Shawn's POV

I'm on my way to my girlfriend Ashley's house with her favourite flowers and some chocolate, as we had a fight and because she kind of...well forced me to sleep with her. But she was apologetic about it so I forgave her.

I get there and open the door as I have a key. I go into her room and see something - Ashley in bed with another guy. The things I'm holding just fall from my hands and I'm in awe.

"Shawn...we need to talk" Ashley says, quickly putting a long T Shirt on.

"No we don't" I turn around and she comes infront of me.

"Let me explain!"

"Go on. Explain." I fold my arms.

"I'm going to be honest, Shawn. I...I just never loved you." Her words sting my heart like alcohol on a deep wound.

"Goodbye, Ashley." I say to her, before leaving. I run to Y/N's house, tears falling from my eyes. She's my best friend and neighbour.

Your POV

I hear a knocking on the door. It was Shawn. I take a closer look at him - he was crying.

"Hey what's the matter darling?" Shawn was my ride or die - we did everything together, and told each other our deepest secrets, but he's been a little off recently; its like a light inside him has turned off. I grab his arm and walk him to the sofa and sit him down, and then pull him into a tight embrace.

"She...she cheated on me..." he sobs into my shoulder. I feel anger in me - how could Ashley do that to Shawn? He's legitimately the nicest guy.

"I'm gonna hunt her down and kill her!" I whisper - shout into his ear. I knew him so well, but there was something he wasn't telling me. He'd been upset a few times before this and I know something is up. "Look at me Shawn." I cup his cheeks. "Something else is up."

"She...she"

"What Shawn? What did she do?" I ask, concern in my voice.

"She...forced me into doing stuff..." the poor thing begins to sob. I pull him into my arms and take my fingers through his hair.

"Shawn, like sex?" He nods and I'm completely shocked. "Did you say no?"

"I...I said no...but she made me. Told me she...would l...leave me." He explained. She raped my Mendes!

"Shawn come here." I pull his shaking body into my arms and he cries and cries. How could someone be so cruel and hearless? We break the hug, and I take him to my bedroom. "I'll get you a drink." I got a glass of milk and a banana from the kitchen and give it to him.

"I'm tired" He lies down in bed, and I get in with him. He begins to cry again.

"Come here sweetie pie." He rests his head on my chest and I wrap my arms around him protectively. "Forget about that bitch. If you need support I'll be there but I'd recommend that you see someone professional if it affects you mentally." I explain. Something like rape can have a huge impact on someone as its a huge event for someone to go through.

"Can...can I stay with you tonight?" He asks so innocently.

"Of course you can. You need some rest hunny. Lets get you to sleep my angel." I plant a kiss on his forehead and he nuzzles his head into my chest. I play with his curls as he drifts off to sleep.

Just thought I'd cover a rape topic. I've luckily never had this happen to me but it should be addressed more - rape is having sex with someone without consent. Just because they are drunk and say yes, or are pressured into it, or say no and are forced into it IT IS RAPE. And people need to understand that. I have heard of so many young people getting pressured into sex. That is RAPE and it needs to stop.
