Katie's POV

I was going to Shawn's concert to surprise him, as he had been away from home for a few weeks and I missed him.

I was waiting for him in his dressing room. I had this feeling of unease inside me, and I wasn't sure why. I brush it off and Shawn walks in.

"Katie? What are you doing here?" He runs up to me and engulfs me into a hug. I wrap my arms around his neck, rubbing my thumb against the hairs near his neck.

"I wanted to surprise you." I smile, caressing his cheek. We hug again, him letting me hold him.

"Can we stay like this forever?" He asks, head in my neck.

"After your show honey." I put my hand on his cheek, and he leans his head against it, smiling.

"Are you okay?" He asks, the smile disappearing, being replaced by worry.

"Yeah. I'm fine. Good luck!" I plant a kiss on his cheek and he runs on stage.

Shawn's POV

I think there is something wrong with my girlfriend, Katie. She seems distant, but I had to do this show so I couldn't talk to her.

"Miami what's up!" I shout and the crowd cheers. "This one's called A Little Too Much."

I begin singing. I changed the order of my setlist so I could sing this first.

"She would not show that she was afraid,
But being and feeling alone was too much to face,
Though everyone said that she was so strong,
What they didn't know is that she could barely carry on,

I finish and look at Katie in the eyes. Tears were falling from her eyes, her eyes darting about to find someone to help her.

"I'll be back one sec." I say into the mike before running to Katie.

"Shawn..." her breathing became more erratic and I lift her up, her legs wrap around my waist.

"Keep breathing... I'm going to help you." I take her to my dressing room and sir her on the sofa. "Breath with me sweetie. I'm right here." I whisper into her ear. "Come here honey." I pull her into my lap, rocking her from side to side.

I begin singing 'Hold On' into her ear, desperately trying to calm her down.

"Hold on. It'll be over soon." I take my hands through her hair, and her breathing returns to normal. "Drink this." I pass her some water to drink.

I sit next to Katie and her head falls to my shoulder. My arms go around her shoulder, holding her close to me.

"Thank you Shawn. I was just really stressed for some reason." She explains.

"Its okay. These things happen, but next time please tell me when you're like this. Its my duty to take care of you. You're my world and I love you." I give her a passionate kiss, stroking her cheek.

"I love you Shawn and thanks." She holds my waist tight. "You have a show to finish."

"Oh yeah... are you going to be okay? Oh I have an idea! You can sit at the side of the stage so I can keep my eye on you."

"That's sweet of you." She says in my ear as I carry my princess to the side of the stage.
