127. Hammock
A/n: okay so this has mentions of smut but I didn't go into detail. anyways, please enjoy. let's begin!
Two days ago, I married my best friend, my soul mate, my everything, the singer and songwriter Shawn Peter Raul Mendes. Shawn is the man that changed me from Y/n Y/l/n to Y/n Mendes. I smiled at the memory of him sliding my wedding ring onto my finger - the ring that I will never, ever take off. I opened my eyes and looked at my ring as I smiled and admired it. I felt someone rubbing my back and looked up to see my handsome husband staring at me as he smiled.
"Good morning Mrs. Mendes." Shawn said. My new name caused my heart to flutter and I smiled.
"Good morning Mr. Mendes." I said.
"You started smiling before you even opened your eyes and then you looked at your wedding ring. What were you think about my love?" Shawn asked. I blushed, having been caught in the act of admiring my gorgeous ring.
"I was thinking about when you put the ring on my finger during the ceremony and then when I opened my eyes I was admiring it. It's so beautiful and I'm never, ever, ever going to take it off." I said to Shawn with a smile. He wrapped his other arm around me and kissed my forehead.
"I love that memory too, and you better not take it off!" Shawn said with a laugh. The sound of his laugh made my heart flutter as I laughed too. I snuggled my face into his chest and placed a gentle kiss there as he kissed the top of my head.
"Last night was amazing Shawny." I said as I looked back up at him and smiled. His smile widened as he looked at me and nodded.
"It really was Y/n. Are you sore or anything?" Shawn said and asked. I shook my head no.
I had decided a long time ago that I wanted to make sure that I was with the right guy first before I had sex, so I waited until I was married. When Shawn and I first started to go out, I was nervous to tell him this since I knew that he had had sex in the past, but he was very understanding and said that I'll set the pace, he'll just keep up. On our first night of our honeymoon, I gave my body to Shawn. He could tell that I was nervous, but I was ready. He was very gentle and he took care of me, repeatedly asking me if he was hurting me and if I was okay. I reassured him that I was fine, and eventually the pain turned to pleasure, and we had an amazing night.
"Nope. Not sore it all. Do you think that um, well, did you really think that it was amazing?" I asked Shawn. He frowned and started to rub my cheek with his thumb.
"Of course baby. You did great. Why do you ask that Y/n?" Shawn asked.
"Well, I know that you've had sex with girls before we started dating and I just don't want you to feel like I wasn't good enough or something." I said, looking away from his eyes.
"Mrs. Mendes, please look me in the eyes." Shawn said, and I did. "You were fantastic. Please don't compare yourself to the girls in my past, because I'm not comparing you to anybody. You are you, nobody else. I could tell that you were in pain but you took it like a champ and told me to keep going, and I'm so proud of you for that. Please don't compare yourself to anyone else, my love."
"Okay. Thank you for being so gentle and taking care of me last night." I said with a smile. Shawn smiled back at me.
"You're welcome. Thank you for trusting me enough to take your virginity." Shawn said.
"I trust you more than I trust anyone else in this world. There's no one else I would rather have make love to me." I said. Shawn laughed.
"There better not be!" Shawn said, causing me to laugh.
"Do you, um, do you think that we could do more of it today?" I asked nervously. Shawn placed a gentle kiss on my lips and then smiled at me while nodding.
"Of course Y/n. And listen, I never want you to feel nervous about asking me if we can have sex, okay? I'm your husband now, you can ask me anything that you want." Shawn said. I smiled at him.
"Okay. I love you hubby." I said. Shawn's smile grew.
"I love you too wifey." Shawn said. Shawn grabbed a condom and, well, you know what happened next. After a few hours of that, Shawn and I stopped. He was nervous that if we did it too much, he would hurt me or something. I put my head on his chest before admiring my ring again.
"That was amazing." I said. Shawn chuckled.
"Yeah, it was. Hey, I just realized that we haven't had breakfast yet. Want to go down and get something to eat?" Shawn asked. I nodded and got dressed. Shawn and I were in Hawaii for our honeymoon, so we dressed in shorts and t-shirts. Shawn took my hand as he led me down to the hotel lobby. His touch felt electrifying yet safe, inviting, and warm. Luckily the hotel still had breakfast out, so we grabbed some food and sat down. Soon, a teenage girl came up to us.
"Hi, I'm really sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to say that I'm a big fan of yours and congratulations on getting married! The pictures that you guys posted on Instagram were so beautiful." The girl said. Shawn and I smiled.
"Thank you so much. Do you want a picture?" Shawn said and asked. The girl's eyes widened.
"Really?" She asked. Shawn nodded.
"Yeah." He said. They took a picture together, she thanked him, and then walked away. Shawn and I then turned back to each other while we ate.
"That was so sweet. I can't wait to see all of our wedding photos, especially the ones from our first dance." I said with a smile. Shawn smiled and nodded too.
"Yeah. Personally, I can't wait to see the candids, especially the ones of just us." Shawn said. I smiled and nodded.
"Yeah. Are you all done eating?" I asked Shawn as he pushed away his plate. He nodded.
"Yeah. Are you?" He asked. I nodded.
"Yup. Want to head back up to our hotel room?" I asked Shawn with a smirk. He laughed and nodded. We went back to our hotel room and made love some more. Afterwards, we laid in our bed admiring each other.
