Shawn's point of view

"Nice job today dude, now go home." My manager Andrew said to me as I was about to leave the studio. I smiled and nodded.

"Thank you. Yeah I'm going to go play with my little ones." I said. Everyone smiled and nodded as they waved goodbye. As I drove home, I felt excitement build. You see, back at home, I have a two and a half year old daughter, Rose Lucille Mendes, a one year old son, Jacob "Jake" Alexander Scott Mendes, and my wife, Y/n Mendes. I love the three of them with my whole heart and there's nothing that I wouldn't do for them.

I soon walked in the door and everything was quiet. That's weird. I wandered around the house, looking for my wife and kids, yet I couldn't find them. I went upstairs in mine and Y/n's bedroom and smiled at the sight in front of me. Y/n was laying in bed with Rose cuddled up against her and Jake on the other side of Rose. I walked over to them and leaned down to place a gentle kiss on Y/n's temple. In her sleep, she smiled. I walked out of the room and quietly shut the door, and went into my office, and shut that door too. I decided to do a livestream.

"Hi guys. I'm talking a bit quietly right now because my wife and kids are sleeping, so bear with me please. All right guys, ask me questions." I said.

"What's the best part of fatherhood? Um..." I was interrupted by someone knocking on my office door. "Come in!" I said, and my daughter Rose walked in. I immediately smiled and clapped my hands together.

"Daddy!" She said.

"Hi sweet pea. Daddy's doing a livestream, do you want to join me?" I asked. Rose nodded.

"Yeah." Rose said. I picked her up and put her on my lap so the fans could see her and her back was against my chest.

"I think that the best part of fatherhood is just being able to spend time with my kids and play with them and bond with them. Their happiness is my happiness so I love to see them smile. Rose, look, 98,0000 people are watching this right now." I said to my precious little girl.

"That's a lot of people Daddy." She said. I chuckled and nodded.

"It is a lot of people. Can you count up that high?" I asked. She giggled and shook her head.

"Nooo. How many fingers in that?" She asked. I laughed and shrugged.

"I don't know how many fingers that is." I said. Then I looked at the camera. "She's learning how to count on her fingers right now guys."

"Rosie girl how old are you now?" I asked. She held up three fingers.

"I'm two!" She said. I laughed as I put one of her fingers down.

"That was three. This is two." I said. She nodded.

"Oh." She said. She then started to squirm around in my lap.

"What are you doing pumpkin?" I asked.

"Down please." She requested. I set her down on the floor and watched as she started to dance. I clapped my hands together and smiled. I then grabbed my phone and turned the camera so my fans could see her dancing. She then abruptly stopped.

"Why did you stop dancing honey?" I asked.

"Because I want to sit on your lap again. Uppie?" She asked as she raised her arms up. I smiled and put my phone in the previous position that it had been in, so now it was facing me, and I picked up Rose.

"Come here my Rosie girl." I said as I picked her up. I kissed her cheek and she smiled.

"Daddy?" She asked.

"Yes Rose?" I asked.

"How much do you love Mumma?" She asked. A big, wide, smile grew on my face as I looked at a black and white photo from mine and Y/n's wedding.

"Oh honey, I love your mommy very much. When I saw her for the first time, she took my breath away with her beauty and I got lost in her eyes. Your mommy is the nicest woman ever. She's so kind and caring and she would do anything for her family and friends, but she's especially protective of you, Jakey, and I. Your mom and I are going to spend the rest of our lives together, and every single day I'm going to tell her how much I love her, which is a lot. I'm so in love with your mom. She's absolutely amazing." I said. Rose smiled.

"How much do you love me Daddy?" Rose asked. My smile grew even more as my eyes moved from my daughter on my lap to the picture on my desk of Y/n and I holding her for the first time after she was born.

"Oh Rosie, I love you more than anything in this world. You, your mommy, and your brother are my whole entire world. My whole heart is dedicated to you guys. Did you know that I cried when I found out that you were in Mommy's belly?" I asked. Rose shook her head.

