Mental Health Rant
So basically I have moderate anxiety and mild depression. And I just wanna say a few things which have been annoying me recently.
1. If I ever leave a lesson its serious - I don't have social anxiety like its triggered by stress due to school and home life which hasn't been great recently, if you have read the last few imagines that'll tell you why as its based on me.
2. Don't EVER say you're depressed when you are sad or down. Trust me, when I was 13/14/15/16 basically I would go through happy and sad times. Everyone gets them - its normal. But then my situation changed, and now I can honestly say that there is a HUGE difference between being sad or upset and being depressed.
3. Anxiety CAN'T be cured by just 'not worrying'. Depression cannot be cured by 'not being sad' or 'cheering up'. Saying that is pretty much like telling someone who's bleeding heavily to 'stop bleeding' - it doesn't work like that physically so why should it work like that mentally?
4. Just be kind. You have NO IDEA what that person may have gone through earlier, or what they may be going through. Your positive comment could make their day. Most importantly, don't discriminate towards people because they are different. Whatever your sexuality, gender, ethnicity, religion or appearance may be, or just simply because they dress differently, you deserve to be treated equally.
