Shawn's point of view

I walked into my q and a and smiled. I had been feeling a little down, so seeing my fans made me happy. Why had I been feeling a little down? Because I've been away from my wife and three kids for a couple of months now, and I miss them more than anything. I sat down and spotted a teenage girl in the crowd. Her and the girl and boy next to her had their hoods up and were wearing sunglasses. Even though they tried to hide their identity, I knew exactly who they were. I put my finger to my lips to quiet down the crowd and then looked at my three kids.

"I love the fact that you're wearing my sunglasses Jake." I said. Jake took off the sunglasses.

"How could you tell that it was me?" He asked. I chuckled and leaned forward a little.

"Listen to me, I helped to make you guys -" I started.

"Ewww Daddy." Rose said as she took the hood and sunglasses off and Sarah Grace did the same.

"Well I did. I can easily recognize my kids, now get your bums up here." I said. The kids stood up and sat down with me. I had one of my daughters on each side of me and Jake sat next to Rose. "Where's your mother?" I asked. Rose pointed at the back, where Y/n was also hiding. She gave a small wave.

"Hi hubby." She said. I smiled.

"Hi wifey. Do you want to come up here too?" I asked. She shook her head.

"Nah, I'll just sit back and enjoy this cute moment." She said. I smiled and looked at my kids.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked.

"Well we missed you Daddy, and we wanted to see you, so Mom and Uncle Andrew arranged this." Rose said. I smiled.

"Well I'm glad that you guys are here. Okay, so this is my eldest child, Rose, this is my middle child, Jake, and this is my youngest, Sarah, but I call her Sarah Grace. Kids, these are my fans." I said and the kids waved. Rose then leaned over and whispered in my ear.

"If the fans want to ask us questions, we don't care." She said. I nodded and then looked at my fans.

"If you guys want to ask my kids questions, that's fine too." I said. I then picked someone.

"My question is for your kids, um, what's it like to be the children of the legendary Shawn Mendes?" She asked. My kids laughed a little and Rose took the lead.

"It's pretty cool. I mean, we'll go to school and people ask us about him and ask us if he gives us ferraris and lamborghinis, which he hasn't, and to the world he may be the Grammy nominated, legendary Shawn Mendes, but to my siblings and I, he's just Dad." Rose said. I smiled at her and patted her back.

"Good job." I whispered to her and she smiled. I picked another person.

"My question is for Rose, I was just wondering, like, do you realize how excited the Mendes Army was when we found out that Shawn was going to be a dad for the first time? Obviously we were excited about Jake and Sarah Grace but you were the first." She asked. Rose smiled.

"I remember one time I went back through Daddy's Instagram posts and found the post of him announcing that my mom was pregnant with me and I looked at the comments and it was really cool to see, and then I loved seeing the picture that he had posted when I was born. I think it's cool that my parents kept all of our names a secret until we were born." Rose said. I nodded.

"I remember that Y/n and I would walk around the house, this was while she was pregnant with each of the kids, and we would refer to them as her, or baby girl Mendes, or in Jake's case it was him and baby boy Mendes, because we were afraid that if we referred to them by their name before they were born, we would accidentally slip and say it in an interview or in front of loved ones. I think we did a good job of keeping their names a secret, right Mrs. Mendes?" I asked. My wife nodded.

"Yup." She said.

"What are you eating babe?" I asked. She made a face as if she had been caught.

"A muffin." She said.

"You have a muffin? Do you have one for me?" I asked. My wife then lifted up a bag to show to me.

"Well of course I do." She said as she stood up. I got up too and we met each other halfway. I gave her a quick kiss and then went back to where I had been sitting with the kids.

"Find yourself someone who will bring you your favorite snack." I said and everyone laughed before I chose someone else.

"What's your kid's favorite memory with you?" She asked. I looked at my kids. Rose started.

"I think that my favorite memory with Daddy would be... oh gosh, um, it's probably from my eighteenth birthday which was just a couple of months ago. My dad handed me this box and apparently he had written a letter to me the day that my parents brought me home from the hospital and then he would write a letter to me each year on my birthday, so in total there were nineteen letters. It was really cool to go through and read stories and stuff." Rose said.

