Peridot and Moonstone sat stunned in the dirt. Their mouths were wide open. After all the torture he just caused them he asked for help. His eyes looked firm enough. He was dead serious about this. The two had nothing else to do so they got up from the ground.

"Fine, but we want to be treated like gems and not monsters. Deal?" Peridot shivered. Chris thought about it and put his hand out. Peridot put her hand out along with Moonstone. They thought that it would be a handshake but it wasn't. He raised his hand high and bumped their fists from the bottom. Chris went to the front with a balled up fist and ran his hand into their hands. He finished it off with a exaggerated jazz hand.

Peridot and Moonstone were highly alert as Chris and Garnet burst out laughing. They almost couldn't stop.  Chris stopped in enough time to walk away towards the barn. It was sealed. They were a team. Chris trained his eyes on the darkened barn. He could make out Amethyst, Pearl, and Onyx. Spirita and Sapphira were gone.

"Where is everyone?" Chris asked confused. Onyx finally saw him and tilted his head towards further into the barn. Onyx was still tinkering with his weapon. It wasn't able to stop Leafa. Chris walked further into the barn only to have a knife brought to his throat. Sapphira stood in front of him with a deathly gaze. "G-Gosh Sapphira! T-That k-kind of scared me!" He shouted stumbling on to the ground.

"Oh sorry Chris. I just didn't see you there. I guess I might have taken it a little bit too far with people I don't exactly know!" Sapphira remarked. She walked away and turned the lights on. Chris was amazed as the barn lit up. It was huge. There was a section where Spirita lay unconscious. Spirita was barely breathing, but Sapphira must have changed her and fed her. Unless... Chris shivered thinking that Onyx would change Spirita. That's was just a weird thought. The crystal gems knew nothing about humans unlike them.

Sapphira sat down in a chair besides Spirita. Chris sat with her. The thought then popped in his head. Where was Steven and Connie. He looked all around the barn and saw them nowhere. He didn't remember them outside either.

"Steven and Connie are at Connie's house if you were wondering," Sapphira muttered. She had to be furious. He felt a little bad, but she didn't understand. "Steven can't comprehend what's going on. He's devastated. I feel so bad for him. At such a young age too," Sapphira genuinely spoke from her heart. This confused Chris. He was 13 and 1/3 years old. Get it right. Steven was only 12. Why didn't he get sympathy. Steven also barely knew the people that got hurt. It also confused him because Sapphira, Onyx, Leafa, and Spirita are 12 year olds with 17 year old bodies and powers.

"Don't you have anything better to do, Chris?" Sapphira asked. Chris was taken aback as he stumbled backwards. Onyx looked at him. His smile wavered.

"Chris by the way. Don't treat my girlfriend like a maid," He started throwing his flail around. It grazed against Chris's hair. "Or I may have to help her beat you up. And it won't be a pretty sight," Onyx threatened. None of his friends were here to back Chris up. He had gotten on the wrong foot with these gems. Chris nodded slowly and turned to Pearl. She scanned some paper and groaned. Amethyst walked over to the stressed gem.

"What's wrong, P? Something getting on your nerves?" Amethyst asked. She held a hint of concern in her voice. Pearl looked at Amethyst with a tint of blush. She was embarrassed that the slacking gem was asking if she needed help.

"Just that something weird is happening in the ocean. I can't find out what!" Pearl burst out. Amethyst patted Pearl's back slowly.

"For payback, make yourself useful Chris. Go find out what's going on," Onyx ordered. Chris rolled his eyes and waved goodbye to everyone in the barn. He had taken a peek at Pearl's papers and knew exactly where to go. He grabbed Peridot and Moonstone's hands and he was off. Of course the two gems were confused and terrified.

"The human Chris! Please of please let go of our hands. We do not know our location!" Peridot screeched. Chris started holding back some laughter at his name. Moonstone looked marveled that Chris was even touching her after what she'd done.

"Chris I will make sure that our kids are beautiful...," She whispered with a hint of excitement. Chris quickly let go of her and kept walking with Peridot.

"Nope,Nope,Nope,Nope. You can't even have kids because if you did then you'd die. Also I'm not interested," Chris shouted from across the beach. Moonstone started to fake cry and run after him. She caught up to him and wrapped around his arm. He groaned in frustration. "I swear if you do anything to me I will personally hurt you," Chris mumbled in disgust. Moonstone finally understood.

"Chris are you into guys?"

"Wait w-"

"I STILL LOVE YOU! I'LL TURN INTO A GUY JUST FOR YOU IF YOU WANT!" She cried. She started to shapeshifter, but Chris stopped her.

"I'm not into guys Moonstone! I just don't find an interest in you!" Chris yelled. Moonstone was still smiling brightly. Peridot on the other hand was howling in laughter.

"You clod! The human Chris clod has no liking to you!" Peridot said in between laughs. Moonstone looked at Peridot and started stepping forward. "Oh no! The human Chris clod! Help!" Peridot fake cried. Chris groaned pushing Moonstone away from Peridot. "Oh thank you the human Chris clod! You're my hero!" Peridot mocked. Chris started to waddle into the water, letting go of both the gems' hands.

"Peridot stop it! Chris is a real hero and my sweetheart!" Moonstone pouted.

"Chris is literally thousands of years younger than you!" Peridot smiled. Moonstone gripped the place where her gem was and acted like she was struck there. "I won you clod! Admit it!" Peridot cheered.

"You would have won if you understood love. Oh wait you aren't capable of it are you? Chris and I understand it and that's why we're dating!" Moonstone shouted.

"No we're not," Chris poked his head out from underwater and shouted. He went back under as quick as he came.

"Love is comedy. Why love when you have work to do?" Peridot questioned. Moonstone patted Peridot's dorito hair and smiled.

"Let me teach you why!"

"Teaching later! Help me carry this lovely lady back to base!" Chris shouted while waddling out of the ocean with a girl. She had a gem in between her shoulder blades. Her hair was a blazing red which was in a braid neatly done. Her bangs tumbled down the sides of her face and touching the bit of her clothes. She wore a black homeworld uniform and a cloak. She was astounding, and Moonstone couldn't help but feel jealous that Chris was holding the girl and not her.

"Moonstone you clod! Are you going to help or not?"
