I'm currently on tour with my fiancé, the singer and songwriter Shawn Mendes. We're currently on our way to Chicago, Illinois, and I'm really excited. Of course I'm always excited for all of Shawn's concerts, but I'm especially excited for this one. I have cousins in Chicago who I've never met, but we invited them to Shawn's q and a, and to the show, and they said yes.

"You excited baby girl?" Shawn asked me while we were sitting backstage in his dressing room. I nodded.

"Yes! We get to meet Coley today!" I said as I began to jump up and down. I had seen plenty of pictures and videos of my little cousin Coley, starting from when she was a little baby, to now. She's a few weeks shy of her sixth birthday. He chuckled and nodded.

"You're so cute darling." Shawn said. I smiled at him.

"Thank you baby but you're cuter." I said as Shawn stood up and wrapped his arms around me to get me to stay still for a moment.

"Well you're the cutest." He said. I giggled.

"Well that can't be topped, now can it?" I asked. He shook his head and then put his lips on mine. I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my tummy, I felt sparks shoot through my body like fireworks, and I felt my heart race as if I had just run a marathon. Shawn and I pulled away and smiled at each other.

"I love you so much my love. I can't wait to meet your cousins." Shawn said. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his torso as he wrapped his arms around my shoulders.

"I love you so much too. Thank you for letting them come to the q and a, and thank you for giving them tickets to the concert." I said as I rested my head against his chest and closed my eyes. He kissed the top of my head.

"Of course honey. When we get married, they'll be my cousins too, and you know that I would do anything for family. Want to sit back down babe?" Shawn asked. I shook my head.

"No, I'm cozy with my head against your chest. I like it when you let me put my head on your chest because I like listening to your heartbeat." I said. Shawn rubbed the back of my head.

"Well my darling girl, my heart beats for you and only you." Shawn said. I held him tighter and hummed in contentment. There was a knock at the door. "Come in!"

"Hey, sorry to interrupt but your q and a is starting. Y/n are you coming for it?" Jake, Shawn's security guard asked as I unraveled myself from Shawn's arms. I nodded.

"Yeah." I said.

"Okay." Jake said. Shawn interlaced his fingers with mine and as soon as our skin made contact, I felt electricity spark through me yet I felt safe and warm at the same time. Shawn and I walked into the q and a and took a seat. Coley and her parents were sitting in the front and I smiled and waved at them. They waved back.

"Hi guys. So the usual rules apply, if someone is asking a question, please don't talk while they're asking the question, and I'll repeat the question if I need to." Shawn said.

"Can she come up here?" I asked my cousin, Josh, Coley's father. He nodded.

"Yeah." He said. He whispered something in Coley's ear and then handed Coley over to me. I picked her up and put her on my lap.

"Hi Coley Guacamole." I said, calling her by the nickname that everyone loves to call her.

"Hi Y/n." She said. I smiled. Shawn rubbed my back and I looked at him.

"Hi Coley." He said.

"Hi." She said to Shawn.

"I'm going to be your cousin. Is that okay with you if we're cousins?" He asked and my heart swelled with love for this amazing man that I'm engaged to.

"How are you going to be my cousin?" She asked.

"Well, I'm marrying your cousin, so by marriage you and I will be cousins." Shawn said. I nodded and looked at Coley.

"Yup. You're my cousin, and Shawn and I are going to get married, so you'll be related to him." I said.

"How are you and I cousins?" She asked. I looked at Josh and then back at Coley.

"Your... hold on let me figure this out. Um, your Daddy's grandfather, and my grandmother, are cousins. So you and I are distant cousins, but still, we're family." I said. I could tell that she didn't fully understand but she nodded.

"Is it okay with you if I'm your cousin?" Shawn asked again. Coley nodded.

"Yeah." She said. Shawn and I smiled.

"Thank you." He said with a smile. He then turned to his fans. "So, because we have a five year old here, please make sure that your questions are appropriate." He said before picking someone.

"My question is for Shawn, do you think that Y/n will be a good mother some day?" The person asked. I looked at Shawn, who was nodding.

"Definitely. I mean, do you guys see how she is with her little cousin Coley? She's great. Plus her brother has two kids and she's great with them, so I know that she'll be a great mother to our future kids." Shawn said and I smiled at him.

"Well you're great with my brother's kids, so I know that you're going to be a great dad someday." I said and Shawn smiled at me. He then looked at my cousins, Coley's parents.

"Does she have headphones for the concert? I'm worried about it being too loud for her." Shawn asked and said.

"No, we weren't sure of where to get those big headphones for her." Shelly said. Shawn turned to Jake.

