Shawn's point of view

"So yeah, I'm just waiting for my newly wedded wife of five months to come home. She's getting her master's degree plus she works so she's been crazy busy. I wish that she would slow down and take a deep breath." I said to my fans over a live stream as I played with the wedding band that Y/n had put on me. The door swung open and my wife, Y/n Mendes, weakly smiled at me as she walked in.

"Hi handsome." She said as she took off her shoes.

"Hi gorgeous. You okay baby?" I asked. Something was off, and I wanted to find out what it was. I completely forgot about the live stream as my focus turned one hundred percent to my wife. She sighed and sat down next to me and faced me.

"Today was just such a long day. First I had my three classes, and then after that I had to go straight to work and be there for five hours. Plus, it was crazy busy at work today. My boss actually asked me to stay later than I usually do but then he said that I looked tired so he let me go home at the regular time." Y/n said as I began to rub her cheek with my thumb. I nodded.

"Well I'm sorry that you had such a stressful day baby girl. What can I do to help you feel better?" I asked. She thought for a moment.

"I think that right now I just need to cuddle with you and hear your voice if that's okay." She said. I nodded.

"Of course it is darling. Come here, let's lay down on the couch." I said and we did.

"Do you want me to lay next to you or on you?" She asked. I smiled.

"On me." I said.

"Are you sure?" She asked. I nodded.

"Of course I'm sure. Come here baby." I said and she laid on top of me. She put her chin on my chest and I rubbed her back as she looked at me. "Better?"

"A bit, yeah." She said. I kissed the top of her head.

"Do you want me to tell you a story?" I asked. She smiled a little. Wow, she did look tired. My poor wife.

"Yes please." She said and I smiled. She began to smile even more when she realized what story I was telling.

"Well, once upon a time, a man walked into a Dunkin Donuts shop in Boston. He had never been there before and so he was going to ask the girl that was getting her drink what he should order. And when the man saw the girl, he fell for her right away, and immediately knew that he wanted - and still wants - to spend the rest of his life with her. So, then she came up to him and they traded numbers and the man asked her out on a date. She said yes, and the man was very happy. The next day, they had their second date and that's when they kissed for the first, second, and third time." I said.

"I bet that the girl got crazy feelings when she kissed the man." Y/n said. I smiled and nodded.

"Yup. So the man and the girl got to know each other even with distance between them. They would talk all of the time, to the point where it annoyed the man's manager and security guard." I said and I was glad to hear my wife's beautiful laugh.

"Yeah I'm guessing that it annoyed the girl's family and friends too." Y/n said and I smiled at I nodded.

"Yup. After the man's tour was over, he flew to Boston and showed up at the girl's house with flowers and asked her to be his girlfriend, and she said yes. Then, the man panicked a little because he hadn't asked her parent's permission, but her mom was fine with it. Then, after two years of dating, they moved in together to a beautiful house in the suburbs of Massachusetts. The man didn't want to disrupt the girl's schooling or her chances of her getting the job of her dreams, and plus he had, and still does have, nothing but love for her, and would do anything for her." I said.

"I bet the girl was very happy when she found out that the man was willing to move to another country for her. Probably so happy that she cried tears of joy." Y/n said and I nodded as I continued to rub her back.

"Yup. And after the man and the girl had been together for a little over three years, the man asked the girl to be his wife, and she said yes. The man already knew that he was the luckiest guy in the world, but when she said yes, oh man, he became even luckier." I said.

"Now, did the man almost mess up the plan for his proposal?" Y/n asked and I laughed.

"Yes! All because he thought that he was texting the girl's best friend, but luckily he didn't mess it up. Anyways, they planned a beautiful wedding, and the day came for them to get married, and when the man saw the girl walking down the aisle... she took his breath away, just like always, and she looked so beautiful that he cried a bit. They exchanged vows and said I do, and when they kissed, they officially became husband and wife. Then, at the reception, they had their first dance and the whole day was magical." I said. Y/n smiled and nodded.

"The most magical day ever." She said and I nodded.

"And then, the next day, the man took the girl's virginity, and oh my gosh. She was worth the wait. Even during their first time together, the girl made the man feel better than he ever had, and the man felt very special and honored to have been able to take the girl's virginity." I said and Y/n giggled.

"I'm sure that they had a lot of fun on their honeymoon." She said. I nodded as I smiled.

"Oh definitely. The man loves to make love to his wife." I said. Y/n raised her eyebrows.

"Oh really?" She asked. I nodded.

"Yup. You know, I can't say that they lived happily ever after, even though I know that they will, but I can't say it quite yet. I'll say it when they're on their back deck watching their grandkids play, but they definitely will live happily ever after." I said. Y/n smiled.

"I love you." She said. I kissed her forehead.

"I love you too. Did you like that story?" I asked. She nodded.

"Yup. It's my favorite story ever." She said and I smiled.

"Mine too. Come here darling." I said as I pulled her closer to me. I put my lips on hers and felt my heart race as if I had just ran the Boston Marathon, I felt sparks shoot through my body like fireworks, and I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my stomach. I suddenly pulled away with wide eyes.

"What? What's wrong?" Y/n asked.

"The man completely forgot something." I said.

"What did he forget?" She asked. I pointed at my phone, where the live stream was still going.

"The man completely forgot that he was doing a live stream while he told that story." I said. Y/n thought for a moment before shrugging.

"Oh well. Your fans heard a wonderful story." She said and I smiled. I then flipped to the side so my back was to the camera on my phone and my fans couldn't really see us. Y/n began to rub my back. "What are you doing? The fans won't be able to see you now."

"That's true, but I've missed my wife today and I want to cuddle with her. I don't even care if the live stream is still going, I just want to be close to her." I said. Y/n nodded and rubbed my back. I closed my eyes at her soothing touch, but when she began to talk, I opened my eyes.

"Today, all I could think about was you. I just kept thinking about how I wanted to get home to you, and relax with you and cuddle with you. Even just your presence alone is like a stress relief for me. I always feel so much better, so much lighter, when I'm with you." She said and I smiled.

"I feel the same way about you." I said, and that made her smile.

"That makes me happy." She said.

"Good. Are you hungry my love?" I asked. She nodded.

"Yeah." She said. I sat up and then looked at my phone.

"My darling wife and I will be going to the kitchen, but fear not, we will be back." I said and Y/n laughed as she stood up. I then picked her up, carried her into the kitchen, and set her on the counter.

"You're funny." She said. I chuckled as I began to make her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

"Thank you baby. Do you want to know another reason why I'm letting the live stream continue even though we're not talking with the fans?" I asked. Y/n nodded.

"Yeah." She said.

"Because you get hate all of the time saying that you're with me for my money and things like that, but I know you, and I know that that's not true. I know that you're with me because you love me for who I am as a person, not what's in my bank account. I want the fans too see that and see how in love we are and understand that you're not with me for my money." I said. Y/n nodded.

"You don't have to do that honey." She said. I stopped making the sandwich for a moment and looked at her.

"Of course I do. I don't like it when people say that stuff about you. It pisses me off." I said as I looked back at the sandwich.

"Honey look at me." Y/n said. I stood in between her legs and rested my hands on her thighs. She held my face in her hands.

"What's up my love?" I asked.

"Who cares what the haters think? We know that we're madly, crazily, deeply, insanely in love with each other, right?" She asked. I nodded.

"Yeah." I said.

"See? That's all that matters. As long as we have each other, we're good. Okay?" She asked. I nodded and when we went back over to my phone, I ended the live stream. I love my wife so much and I would do anything for her.
