Shawn's point of view

"Are you ready for your question and answer session?" Jake Stras, my security guard, asked. I nodded. This would be my first q and a in about two years. I felt a bit nervous, but once I heard my fans scream as I walked into my q and a, I felt my nerves drift away. I smiled and sat down.

"Hi guys, so, just like always, if someone is asking a question, please don't speak over them. If you need me to repeat a question, I will. Also, this is my first question and answer session since Y/n and I started dating." I said with a smile. The fans cheered, and then I picked someone to ask a question.

"How long have you and Y/n been dating?" She asked. I smiled.

"We've been dating for two years and three months and they have been the best two years and three months of my whole entire life." I said. I then chose someone else to ask a question.

"Why did you take a break from music for so long?" The person asked. I sighed and thought for a moment.

"Well, Y/n and I met in August of 2019 when I was in Boston during my last tour. I like to say that I courted her for four months before I asked her to be my girlfriend on December 22, 2019. I stayed with her in Massachusetts for a bit, and when I went home to Toronto, I wrote a bunch of songs about her. Then, she came up to visit me in March for about a week, so I wasn't writing a lot of music while she was there because I wanted to spend as much time with her as possible. She came back in May of 2020 and spent the summer with me and we became even closer. After she left, I began recording again, but I took a break from December 2020 to about the end of January 2021 because we were spending our anniversary together. Then we moved in together and so I was busy spending a lot of time with her but she's definitely my inspiration for my music. Every love song on this album is about Y/n." I said before picking someone else.

"What was the first song that you wrote after you met Y/n?" Someone asked. I smiled.

"Y/e/c Eyes was the first song that I wrote after I met her. I had gone back to my hotel room, told my manager, Andrew, all about Y/n, and then wrote that song. I fell for her eyes before I fell for anything else." I said before picking someone else.

"What were the first things that you and Y/n ever said to each other?" He asked. I chuckled.

"She has told me that the first thing that she ever said to me was 'Hi Shawn, I saw you in concert last night and you guys were great. Can I get a picture with you please?' but honestly, I saw her lips moving, but her eyes, they just pulled me in and so I barely heard what she said. My first words to her were 'I'm sorry what? You have the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen.' and that was the first time, out of many, that I have made her blush." I said. The fans laughed. I picked someone else.

"What's your favorite thing about your girlfriend?" The person asked.

"Physically or like, something that I can't touch? Or both?" I asked.

"Both." The person said. I smiled.

"So, physically, my favorite thing about her are her eyes. I'm so in love with her eyes and they always pull me in and mesmerize me. My favorite thing about her that I can't touch, well, it's actually two things, but I would have to say her heart and her soul. She has a big, generous and amazing heart and an amazing soul. I love how all of these questions have to do with Y/n." I said with a chuckle and the fans laughed. I picked someone else.

"You and Y/n once said that you guys wanted to be together for two years before you get engaged. Now that you guys have been together for two years, when are you going to propose to her?" She asked. I chuckled.

"Well I would love to tell you guys the answer to that, but some of you guys are recording and so if I say the answer, Y/n might fight out, and I want the proposal to be a surprise. But I will admit to the fact that I have a plan on how I'm going to propose and when, and, I know that Y/n may find out about this, but I also have a ring. I'm not going to say where the ring is hidden, but I have a ring." I said. The fans cheered and I smiled as I picked someone else to ask a question.

"I know that you can't say much, but is your proposal going to be big and elaborate?" She asked. I shook my head.

"No. I'm not going to have a flash mob or anything like that. I know Y/n, and I know that she's going to want it to be more intimate rather than very huge and public." I said. I picked someone else to ask a question.

"Do you ever get jealous of Y/n and other guys?" The person asked. (A/n: Shawn's answer to this question references an imagine in my third book of imagines. It's number 58 and it's titled "Are You Really Going To Wear That?")

"I'll be one hundred percet honest, there was one time that we were going to go to a club with some friends, and Y/n stepped out of the bathroom looking so hot and beautiful and gorgeous. But I made a mistake. I didn't tell her that she looked stunning, because I thought 'If she wears that to the club, then some guy is going to take her away from me.' so I was like 'Are you really going to wear that?' and she didn't like that obviously. I still feel bad about it, but I tried to tell her that she couldn't wear that and she got mad at me for that. When we were at the club, we were still upset with each other, and I stayed with my friends, and she stayed with hers, but the whole time, I was just staring at her, and I tensed up whenever a guy came up to her. She even told me that she had told those guys that she has a boyfriend and that she got them to go away, but I was still upset. Actually, do you guys remember when I posted a picture of Y/n on Instagram, and she was wearing black jeans and a low cut tank top and I think I captioned it something like 'Went out to a bar tonight with a few friends and this smoke show that I'm lucky enough to call my girlfriend.'?" I asked.

