Chapter 6: The Demon

Annabel's POV
I placed the weapons on the counter and Max went behind the counter. "So, how much are these?" Max thought for a brief moment. "It's on the house since you are new here." I gasped, "Really?! Thank you so much Max!!!" He chuckled. "Good luck with the angel hunting, dearie." "Thanks." I said, grabbing my weapons. Cathy pointed to a door that next to the counter on the right. "That's the exit, Annabel. I promise you there are no holes I can push you into!" She laughed and I smiled. "Thank you, Max and Cathy. I will come back to visit!" Raven and I headed to the door. "Goodbye Raven and Annabel! Hope to see you soon!" Max and Cathy exclaimed. Just before I opened the door, Max walked up to me. He handed me a small pot of ink and small mirror. In case you need our help, use this ink and write on the mirror, 'Max and Cathy, you are needed.' The ink will never run out unless we both are dead, but we are very hard to kill." I smiled at Max. "Thank you." Then Raven and I opened the door and went through. There were a lot of stairs to climb. I groaned. "Come on," Raven said, grabbing my arm, "we have a long ways to go."

Raven's POV
When we finally reached the top of the stairs, there was a door. I opened it and Annabel collapsed on the floor. "FINALLY!! NO MORE STAIRS!!" She cried. As a joke, I said, "Uh, Annabel, there still are stairs that we need to climb.." She lifted her head and screamed, "MORE DAMN STAIRS?! WHY THE BLOODY HELL WOULD MAX DO THIS?!" I laughed, "I'm just kidding, Annabel." She glared at me. "I would kill you right now, but I'm exhausted." "I'll set up a camp, but you have to take first watch then." She sighed and said, "Whatever. I'll sleep now then.." Her head crashed onto the floor once again.

*Time Skip to the Next Day*

Annabel's POV
Raven and I decided to go to London for supplies. On the way, we talked about our families. "My sister's name was Victoria. Victoria and I would always go swimming in the lake and pick flowers to give to our neighbors. She was the nicest sister that I could ever ask for and I miss her dearly." Raven sniffed. I felt bad for Raven, but I wouldn't know what is was like to lose a sibling because I was an only child. "So, what was your family like, Annabel?" I smiled,"Most of the time, my parents were busy so my maid, Lucy, took care of me. She was like a second mother to me. She taught me how to do a lot of things, like sewing and baking. We had a lot of fun together, and sometimes I wished dearly that she was my mother instead of my maid. I love and miss Lucy a lot." Tears started to stream down my face and I wiped them off. Raven looked at me,"We have arrived at London."

Raven's POV
As Annabel and I went from shop to shop, I had a strange feeling that something was wrong. It felt like there was something that I needed to watch out for.

Sebastian's POV
The young master and I were in London because of a new case given by the Queen. We soon arrived at the crime scene. There we saw the Inspector and Scotland Yard. "Hello, gentlemen," said Young Master, smirking.

Ciel's POV
As I was discussing the case with the Inspector and Scotland Yard, I noticed two girls coming out of a shop that was next to the crime scene. "Hey, you two over there!" The Inspector cried,"Back away from the crime scene! There is nothing to see here!" One of the girls smirked. "If there is nothing to see there," she said,"then why is the front of the shop covered in blood?" The other girl laughed. The Inspector, red-faced, said,"Just keep moving along!" The girls both giggled and walked off. 'Hmmmm, I wonder who those girls are. Maybe they know something about the case.' I thought to myself. "Young master, is something wrong?" I look at Sebastian, then look at the Inspector and Scotland Yard. "Thank you for your assistance. I must go now. Sebastian." "Yes, sir." Sebastian replied. "Let's go." We started to follow the girls. Soon, they both turned around, irritated. "Do you need something?" One snapped. "Oh yes, how rude of me. I am Earl Ciel Phantomhive, head of the Phantomhive manor." "I am Annabel, and this is Raven." The girl said. I just then noticed that Raven was giving Sebastian a weird look. Sebastian noticed this too. "I am Sebastian Michaelis, head butler of the Phantomhive manor." Raven nodded slowly, then looked at Annabel. "We must go now," Raven said,"we still have some shopping to do." They both started to leave, but I stopped them. "It's getting dark, isn't it?" They both looked up. "Why, I suppose you're right." Annabel said, slightly disappointed. "Are you both close to your homes?" "Um..." Raven and Annabel started to whisper to each other.

Raven's POV
"What should we do?" Annabel hissed at me,"Should we tell the truth or lie?" "Let me handle this!" I whispered. We both looked at Ciel and Sebastian. "Our home is a little far from here." I smiled,"Would you mind.." Ciel interrupted,"How far is your home from London?" "Oh, I say about 1-2 hours." He shook his head. "I'll take you both to my manor, if that's alright." "Ok," Annabel said.

Sebastian's POV
Soon, we all arrived at the manor. The girls got off the carriage. "Why, what a beautiful manor you have, Earl Phantomhive!!" Ciel gave a little smile. "Thank you. Please, just call me Ciel." We all went inside the manor. "Please, Annabel and Raven, follow me." I said, leading the girls to the guest room after Ciel went to his office. Annabel went inside and Raven shut the door behind her. She looked at me and asked,"Can I speak with you privately, please?" I nodded. We walked out into a beautiful garden that was full of roses. Raven spun around and looked at me. "Sebastian, are you a demon?" She questions. I didn't say anything for a while. I look at her straight in the eye. "You see," I grinned, "I'm simply...." My eyes flashed red,"one HELL of a butler."