"Jake, do we have those big headphones for Coley? She's only five so I'm just worried that it's going to be too loud for her." Shawn asked and said.

"I'm almost six!" Coley said and we all laughed and smiled. I kissed the side of her head. Someone soon came in with big headphones and we handed them to Shelly and Josh.

"Coley you're growing up too much. I still remember seeing pictures of you online from when you were just six months old." I said and everyone laughed.

"Why do you guys all call her Coley Guacamole?" Shawn asked.

"Because guacamole rhymes with Coley, so it just worked out." Josh said. I nodded.

"I like to refer to her as Coley Guac sometimes." I said and Josh and Shelly laughed. Shawn turned to Coley.

"What songs of mine do you want to hear tonight Coley?" Shawn asked. She looked at him for a moment before waving for me to lean down so she could whisper in my ear.

"I don't know his songs. What songs should he sing?" She asked, causing me to laugh.

"He's about to be your cousin, you should learn some of his music." I said.

"She doesn't know my music?" Shawn asked. I shook my head and then turned back to Coley.

"Well, I love his song In My Blood, and I love When You're Ready, and I also love his song Fallin All In You." I said. She nodded and then looked at Shawn.

"Will you play those songs please?" She asked. Shawn chuckled and nodded. Shawn called on someone else.

"My question is for Y/n, um, have you picked out your wedding dress yet?" She asked. I shook my head as I kept Coley on my lap.

"No, not yet, but I know what I want. I think that it was like, a day or two after Shawn and I got engaged - Coley what are you doing?" I asked with a giggle.

"What's this?" She asked as she played with my engagement ring.

"That's my engagement ring." I said.

"Oh." She said as she stopped playing with it.

"Um, I think that it was a day or two after Shawn and I had gotten engaged and I remember sitting at our dining room table in the middle of the night, and Shawn came down and asked me what I was doing, and I had been writing down things that I knew that we wanted for the wedding." I said.

"Yeah, it was like two in the morning and I woke up without her, so I went downstairs and she was sitting there writing down things that we had just been talking about a few hours before." Shawn said and I nodded. After the q and a, Shawn and I gave Coley, Josh, and Shelly hugs, and said that we would see them later before him and I left the room and went back to his dressing room.

"So did you like meeting my cousins?" I asked as we sat on the couch. He nodded and pulled me close to him.

"Yup. They seem nice. The fans probably think that you guys have met tons of times but that was your first time meeting, right?" Shawn asked. I nodded as I rested my head on his chest.

"Yeah. Shawny?" I asked.

"Hmm?" He responded.

"Do you really think that I'll be a good mother to our future kids, or did you just say that in front of the fans?" I asked. Shawn put his hand to my cheek so I would look up at him.

"Of course I think that you'll be a good mother to our future kids. Actually no, I don't think that - I know that. Honey, I see the way that you are with Thomas's kids and with Coley and it's beautiful. You're going to be an amazing mother someday." Shawn said and I smiled at him.

"I love you." I said. He smiled at me.

"I love you too." He said. My phone dinged and I checked it. Josh had sent me pictures of Coley, Shawn and I. I smiled and showed them to Shawn.

"Look at this! I love these pictures." I said. Shawn smiled.

"They are pretty cute." Shawn said. I texted Josh back.

Me: Thank you so much for these! Do you mind if I post one or two of them on Instagram?

Josh: No that's fine.

Me: Thank you!

Josh: You're welcome. How's Gabby by the way?

I texted him back as we discussed another cousin of ours. She had been hanging with the wrong crowd lately, causing Josh, myself, and a few other family members to worry about her. I referred to her as my twin cousin because we have the same exact birthday - month, day, year, everything - so of course her and I are kind of close and so I worry about her. I soon posted some of the pictures on Instagram. The first picture was of Coley sitting on my lap, the second was of Shawn talking to her - probably when he asked if it was okay that he would be her cousin - and the last was of me giving her a hug goodbye before Shawn and I left the room.

"Had a lot of fun at Shawn's q and a today, especially since my little cousin Coley joined Shawn and I at the front! It was so beyond cute when Shawn asked her if it's okay that he's going to be her cousin and she said yes. I had to explain to her how her and I are related, but I didn't mind. "The cutest five, almost six, year old ever." Shawn commented and I smiled at him. I kissed his cheek.

"I love you." I said. He smiled at me.

"I love you too Y/n." He said. Soon he went on stage, and afterwards, Josh texted me saying that him, his wife, and Coley had had a good time, which made me happy. I'm the luckiest girl in the world.
