Rylee's POV

I'm spending the day with Shawn at his parent's house. Its 10am and I wake up. Shawn is still asleep, head on my shoulder. He feels safe like that and I found it cute how he found comfort in me.

I decide to wake him as I wanted to go out later. I begin caressing his cheek and he opens his eyes.

"Morning." I lean down and kiss his cheek. I knew something was up with him. "What's up?" I move some hair out of his eyes.

"My arm hurts." He complains and I help him sit.

"Here. Does this help?" I massage his bicep area and he shakes his head.

"I'm going to eat... maybe it'll help."

We go downstairs and I make Shawn some toast. I then hear a huge scream coming from the living room - it was Shawn.

"Shawn!" I drop everything and run into the living room and Shawn was curled up on the floor in pain. Karen came running in, followed by Aaliyah.

"My chest... oh my god!" He shouts, breathing getting faster.

"Aaliyah... ambulance NOW!" I yell at the top of my voice and I help Shawn sit straight as he was coughing and wheezing. His head kept falling to my shoulder and I had to force him to sit up straight.

"Deep breaths baby." Karen tries to calm Shawn but nothing was helping. He then began throwing up, and we let him be sick on the floor as we could see how bad his condition was.

The paramedics arrive instantly and put an oxygen mask on Shawn. They then insert a needle into his arm.

"This is blood thinning medication." I instantly knew what had happened - Shawn was having a heart attack. He was rushed into an ambulance and I went with him. I reach out and hold his hand, trying desperately to calm him.

"Rylee..." he says before losing consciousness, just as we arrive at the hospital.

"Miss we need you to sit here for a bit." A doctor tells me, looking stressed. This wasn't good. I tug on my hair and fall to my knees, wondering if Shawn would make it.

Around half an hour later, a doctor approaches me.

"Shawn had a heart attack, probably caused by extremely severe stress." (A/N this probs isn't accurate) I sigh in relief, even though this was serious. The fact that he was even alive was amazing.

"What's the treatment?"

"Medication... er blood thinning medication, so he will be in ICU for a few days. We will keep him in hospital for a few days maybe a week or so just to be careful."

"Can I see him?" The doctor shows me into a room full of machines, and Shawn was in the middle. He was shirtless, with various stickers attached to him. He had an oxygen mask on, and was connected to a heart monitor and an IV drip.

I couldn't recognise him. 

Two hours ago I'd woke him up and his arm was hurting.

Now he was barely alive.

I sit by his side and take his hand in mine. I felt his hand tighten, and I see tears brim in his eyes.

"Hey please don't cry." I smile at him and move a curl out of his eyes. I caress his cheek in a comforting way.

"I..." Shawn begun to speak but I stopped him.

"You need to rest darling."

"What happened?" He asks.

"You..." I hesitate at first, but continue. "You had a heart attack." Shawn's eyes fill with tears and I lean down and kiss his cheek. "Its okay... we are all here for you. You're going to be in pain for a while but we can give you something for that." I kiss his forehead and let him rest for a while. "Sleep tight sweetie." I whisper in his ear as he falls asleep.