"No. But Daddy you don't cry." She said. I looked at my beautiful daughter.

"Well, I do cry sometimes, it's just not that often. But I was very happy to hear that I was going to have a little one, so when your mom told me that she was pregnant with you, I cried." I explained.

"Did you cry when you found out about Jakey?" Rose asked. I nodded.

"Yup. I was very excited to hear that we were going to have another baby so I started crying. And then I cried when I got to hold you guys for the first time." I said. Rose nodded. Then, there was a knock at the door.

"Come in!" Rose said, causing me to smile. My wife opened the door and my smile widened.

"Hi. Did we wake you?" I asked my wife as she sat down in the chair next to my desk. The fans weren't able to see her. She shook her head.

"No. I've been awake since Rosie got out of bed and then I saw that you were doing a livestream so I've been watching it." Y/n said. I smiled.

"Is Jakey still sleeping?" I asked. Y/n nodded.

"Yeah." She said. I nodded.

"You know, Mrs. Mendes, I never got a kiss." I said with a smirk. Y/n laughed.

"You want me to kiss you when you have tens of thousands of people watching your live stream?" She asked. I nodded.

"Yes. I want you to kiss me all the time babe." I said. Y/n blushed, causing me to chuckle. Y/n then stood up and gave me a kiss. I felt my heart race as if I had just run a marathon, I felt sparks shoot through my body like fireworks, and I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my stomach. We soon pulled away and smiled at each other.

"Better?" She asked.

"Much." I said, causing my wife to giggle. My heart fluttered.

"Mommy I'm hungry." Rose said.

"Well let's get you something to eat then." Y/n said as she picked Rose up off my lap and carried her out of the room. I smiled at the live stream.

"Well, I'm going to go spend some time with my loves, my sweets. I love you guys, bye." I said before ending the live stream. I went into my room to see that Jake was awake.

"Daddy." He said as he made grabby hands at me. I smiled and picked him up and carried him downstairs and into the kitchen where Rose and Y/n were. Y/n smiled when she saw us.

"There's my two favorite guys." Y/n said. With Jake still on my hip, I walked over and gave my wife a kiss on the cheek.

"I'm hungry Mumma." Jake said.

"Well how about this: you and Rose go sit on the couch and Daddy and I will make you guys some food, okay?" Y/n asked. Jake and Rose nodded and I brought them both into the living room and turned on a little kids show for them. I then went back into the kitchen and wrapped my arms around my wife from behind. She jumped for a moment but then quickly relaxed.

"I miss you today, gorgeous." I said. Y/n blushed.

"I missed you too handsome. How did your studio session go?" She said and asked.

"It went pretty well. We got a lot done." I said. Y/n nodded and I could tell that something was off.

"Well that's good." She said. I nodded and then turned her around.

"What's wrong baby girl? And please don't tell me that nothing's wrong. I know you and I can tell that something is wrong." I asked and said. Y/n sighed and started to look at my lips and rubbed my chest.

"I just, I know that you being in the studio means tour, and I know that you love what you do Shawn, I know that, but it's so hard to be away from you and the kids aren't going to like it either." Y/n said. I ducked my head down a little so she was looking me in the eyes. My heart broke when I saw the sadness in her eyes.

"Honey, if you want me to put the album on hold until the kids are older, I'm totally okay with that. Just say the word and I'll drop everything." I said. Y/n shook her head. She can be pretty stubborn at times.

"No. I don't want to be selfish and plus you're living your dream." She said as tears formed in her eyes. My heart broke.

"It wouldn't be selfish of you baby girl. My love, sure I'm living my dream career wise, but being a father is a bigger dream of mine, which you made come true and I can't thank you enough for. I can put the album on hold. I'd do anything in this whole world for you guys. Do you want me to put the album on hold baby? Be honest with me please." I pleaded. Tears fell down onto Y/n's cheeks and I felt so bad. She thought for a moment before nodding.

