Do you know that if you really care about someone you can't get sleep when your instincts keep on telling you that something bad might have happened to him or her. Well that explains Ashley, she wasn't able to go back to sleep after the call she received earlier from Emily, she paced in her room, bit her lower mouth roughly , rubbed hands in her face, called Emily' s phone which turned out to be switched off, she did everything to get in touch in with her but it was all in a vain.

What the hell had happened to Emily?

She thought about calling the police but what could she even tell them?
She went and curled her body facing the window, she got lost in her own thoughts and that is how the morning light rays found her, they penetrated through the window and they illuminated the room, the view was breathtakingly beautiful. She stood up and she went to the kitchen to do her morning routine.

After she went to Emma's bedroom to wake her up " Sunshine wake up" She caressed cheeks lovingly.
Emma's eyes blinked "Good morning mommy" she planted a kiss on Ashley's cheeks.

" Now wake up and prepare for school, your clothes for today are on the hanger in the wardrobe and I have already warmed up for your water. " Emma nodded with a smile.

Ashley clapped her hands " Alright then wake up" She sent a flying kiss in Emma's direction which she returned and she headed to her room to also prepare her self for the day.

After each and everything, she took Emma at school and she also continued to work, she decided to also go at the coffee shop for Hayden's morning coffee for once, she was tired and her body felt so weak basing on the fact that she never got enough sleep. She played for the coffee and she entered the building, as usual choruses of good morning filled the room, everyone was just making it in from their homes, the atmosphere felt so comfortable and friendly but Ashley still felt uneasy, she was not aware of Emily's whereabouts.

She opened the elevator , pressed level seven, she leaned her head back against the elevator walls and automatically her eyes closed, every part of her body ached, her head ached even more . She massaged her temples continuously as the elevator ascended to level seven. She opened her eyes when she heard the beep sound of the elevator, she feebly walked to her office. She checked any mails for Hayden on her PC and there wasn't none. She then headed to his office to take take there his coffee.

Hayden was in his spirits, he was happy because he had spent some time with his daughter, just the thought of the memory made his lips to curve into a smile. As he made a trip down the memory lane, a light knock at the door snapped him back to reality.

"Come in " he replied instantly.

Ashley entered and when Hayden took her appearance in, he was shocked the lady had dark circles under her eyes, she looked pale and tired, in simple terms she didn't look fine at all.
He narrowed his eyes at her figuring her out.

Ashley sent a weak smile in his way "Good morning sir"

Hayden smiled.

"Is it really a good morning " he asked seriously.

Ashley looked at her, was he trying to say that she wasn't fine, he was the one who said that minding her own business was not an option, it was compulsory.

Now was he trying to figure out her mood.
Since she had not been at the job for long, Ashley didn't know whether she would say out the truth about Emily or keep her mouth shut.
If Emily really trusted her and told her everything, then there was no point of exposing all her skeletons in the cupboard. Ashley decided to keep her mouth shut.

" Well....ummm..yes sir I _"

"Ashley is everything okay?, you don't look fine " Hayden asked in concern.
The other day when he was not feeling okay Ashley helped him and so he was also ready to do the same for her.

Ashley looked at him and then she lowered her gaze on the ground " ahh Mr Matthews nothing wrong I will figure it out"

"Well then if you need anything as far as help is concerned I am right here do not hesitate to come" Hayden told her truthfully.

"Okay sir" Ashkey agreed.
Ashley placed the coffee on the table and she got out of the office.
Hayden just watched her every move with intense gaze, because he knew something was up which she didn't want to disclose to him.

She reached her office and she sat down in her chair, even her moods of working were very down, she stared in space as her thoughts wondered in whatever territories they wanted to be in , she tapped her feet nervously. What had happened to Emily ?

Suddenly her phone rung and she picked it up , the number was not in he contact list, her heart beat increased and colour drained out of her face , she looked at the phone ringing, she was confused. She thought about Emily, maybe she had got a new phone and she was the one calling her, out of curiosity she pressed the reply button and she placed the phone on her ear.

She kept quiet and she waited the person on the receiving end to say something.

"Am I talking to Ashley Simpson" the person on the receiving end asked.

Ashley swallowed her saliva nervously "Well yeah you talking with her"

" May you please come over at the hospital there is a patient called Emily Sanchester requesting for you"

"What!!!!! Okay am on my way" Ashley hung up the phone and her face broke into a wide grin. She got her bag and she threw in her phone, she got out and she locked her office.

Wait, that is when she understood her great problem , first she was a employee and two that it was not her time to leave work. She therefore had no choice but to go to Hayden's office for permission.

She knocked on the door aggressively, her excitement was so much that she grew impatient.

Hayden was on phone talking with Betty about Alison when he heard the impatient knock on his office door, he narrowed his eyes, who could that be, before he could think of who it could be another loud and more impatient knock on the door came in. He granted whoever it was to come in.

His eyes widened as Ashley immediately threw the door opened and she hurried in , she didn't even close it behind her!!

What was wrong with this Ashley, the Ashley he knew had respect for his office.

She breathed rapidly " Mr Matthews may you please give me permission to call it off for some time today , well ....umm sir I have a patient and _"

"Its okay Ashley, go on and see your patient , I will take care of everything" Hayden cut her off.

Ashley raised her brows and her lips curved into a small smile , "Thank you Mr Matthews" She told him and she immediately stormed out of the room.

Which boss does that?

Hayden looked at her with amusement , she was caring and loving to people close to her, few people would spare their work for the sake of others. A smile found its way on his face, he really wished he knew more about her but how could he? the woman he was talking about was secretive , reserved and surprisingly quiet, strong walls difficult and hard to climb surrounded her, even when he tried to get a peep in her life, the walls had no cracks in them, she had perfectly built them.
