James' POV
While the man called Sebastian approached us, I felt the sudden urge to protect Raven. I pulled her close to me and hugged her. She looks up at me in surprise. "Raven, do you know this man?" I whispered in her ear. She nodded and whispered,"He's the head butler of the manor that I'm staying at currently." "What?!" Sebastian cleared his throat a little bit too loudly. "Raven, please come with me back to the manor." Was he jealous or something? Raven began to walk toward Sebastian but turned to look at me. "James, come with me." Sebastian glared at me with pure hatred in his eyes. I immediately knew that we wouldn't get get along. "I don't think he..." She interrupted him. "James is my best friend in the entire world and I haven't seen him for a few years so you will let him come with us!!" I had never heard Raven use that kind of voice before; it scared me a little. "As you wish, Raven." Sebastian growled. She smiled and grabbed my hand. I could have sworn Sebastian's eyes flashed red for a brief moment.

Annabel's POV
When I woke up this morning, I saw that Raven was gone. I let out a deep breath. 'She's probably in the garden again..' I got dressed and went downstairs to the kitchen. I put on an apron and began to bake cookies for Ciel as a thank you gift. A few moments later, Sebastian came into the kitchen. I looked at him and said in a teasing voice,"Hello, Sebastian. Where's your girlfriend, Raven?" He frowned at me. "We are not dating, nor do I know where Raven is." I was surprised. "Do you like Raven?" Sebastian looked at me, startled by my question. "Uh, yes...why do you ask??" I shrugged. "No reason." I said, putting the cookies in the oven.

As I was taking the cookies out the oven, I noticed than Sebastian looked distracted. As an experiment, I yelled,"SEBASTIAN!! THE MANOR IS ON FIRE!!!" He didn't even bother looking at me. "I'm going to find Raven," he said quickly,"please tell the young master I'll be right back!" "Oh, uh, ok.." I was startled. I put the cookies on a plate after they cooled off a little bit. I went to Ciel's office with the plate and knocked. I heard Ciel say "come in" and went in his office. He looked up from his paperwork and said,"Oh Annabel! Do you need something??" I shook my head and put the plate on his desk. "I actually wanted to thank you for letting Raven and I stay at your manor." He looked surprised. "Why, thank you Annabel. It's no trouble at all!" I bit my lip and said quietly,"Actually, to be honest, Raven and I don't have a home or family." "What?!" Ciel yelled, then shook his head. "You two can stay as long as you need to." I smiled, grateful, and exclaimed,"Thank you so much Ciel!!" I hugged him, not noticing his face beginning to turn a bright red. "P-please let go of me, Annabel." I let go of him. Just then, we both heard a crashing sound and some yelling. We both ran to the direction of the noise, then saw a horrific sight. Raven was covered in blood, trying to prevent Sebastian and a boy from killing each other. Sebastian's tailcoat was torn in many places and had a bloody nose. The boy had a black eye and had cuts on his chin, arm, and cheek. Raven kept yelling at them to stop, but neither one of them would listen. I ran up to the boy and grabbed his wrist. He punched me in the eye and I fell to the ground.

Raven's POV
When I saw Annabel fall to the floor while holding her eye, I felt something inside of me snap. Fury ran through my veins, causing me to lose control. Without knowing, my eyes turned red and I had fangs. My nails also grew longer and became black. "STOP IT!!" I screamed, lunging at the boys. They both briefly stopped fighting and stared at me, eyes wide. I stopped, now paralyzed with fear. I heard Ciel gasp and saw Annabel looking at me, stunned. "Raven..." She said in a small voice,"What happened to you?"
