Background:
The year is 2017, magic is something that most people don't bat an eye at as it as become son ingrained with modern society. Mages however aren't just allowed to go around and do whatever and once they discover their powers they are forced to register to one of the 5 officially recognized "schools" of magic. The schools are as following:
1) The Order: a religious organization that is tasked with maintaining the power of the old gods. They regularly use homunculi to store the egos of old gods so that they can directly communicate with people in the modern day. They are lead by a woman named Iris who is hailed for her alchemical skills
2) The Leo Institute: an institution whose sole focus is the innovation of magic in all its forms. They are lead by a man named Leon who is part of a long line of "headmasters" of the institute.
3) The Round Table: an organization whose sole purpose is to keep the peace between the different schools of magic. They are lead by a woman named gwenivere
4) the East Magicians Company: the East Magicians Company (or EMC for short) is dedicated to the procurement and sale of magical goods.
5) The Net: the net is the largest organization as it serves as a contracted agency. Magicians who wish to use their talent for more mundane things usually end up in the net but the net also has a second purpose. Mages who wish to hone their combat skills while in the net spend their days hunting down "shards" of mages who refuse to register to one of the schools, shards are usually criminals or killers who can't get into the other schools. The Net is operated by 5 separate magic based A.I. Known as the sisters

Scenario:
(Y/c) is the newest member of the nets combat division and is just starting to find their footing when the entire world starts to turn onto its head. Follow their journey chapter by chapter as they uncover the truth behind the Net.