"I did it for each of my kids but they're not allowed to get them until they turn eighteen." I told the fans. I then looked at Jake.

"My favorite memory with Dad would probably be him teaching me how to ride a bike. I was so scared but he told me that I was going to be fine and that he wouldn't let anything bad happen to me and he wouldn't let me get hurt. I ended up being fine just like Dad said." Jake said and I smiled. I then turned to Sarah Grace. She's really shy. She looked up at me and shook her head. I put my arm around her and whispered in her ear.

"You can do it honey. Do you want to whisper what it is to me and then I'll say it?" I asked. She nodded. I looked at the fans. "She's shy." I said. Sarah Grace then whispered in my ear.

"It wasn't just one time or one moment. It's every time that you would come home from work and whenever you saw us your face would light up and you would immediately just hug us and play with us." Sarah Grace said. I smiled at her and kissed the side of her head.

"She said that it wasn't just one moment, it's that every time I would come home, my face would light up with excitement and I would just immediately go to the kids and hug and play with them." I said. Sarah Grace poked at me and I looked at her.

"Remember our trip to Maine? That was fun." She asked and said. I smiled.

"She just reminded me of the time that all five of us went to Maine when the kids were little. I'm surprised that you remember that." I said to Sarah Grace. She smiled. I picked someone else.

"My question is for Shawn, what's your favorite memory with your kids?" She asked. I thought for a moment.

"I think this, right now, my kids surprising me." I said with a smile. There were more questions and then my wife and kids and I left the room. As soon as we were out of the room my kids hugged me as my wife looked on.

"We missed you so much Daddy." Sarah Grace said.

"Oh honey, I miss you guys too. More than you know." I said. The kids, Y/n and I went into my dressing room. I then pulled my wife into my arms and she hugged me back.

"I missed my husband so much." She said. I kissed the top of her head and she looked up at me and smiled.

"Well I missed my wife so much. Thank you for surprising me and bringing the kids." I said. Y/n smiled and nodded.

"Well we just wanted to see our favorite guy and Andrew said that you were really missing us." She said. I nodded.

"Yeah, I've been kind of down lately." I said. Y/n put her hand to my cheek and rubbed it with her thumb.

"Oh honey. When you feel like that, I want you to call me. If I'm busy, I'll let you know, okay?" She said and asked. I smiled and nodded. I then looked at my kids and opened my arms up.

"Come here guys. I missed you guys." I said. The kids rushed over to me and soon I was hugging my favorite people in the world. Tears formed in my eyes as I thought of how lucky I am. I sniffled and all of them looked at me.

"What's wrong Daddy?" Sarah Grace asked me.

"I am literally the luckiest guy in the world to have you guys as my kids and my wife. Sometimes I just get a little overwhelmed because I have so much love for you guys and I'm so happy to have you guys. I love you guys so much." I said. Y/n kissed my cheek.

"Well we love you too." Y/n said. Later on, I pulled my wife outside into the hallway and wrapped my arms around her waist as she wrapped her arms around my shoulders.

"How long will you guys be with me for?" I asked.

"Until the end of the week." Y/n said. My eyes widened and I smiled.

"Oh my gosh that makes me so happy. Um, the kids have a seperate room from us, right?" He asked. Y/n nodded as she began to play with my hair.

"Yeah. Why?" She asked. I kissed her cheek and then whispered in her ear.

"Because I've missed your body so damn much. I want you so badly baby." I said. Y/n smiled at me.

"Well I've missed your body too and I want you so badly too honey. You'll have me tonight, I promise." She said. I smiled at her and kissed her. I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my stomach, I felt my heart race as if I had just run a marathon, and I felt sparks shoot through my body. We soon pulled away, out of breath from our amazing and passionate kiss.

"To be continued." I said, causing my wife to giggle. I had a nice concert, and after the show, my wife and I made love for the first time in a while. The next day, and for the rest of the week, I spent time with my family. I was sad when they left, but I was so glad to have them with me for a week.
