Shawn's P.O.V

I was finally coming home after a long run on the road with tour and press and interviews. I was so excited to see my family again, especially Y/N. Me and her had been friends forever and I had feelings for her.

I didn't want to wreck our friendship but I knew if I didn't say anything it would kill me inside. Walking towards my car once I had all my luggage I unlocked it and threw all my things inside.

Hoping in the car I started it up and headed towards home. Driving the highways to make it home quicker my mom started calling me.

"Hi Shawn, I assume you've landed?" my mom asked as I picked up.

"Hey mom! and yeah i'm just on my way home now" I smiled even though she couldn't see me.

"that's great Shawn, Y/N is over by the way. We invited her for dinner and then to watch a movie" my mom said.

"great! i'll be home in about twenty see you soon mom, love you"

"see you soon Shawn love you"

Hanging up the call with my mom I continued driving home. Smiling once I pulled into the driveway I left all my luggage in the car and went up to the front door. Opening it I called out to my family.

"I'm home!" I yelled.

Seeing Aaliyah round the corner with my parents and Y/N following her I smiled as Liyah jumped into my arms. Swinging her around I laughed.

"Missed you Liyah!" I set her back down on the ground.

"Miss you to Shawn!" she backed up letting my parents hug me.

"Y/N!" I felt my stomach drop with nerves.

Since when was I nervous in front of her.

"Hey Shawn, I missed you!" she hugged me quickly.

After we had eaten dinner and watched the movie everyone had gone to bed and me and Y/N we're still up. Sitting on the couch next to each other just watching Brooklyn 99.

"Shawn?" Y/N asked me.

"yeah Y/N?"

"can I tell you something?"

"of course" I paused the show and faces her.

"Well I'm just going to blurt it out and then whatever happens after happens" she sighed. "I like you Shawn, as more than a friend"

Sitting for a second I smiled.

"I like you to Y/N, and I have for a while"

Pulling her towards me I kissed her slowly and then pulled back. It was short but sweet. Smiling I couldn't contain my happiness.

Watching as Y/N leaned into me she nestled herself into my side. Running my hand up and down her side I could feel her breathing slow, eventually falling asleep myself.

"oops" I heard someone laugh and run away.

Opening my eyes I looked over and saw Aaliyah running away with her phone in her hand. Seeing Y/N rubbing her eyes next to me she smiled at me.

"morning" she yawned.

"good morning babe" my cheeks heating up saying that to her.

"Did you two fall asleep on the couch?" my mom asked walking down the stairs.

"yeah" I laughed a little.

My mom just shook her head a little and walked away into the kitchen I could tell she was smiling.
