I had just got back from a long day of shopping for Shawn and I's new house (we bought a house as our apartment was only small) and was now cooking dinner for my boyfriend Shawn. I decided to make him a roast dinner as that's his favourite.

I had just finished putting the meat in the oven when Shawn came home. I was exhausted.

"Hey, how was your day?" I ask him sweetly.

"Fine." He said back, sounding a little annoyed. Maybe he was just tired.

"Is it okay if you chop the vegetables?"  I politely ask. He glares at me like I had asked him to do a massive favour.

"Do I have to? I'm tired." He moaned. I roll my eyes at him.

"Please, I've still got to wash the breakfast dishes and clean our room." I plead.

"I've just had a long day and I'm tired!" He snaps.

"So have I!"

"Yeah, you've been shopping Isabelle, I've seen your snapchats." He scoffed. I began to get pissed.

"I went shopping for our new house. Its not like I've been doing nothing!"

"I do everything around here - I bring the cash in!" Right that was it. He over stepped the line. I quit my day job as a teacher as Shawn's job began having an impact on his mental health, and he'd think too much when he was alone so I decided to spend more time with him to cheer him up.

"Im leaving." I grab my jacket and my phone.

"Isabelle wait I didn't..." I'd slammed the door shut by this point so didn't hear him. I decided to go to my mum's house for the night.

Shawn's POV

I can't believe I just said that to Isabelle - she quit her job for me and now I've just caused the girl of my dreams, the one who dropped everything for me, to leave. I decide to do something special for her so if she decides to come back she has a surprise.

I go out to the jewellery store and spot a beautiful engagement ring. Is it time? Well she's done so much for me - every time I come home tired, stressed or upset from work, Isabelle is there to comfort me, to tell me it's okay, to rock me to sleep. I decide to buy her the ring.

When I get home, its nearly 11pm. I clean up the house until its spotless. I write a note, saying

Dearest Isabelle

I'm very sorry for not just the way I treated you last night, but for not being grateful to you. If you find it in your big heart to forgive me, I have something for you.

I take a picture of the note and send it to her. She views it instantly, but doesn't respond. My heart breaks as I get into bed, alone.

Isabelle's POV

I leave my mother's house at around 10 30am. Shawn sent me a note yesterday, I did find it pretty cute and romantic the way he wrote it and sent it to me instead of typing it out. I park up and he's waiting for me at the door of the apartment building. He smiles at me. I keep a straight face, I also notice the huge bags under his eyes, the redness in his cheeks.

"I'm so so sorry. I've been thinking just how amazing you have been to me - you fricken gave up for job for me and I wasn't greatful for it, but I am now." He kneels down. Oh my God - he's proposing!

"Yesyesyes!" I instantly pull him into my arms and take my hand through his hair.

"I didn't even ask!" He laughs.

"You don't need to." I kiss him for what seems like an eternity.