"Yeah." They said.

"Yeah, it was that night. We got home and she wouldn't let me into the bathroom while she was getting changed, so I threatened to bust the door down, and when she opened the door, she was crying. She asked me what I wanted and I asked her how I could fix this. Now, keep in mind that Y/n never yells. If she yells, something is very wrong. So she looks at me and yelled, I'll say bleeping instead of what she said, 'DON'T TRY TO BLEEPING CONTROL ME! I AM MY OWN DAMN PERSON AND I'M GOING TO WEAR WHATEVER THE BLEEP I WANT!' and we ended up making up. So to answer your question, yes, I do get jealous at times." I said with a small laugh. I picked someone else to ask a question.

"Does Y/n ever get jealous?" The person asked. I nodded. (Shawn's answer to this question is from an imagine in this book called "Camila Jealousy" and it's number 74.)

"Yes. I didn't really know about her jealousy until we had been dating for about eight months. Y/n knows that I'm good friends with Camila Cabello, and Y/n had never told me that she was jealous of my friendship with Camila. But then they met, and we were at the studio house in Malibu. Y/n asked if her and I could talk in the other room, so we went in the bedroom and sat down. By then I had already learned that Y/n will talk when she's ready. If you push her to talk, it's just going to make things worse, so we sat in silence for a little bit before she said 'I'm scared.' and I asked her why, she said that she was scared that she was going to lose me. That was when she told me about the jealousy about Camila. She's gotten jealous other times, but at the end of the day, I know that her heart is mine and she knows that my heart is hers, so we're good." I said. I picked someone else.

"What was the first gift that Y/n ever gave you?" The person asked. I smiled.

"A Harry Potter themed pillow, and she actually already had it at her house, so she gave it to me the day we started dating." I said. I chose someone else to ask a question.

"What was the first gift that you ever gave Y/n?" The fan asked. I thought for a moment.

"Hold on a second." I said as I pulled out my phone. Why couldn't I remember what my first gift to her was? I called Y/n and put her on speaker but I put my finger to my lips so my fans would know to be quiet. Y/n quickly answered.

"Hi babe." She said. I smiled.

"Hi darling. I'm in my q and a right now, and someone asked me what was the first gift that I ever gave you. For the life of me, I can't remember. Do you remember what it was?" I asked.

"It was when I visited you in Toronto for the first time in March of 2020. You gave me a really, really nice framed picture of us. It was our first picture as boyfriend and girlfriend. My brother took it the day we started dating, and it's you and I standing in the living room of my mom's house hugging and smiling at each other. I love that picture and that frame. And then, a couple of days later, you got me a promise ring." She said. I smiled.

"Yup. I remember that now. You have that picture on your dresser at home." I said.

"Yup, I do. I'm sorry honey, but I have a lot of homework to do, so I have to go." She said.

"It's okay my love, don't apologize. Just don't overwork yourself, okay?" I asked.

"Okay." She said.

"I love you." I said with a smile.

"I love you too." She said, and we hung up.

"So yeah, I forgot about that, the first gift I ever gave her was a framed picture of us. I remember, before she got to Toronto, it was a few days before she landed, and I was going to a bunch of different stores to make sure that I had the right drinks and food for her and the perfect gift for her and everything, and she loved it so I was very happy and so was she." I said before choosing someone else to ask a question.

"Who said I love you first?" She asked. (A/n: Shawn's answer to this question references an imagine in this book titled "Meeting Justin Timberlake & John Mayer" which is number 32, and it references another imagine in this book number 33, titled "First I Love You & Talks Of The Future")

"Well, what had happened was, I knew that I had fallen in love with her, I knew that when I laid eyes on her, so I told Justin Timberlake and John Mayer about this and I told them that I didn't know how to tell her that I love her. Y/n was in town and so a couple days after I had texted Mayer and JT, they came over and Justin asked Y/n if they could talk out on the balcony. Later on Y/n told me that Justin had encouraged her to tell me that she loves me, so it was that night that Y/n told me that she loves me, so she said it first. She was very nervous to tell me, but I could practically see her nerves drifting away when I said it back. We had a very important talk about our future that night and it was great." I said. My q and a soon came to an end. Two months later, Y/n and I were engaged. I love Y/n so much, and I love to talk about her too.
