Reader's POV

We got to go on our first mission! I was overly excited to be outside the walls finally and I smiled as I laid my head on Eren's since he was giving me a piggyback ride.

"(Y/N) you'll be put on my squad since it seems only you can keep the brat at bay," Levi grumbled and I smiled.

"Yes sir!" I purred and he huffed as he told everyone their positions. I hugged Eren tighter and smiled.

"Is everyone ready?" Erwin's voice boomed out and I was behind Petra as Eren was by Levi. He looked back at me and I smiled at him ad a soft smile curved his lips. I looked down at my black and white horse and I ran my hand over its head gently when it picked up speed. I smiled and looked over when someone killed a titan and I bit my lower lip gently and shuddered. We had found Marco's body that day Eren's sealed the wall... I pushed the memory away and kept going, looking straight forward at the back of Eren's head. I felt my heart beat against my chest and I wanted to turn back and coward down but.. I looked at Petra and she gave a reassuring smile and I smiled back and kept going.

Breaking up into formation B... The right flank was wiped out too so Levi drove us into the forest and I looked around at the beautiful scenery.

"Hey Eren..." I looked at my boyfriend and smiled.

"We'll be together forever right?" I smiled and he smiled at me.

"Of course," he purred.

"Not even grouchy men can keep us apart," he snickered.

"Watch it brat she's my sister and I have a say in this as a legal guardian," Levi growled and went between us and I pouted.

"Just cause you can't get a love life doesn't mean you have to ruin mine," I whined.

"Oi! Watch it!" He spat at me and I smiled. I yawned and looked up at the tall trees, the sunshine gleaming through the thick branches and landed on the dusty forest floor as leaves twirled about.

"Hey do you guys hear that?" I murmured and looked around. A soft sound... Like footsteps...

"Oi brat!" Levi spat when I twisted around. I kicked the horse gently as it pelted down as I swerved from formation.

"Hey!" I gasped in shock at a bloodied woman.

"Help... Her..." She dropped a kid and I froze in horror as I heard footsteps.

"Go!" She pushed the kid towards me and I lifted her onto my lap.

"Wait I can help you too!" I jumped down when the titan stomped behind her and grabbed the frail woman.

"No!" I spun on my heel in horror as more surrounded and I covered my ears as tears dripped down my face. The screams... I cried harder and fell to my knees.

"Mama..." I looked up, eyes widened at the small child as she slipped off the horse and looked at me.

"Mama," she smiled and a titan reached for her.

"MOVE!" I felt like I wasn't in my own body or even controlling it as I Pushed her and my blades drove down the flesh of the titans hand as blood spurted. I gasped and went backwards as I grabbed her hand and tossed her onto the horse and swerved around. I was surrounded...

"Mama," she touched my cheek and I looked down at her in shock.

"Mama!" She giggled and Nuzzled me happily. I touched her head gently with a shaky hand as I choked on my own sobs. I was now a soldier... Sister to humanity's strongest...

"I won't let you die," I gripped her small hands in mine. I looked up and met the eyes of the titan as I gripped my swords now

"I'll protect you kid," I smiled softly when I grappled the trees. I lost her real mom... But.. This kid will live!

Levis POV

That brat! I looked around but no sign of her. Eren was loosing it and I sighed.

"Keep going," I growled.

"Captain!" Petra cried.

"Just keep going!" I spat.

"Levi its your sister we're talking about!" Gunther spat.

"And that brat had a death wish! Keep going!" I spat angrily. Petra seemed horrified, Eld was angry and so was Oluo. Gunther wouldn't look at me and Eren was in shock. I sighed as I looked over when the female Tiran bursted through the Trees. Damn it (Y/N)! You were supposed to stay here stupid brat!

"Pick up the speed! Eren stay by me at all times!" I growled and he huffed.

Damn brat wanted to turn.

"(Y/N) wants you safe," I growled and looked at him.

"Do it for her sake," I huffed.

"What if she's dead!" He spat and I looked forward, easily hiding my grief and sadness.

"She isn't," I mumbled.

"She'll be expecting you to return safely as well so don't be stupid and screw up!" I spat.

The damn titan escaped again! I glared down at the corpse as the titans ate her. I huffed and looked around.
