Hayden didn't know what do but after talking to Betty, he decided to go to the party he was invited to by his dad. His car parked in front of the familiar Matthews mansion he called home back then. He noticed that they had made some improvements on it. Hayden knew his dad so well, he knew that the old man wanted living a luxurious life so he wasn't surprised with the new improvements on their Mansion. He turned and looked at Alison "Baby you are going to meet grandpa and grandma today"

Alison's face broke into a wide grin "Yes daddy, aunt Betty showed their pictures to me"

Hayden laughed "Yes and be a good girl plus make sure you don't get out of my sight." He cupped her small face in his big palms "okay"

"Yes daddy" He planted a kiss on her fore head , he opened the front door and he moved out of the car. He ran to the other side and he helped Alison out.

He caught her small hands in his hands and they walked to the front door. He pushed the door open and he was welcomed by a beautiful decor. Everything was perfectly decorated. Tables and chairs filled the room. Ladies extravagantly clad in their dresses  and men in their expensive suits gave the atmosphere an expensive aura.

"Oh My God , Jesus Christ !!!!!! Am I seeing Hayden Matthews !!!!??" A excited high feminine  voice came from his behind .

He turned around and his eyes widened , he was surprised by the person before him"Hey Aubrey Parker"

The elegantly dressed lady rolled her eyes playfully "I can't believe it Hayden, Oh My God you are something else..you disappeared and you left no trace." She then closed the gap between them with brief side hug.

Hayden smiled "Umm I am sorry Aubrey but I had to, how have you been?"

Aubrey's face saddened "Shouldn't I be the one asking you that? After what happened to you I mean" She  swallowed nervously "Well I am doing fine "

Hayden just shrugged and he introduced Alison to her .

"I am so sorry Hayden , she even left a daughter, a lovely one , she just looks like her and_"

"Aubrey please not now, not in front of her " Hayden cut her off immediately.

"Ohh I am so sorry , I mean
.umm okay I have to go, my husband is waiting for me, it was nice seeing you again, we will talk later, bye" She then walked off and she disappeared into the crowd.

Hayden lifted Alison up and placed her on his right hip" Are you okay my baby"

Alison hugged  his neck "Yes Daddy, I am excited to meet Grandpa and Grandma."

Hayden tugged a strand of hair behind her ears "Of course let's go and meet  them now."

"Yes daddy" She rejoiced.

Being familiar with the place, he went to the place where his mother might be and true he found her in the back yard with some lady , they were in a deep conversation laughing out loud.
Back then when he was still young, his mother had a strong addiction for the back yard because of the nice scent that came out of the flowers. Her efforts were all in this place and it was not a surprise to him that it looked breathtaking as it was back then.

His heart hammered in his chest with each step he made towards his mother, he didn't even remember the last time he talked to her.

Out of motherly instincts , Mrs Lauren  lifted up her eyes only them to land on her son, many emotions passed through her face, she couldn't believe what her eyes had seen, she closed them for a moment and she opened them again only to realise that it wasn't a dream, her son was only five feet apart from her, tears of joy cascaded down her cheeks,she could get a hold of her emotions, she was happy , she was sad, she was guilty, at that moment she was everything. She wiped her tears continuously but they continued to rain from her eyes.

She stood up and she made small strides towards Hayden. Immediately  Hayden put Alison down first and he also walked towards his mother , their gazes only focused on each other, it was like they had shut out the world and it was only them. When they closed the gap between them, the two embraced each other into a tight warm passionate hug. A son mother hug.

"Mother" Hayden cried out as he tightened the hug more. The two were all a crying mess that time. Truth to be told also Hayden missed his mother, he missed the lady who had given him life so much.

The two held each other and after a while Hayden's mother looked up at him with tears in her eyes "I just can't believe it , Hayden_" She then began crying again.

"Mom, I am here, that's what matters" Hayden said as he wiped away the tears on her wet cheeks.

"Promise me you won't disappear now that you are back again " She asked with hope in her voice.

"Mom_"

"Hayden please" She pleaded softly.

Hayden caught her hands in his "Don't worry mom, we will talk about everything later now" His lips curved upwards  a bit "Let me introduce you to the person who never slept yesterday because she knew she was to visit you."

He looked at Alison "Mom,meet my daughter Alison Matthews, Alison meet your grandmother"

Mrs Lauren's mouth opened widely , she couldn't believe the little girl opposite Hayden was her granddaughter, of course she knew that she had a grand daughter but she didn't know she was this adorable, she had long and shining black hair and pretty big eyes.

"Aww" she bent down and she hugged Alison, she held her face in her palms and she planted a kiss on her fore head.  "Hey Alison "

Alison covered her face shyly "Hey"

Mrs Lauren laughed "Don't be shy in front of grandma"

Alison looked at her and what she asked her next surprised both her and Hayden "Should I call you Grandma pretty?"

Even at the age of 50, Mrs Lauren looked healthy and pretty. She never had wrinkles on her pretty face, she wore makeup just like those days when Hayden was still a boy, she was always complimented that she was a pretty woman, and after she gave birth to Hayden, everyone said that she had transfered her beauty to her son, Hayden looked more like his mother.

Mrs Lauren looked over at Hayden with joy in her eyes, her own grand daughter had asked her to call her "Grandma Pretty" what a great honour.
She looked at her admiringly  and she said "Its okay Alison, and I will call you my little princess"

"Really ? " Alison asked in excitement.

"Of course darling" Mrs Lauren agreed.

"Hayden , we should go inside the party is about to start, I think everyone has arrived plus Heather is also there." She looked firmly at him as she said the last words her emphasis on the name "Heather"

Hayden just nodded slightly, he caught Alison's hand and they went back inside.

The room was now full, with many people compared to the way it had been earlier when they had just arrived, Hayden's eyes studied the crowd looking for that particular face but it was no where to be seen. People would drop by and say "Hi" to him, like who would not, he was one of the top known successful lawyers and the  business world with lawyers are inseparable.

Alison poked his arm.

"Daddy I am hungry and I want to pee" She whispered to him.

People had started to concentrate in their seats but a few were still loitering around meaning the ceremony was to start in the next few minutes.

Hayden carried her and he took her first to the ladies room after he decided to get her something to eat. Their mansion being huge, they had their house kitchen and that they used when his dad had organised a party at home.

Hayden went to their house kitchen and what he found there left him in surprise.