"Would you mind putting the album on hold? I just, the kids and I love you so much and we want more time with you." Y/n asked and said. I smiled a little and nodded.

"I'll call Andrew when we're done eating and tell him. Thank you for being honest with me honey." I said. Y/n hugged me and I hugged back.

"Um, there's another thing." Y/n said as she pulled away from the hug a little. I tilted my head to the side.

"What is it honey?" I asked. Y/n sighed and I could tell that she was nervous.

"Sorry, I'm just nervous." She said. I gently held her face in my hands and made her look me in the eyes.

"Mrs. Mendes, it's me, you don't have to be nervous. Just tell me what's on your mind." I said. She took a shaky breath and then began to speak.

"I want another baby. Just one more baby." Y/n said. I thought for a moment. It would be nice to have another baby. I smiled at my wife.

"Well, how about this weekend the kids spend some time at your mom's house and we'll try and make a baby? Does that sound good darling?" I asked. Y/n's eyes widened.

"Really?" She asked. I chuckled and nodded.

"Yup. Let's have one more baby." I said. Y/n hugged me and I hugged her back of course. Y/n and I soon finished making the kids and ourselves some food and we all sat down to eat. After we ate, I went in mine and Y/n's bedroom and shut the door so I could call Andrew. He soon picked up.

"Hey Shawn, what's up?" He asked.

"You're not going to like this, but I want to put the album on hold." I said.

"WHAT?" Andrew yelled.

"Okay, relax a little and let me explain. I'm not the same young kid that I used to be when I would record an album and then go on a world tour. I have a wife and two kids now. The kids are still learning things and I don't want to miss anything. Plus, if I were to go on tour soon, that would leave my wife all alone with two little kids to take care of. I need to be there for her." I explained. I heard Andrew sigh.

"Fine. Okay. We'll put the album on hold until further notice." Andrew said.

"Thank you man." I said with a smile.

"You're welcome." He said. We said goodbye and hung up. I went back downstairs where Y/n was playing with the kids. I smiled at the sight and the sounds of my children laughing. Rose soon spotted me.

"Come play with us Daddy." Rose said. I smiled.

"I'm coming sweet pea." I said as I walked over to them. Y/n smiled at me.

"What did Andrew say?" She asked.

"He got upset at first but then when I explained it to him and told him that I have a wife and two kids now, he agreed to put the album on hold until further notice." I said. Y/n nodded. Soon, Jake and Rose decided to play some game with each other. I watched them and then looked over at my wife, who was also watching them. I reached over and pulled her onto my lap. She squealed, causing me to laugh.

"You scared me!" She said with a laugh. She let her back rest against my chest and I wrapped my arms around her torso.

"Sorry honey." I said.

"It's okay. I already talked to my mom and she said that she can take the kids on Friday and keep them until Monday morning." Y/n said. I smiled.

"Good. That gives us quite a bit of time to make a baby." I whispered in Y/n's ear. She giggled, causing my heart to flutter.

"I love you Shawn." Y/n said. I kissed her cheek, causing her smile to widen.

"I love you too Y/n." I said. That Friday, Y/n and I dropped the kids off at their grandmother's house and went home to make love. I really hope that we get pregnant because I would absolutely love to have another baby in the house.

One month later

I woke up the feeling of my wife rushing out of my arms. When I opened my eyes, she was running into the bathroom and then I heard her get sick. I got up and quickly walked into the bathroom so I could rub her back as she emptied her stomach. As soon as she was done puking and had wiped her mouth, she looked at me.

"Shawn, do you think that I'm pregnant?" She asked.

"I hope so. Do you want me to go out and buy some pregnancy tests?" I asked. She nodded. I soon left and came back with three pregnancy tests. Y/n took them and then we waited. When the timer beeped, Y/n and I checked the tests and looked at each other with tears in our eyes.

"We're pregnant." She whispered. I smiled and pulled her in for a hug. Eight months later, Sarah Grace Mendes was born. I'm so happy and I can't wait for the day that she interrupts my live streams too.
