks, so I'll be home soon honey." I said.

"Okay, I love you hubby." She said. I smiled.

"I love you too wifey." I said, and we hung up.

"Bye Shawn!" The girl said as I gathered my stuff.

"Bye!" I said. I got in the car and went home. As soon as I walked in the door, Y/n, who had been sitting on the couch, stood up and smiled at me.

"Here, let me take something." She said. I knew that she was going to take the coffees, and she did. She then set them down and turned to me.

"Hi baby girl." I said. She smiled at me.

"Hi baby boy. Come here." She said and opened up her arms for a hug. I set the food down and then wrapped my arms around her waist. She wrapped my arms around my shoulders.

"I love you Mrs. Mendes." I said. She rubbed my back a little.

"I love you too Mr. Mendes. Um, I'm sorry." She said. I pulled away from the hug a little as I frowned.

"Why are you apologizing honey?" I asked. She shrugged as she looked anywhere but in my eyes.

"I don't know. I guess that I just feel a bit clingy right now." She said. I kissed her cheek.

"Oh, my sweet love, that's okay. I'm right here baby girl, and I'm not going anywhere. Let's sit down and cuddle, okay?" I asked. She nodded.

"Yeah. But right now I really want to kiss you." She said. I smiled and put my lips on hers. I felt my heart race as if I had just run a marathon, I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my tummy, and I felt sparks shoot through my body like fireworks. We both smiled into the kiss, and then pulled away. I rested my forehead against hers.

"Be mine forever." I said.

"I'm already yours forever honey. Don't worry." She said. I smiled.

"Okay." I said as we got our food and coffees and sat down. Y/n put her feet in my lap, and I rubbed her legs and feet as we watched Netflix. I looked over at Y/n and admired her for her a moment or so. How is it possible that I'm married to the most amazing woman in the world? I truly am the luckiest man alive. I looked back at the television, and a little bit later, I heard Y/n sigh. I looked at her and she was moving her feet and pausing the tv to show me a video that she had been tagged in on Instagram.

"Someone decided to videotape you while you were on the phone with me earlier today at Dunkin Donuts. Gosh, can't we have privacy? We were just talking on the phone and now this video of you on the phone with your wife is everywhere. You know what? Why am I complaining? I should be used to this. I should be used to our privacy being invaded and things like that." She said. I set my coffee down and pulled her into my lap.

"No, you shouldn't be, and you shouldn't have to deal with it. I'll make a post. I knew that the fan was standing next to me, but I didn't know that she was videotaping. But I was having a conversation with my wife, and although I was in a public place, she didn't need to videotape it and then post it online. Would it make you feel better if I made a post?" I asked. Y/n thought for a moment and then nodded.

"Yeah." She said. I kissed her cheek and then took a selfie of us cuddling on the couch. I posted that picture and wrote a caption.

"It's come to my attention that while I was getting coffees and food for my wife and I earlier today, someone videotaped me having a conversation with my wife over the phone. Please understand that although I was in a public place, that was a conversation between my wife and I, not my wife and I, and the internet. I love you guys, and I don't mind taking pictures with you guys if I'm able to, but please don't record my conversations with my wife. That's private. Thank you guys for understanding. Xx - Shawn." I wrote.

"Perfect way of putting it baby. I love you." Y/n said as she rested her head on my chest and I wrapped my arms around her.

"I love you too honey." I said. We had a really nice rest of our day, and luckily at least some of the people who had posted the video, took it down.
