Annabel's POV
I was still in bed but I was awake. 'What exactly happened a few hours ago?' I wondered, my mind still a bit foggy. There was a knock at my door. I quickly got out of bed and changed. "Come in!" James then entered the room. "James! What are you doing here?" I wondered aloud. He said to me,"Arabella has a message for you: Come see me soon. I have a surprise for you." I wondered in my head,'I wonder what the surprise is..' I was about to say thank you to him but then Raven came into the room. "Ciel wants to speak with us in his office.." She said a bit angrily. James and I looked at each other. "Which one of us? Annabel or me?" James asked, concerned. "Both." Raven said, turning around and left the room."I wonder why he wants to speak with us..." James shrugged, and we both went to Ciel's office.

Ciel's POV
I was waiting for Annabel and James in my office. Raven was already here. She looked at me, a little confused. She looked like she was about to say something but then Annabel and James came. "Did you want to see us....Ciel..." Annabel said quietly, wringing her hands and not exactly looking at me. What was wrong with Annabel? I nodded and said,"We have been invited to a ball, hosted by Elizabeth. She would like for us to come at 6 o'clock." I then looked at James. "I have told her about you, in case you were wondering." James nodded and said,"Thank you." I then said that we would go into town to get new clothes for them for the ball. Annabel finally looked at me. "I don't wish to attend the ball..." She muttered. I was surprised. "Why not? Elizabeth is looking forward to see you!"

Annabel's POV
Ciel looked surprised at what I said. "Why not? Elizabeth is looking forward to see you!" Tears began to stream down my face. I ran out of Ciel's office, sobbing. I accidentally ran into someone. "I-I'm s-s-sorry!!" I hiccuped. Looking up, I now realized I ran into Sebastian. "S-Sebastian! Where were you?" He looked at me. "A better question," Sebastian said, quite sternly,"is why are you crying?" I was shocked that he asked me that question. "What?" I said angrily, rubbing my eyes,"You actually care about me?! I thought you cared about RAVEN!!!" Sebastian looked as if I slapped him. He looked like he was about to say something but I pushed him away from me and ran into the garden. Arabella immediately appeared to me. "What's wrong?" She then got angry and shouted,"WHO MADE YOU CRY?! Was it that demon?! He is going to pay!!" She began to storm toward the manor but I grabbed her arm. Sniffling, I said quietly,"Sebastian did nothing. I made myself cry." Her eyes softened and she walked me to a bench. We sat down and Arabella looked at me. "What happened? Why are you crying?" I took a deep breath and slowly began to stop crying. "A few moments ago, everyone except Sebastian were in Ciel's office. He told us that we were invited to a ball hosted by his..." I trailed off. Arabella held my hand and asked quietly,"His what, dear?" Tears began to fill my eyes once again. "HIS FIANCÉE!!" I sobbed into my hands.

Arabella's POV
"HIS FIANCÉE!!" Annabel sobbed. I was not surprised. Most young nobles had arranged marriages. I patted her hand. "Dear girl, do you love Ciel?" She looked at me and said quietly,"I...I-I don't know...." I gave her a small smile. "Well, I have something that might cheer you up." I slowly took something out of my pocket. She looked at my hands. "What is it?" She pondered. "Well, after your manor burned down, I went through the the remains and found some things that were not damaged." I opened my hands and Annabel gasped. In my hands, I had three things. Annabel slowly picked up one and said softly,"Mother's wedding ring....." It was a beautifully crafted ring. It was a thin, silver band with small roses and vines engraved on it. Annabel then saw the other two objects in my hand. One was a small box and hair ornament. "I know what belonged to who!" Annabel exclaimed happily,"Lucy's hair ornament and Father's box that he kept on his dresser!" She opened the box and looked inside. "I never saw this before..." Annabel muttered to herself. In the box was a small glass rose. She picked up the hair ornament and said,"This was Lucy's hair ornament from when she went to Japan a few years ago!" The ornament was thin and blue. It had some small light blue roses with hints of gold. I smiled at Annabel. "You know, that would be something beautiful to wear at the ball." She looked at me and said,"Are you trying to convince me to go to the ball?" I laughed. "You never know if you might enjoy the ball and have fun! Please, go for me." Annabel grinned, then said,"Fine, I'll go to the ball. For you."