"You're so beautiful." Shawn whispered. I blushed.
"And you're so handsome." I said, causing Shawn to blush. He looked out at our view and pointed at something.
"Oh Mrs. Mendes?" He asked. I smiled.
"Yes Mr. Mendes?" I asked.
"There's a hammock out there. Should we get dressed and go lay in it?" Shawn asked, a twinkle in his eyes. I nodded.
"Yes!" Shawn cheered as he got out of our hotel bed. He went over to the floor where our clothes had been discarded as I sat up, but I couldn't help but admire him and his gorgeous body. I practically started to drool but was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Shawn chuckle.
"What?" I asked.
"Do you need a tissue for that drool babe?" He asked. I blushed as I went over where my clothes were on the floor and picked them up to get dressed.
"I can't help it! You're just so... ugh... you should get People magazine's sexiest man alive, because that's what you are." I told him, causing him to throw his head back with laughter. He pulled me close so he could kiss my forehead and then took my hand to lead me out to the hammock. He didn't speak until we got comfy in the hammock.
"You know, you could totally get sexiest woman alive." Shawn said with a smirk. I smacked his chest lightly, causing him to laugh, but then put my head on his chest and listened to his soothing heartbeat. Shawn started to rub my back and I closed my eyes, enjoying the relaxing feeling. We laid there, our legs tangled up together, in a comfortable silence for a few moments. I then rolled over so I was on my back, causing Shawn to move his hand.
"Give me your hand for a second please baby." I requested.
"Why?" Shawn asked. I ignored the funny look that Shawn was giving me and his question as he gave me his large left hand. I interlaced my left hand with his, so our wedding rings were right next to each other, and smiled as I rubbed them together.
"We're married." I whispered, more to myself that to Shawn, as I continued to stare at our rings. It was at that moment that it hit me - somehow it didn't hit me yesterday, or even the day before when we actually got married - that I married my best friend, the person who basically knows me better than I know myself. I felt Shawn wrap his other arm around me and pull me even closer to him - which I didn't know was possible - yet I still continued to stare at his silver wedding band and my diamond ring. Shawn's right hand suddenly came up to my face and he wiped away a tear that I didn't even know had slipped out.
"What's wrong my love?" Shawn asked me.
"We're married." I repeated in a whisper. Shawn turned my face so I was looking at him.
"Why is that making you cry?" Shawn asked, a look of what could be considered panic etched across his face.
"I'm just so happy. Like, I got to marry my best friend, my soulmate, my rock, my everything. I got to marry the person who knows me better than anyone in this whole entire world, who even knows me better than I know myself. I guess it's just kind of hitting me right now that we're really married and I get to spend the rest of my life with you." I said, still crying some happy tears. Shawn's look of panic washed away and he smiled at me as he helped to wipe away the tears.
"I'm really happy too. I'm like, over the moon, out of this world happy." Shawn said with a chuckle. I snuggled my face into his chest as I let my hand finally let go of his and wrap around him instead. "You know me better than anyone in this world too, and that includes myself. You're my best friend and soulmate and my everything too. I loved putting that ring on your finger and I loved it when you put my ring on me. I love you Mrs. Mendes."
"I love you too Mr. Mendes. I loved those moments too." I said as I looked up at him. He kissed my forehead, then my nose, then my lips, and I felt all of those magical feelings that I always feel. I felt my heart race as if it was going to beat out of my chest, I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my stomach, and I felt sparks shootout like fireworks throughout my body. I smiled into the kiss, and Shawn did too, causing us to pull away. We were left breathless from the amazing kiss.
"Do you want to go inside or do you want to stay out here honey?" Shawn asked as he rubbed my sides.
"Would you mind if we stayed out here in the hammock for a bit longer?" I asked. Shawn smiled and shook his head.
"Not at all." He said. He laid on his back so I could put my head on his chest and he could rub my back. I closed my eyes.
"The sun feels nice." I said after a bit.
"Yeah, it does." Shawn said, agreeing with me. I looked up at him and then stared at his lips as he looked straight ahead. I then took my index finger and traced his lips, causing him to smile and look at me.
"These lips are mine." I said. Shawn's smile grew and he nodded.
"They're all yours honey. And, by the way, your lips are mine." He said. I smiled and nodded.
"All yours." I said. His smile grew.
"Kiss me." He whispered. I instantly put my lips on his, and I could tell from this kiss that he was hungry for me. I felt his hand go down to my bum and squeeze, causing me to gasp. He took that opportunity to put his tongue in my mouth and moaned. This went on for a minute or two before I pulled away and saw that his eyes were dark with lust and hunger.
"Why don't we go inside and finish this?" I asked Shawn.
"What about right here?" Shawn asked. My eyes widened.
"One: we don't have condoms because they're inside. Two: people could see us!" I said.
"Fine." Shawn sighed. I got out of the hammock first and soon felt a pair of arms pick me up and carry me to the bed. I giggled as Shawn laid me down and we discarded our clothing.
"I love you Shawn." I said. He stopped and smiled at me.
"I love you too Y/n." He said and then resumed his actions. We had a fun honeymoon and we actually spent a lot of time laying in the hammock. I'm so glad that I'm married to Shawn. He makes me the happiest woman alive.
